Well it has been crazy! So I worked on the Twin's Birthday cards last night and here is Skyler's card...he is an Angry Birds fan... I used the new Beyond Plaid stamp set on the front with Basic Gray ink... Saturday my twin babies turn 13! Yikes two more teenagers in the house!! Kendall has decided to have a party but not Skyler (he's too cool)...LOL! Kendall and 9 of her friends are going to a cooking class - Kendall loves to cook! So one of my downline showed me this awesome idea and we turned it into her Party Favours! We filled mason jars with candy - yum, minimally decorated them and attached an idea card to them that reads... Isn't that a neat idea? So what's neat about this technique? It's not new, it's actually years old but it's the new variation on the technique that's fun...in my card I have combined the old and new techniques together... let me explain...I stamped the images in white craft ink on black card stock (it must be black) and rubbed in, with my finger, coloured chalks into the craft ink...which makes them look like chalked images - previous to this we used Versa Mark which you can use too but you don't get a sharp chalk image...the key is to use some BLACK chalk around the... Happy Monday to you! Well as things go, my euchre night did not go as planned...actually my whole day started off wrong with a migraine...so I spent the afternoon sleeping it off before we left, then my son's hoockey game was cancelled only to find this out after we drove all the way to his game (30 minutes away)...so I was in a funk all night and the cards didn't come...so my partner and I finished 4th out of 9 teams...ugh! Well I hope I'm back...did you miss me? Did you notice I was even away? I was really sick with the flu, it looks like it was starting to effect my heart as I was so exhausted and by the time I finally got a Drs appointment my pulse was very weak, my heart was pounding and my blood pressure was very low...so I was sent off to get a battery of tests...and some of my results have started to come back in...I really hate being sick...so I need to take things a little slow for a while...right!!
