Forrester Research have put together a new independent research that talks about our technology. Below is a summary, the report can be download here. Database migrations have always been complex, time-consuming, and costly due to proprietary data structures and data types, SQL extensions, and pr...
"Qualified", regardless of product testing or proof of concept, means that there is a real need of migration, budget allocated and a genuine interest in the SQL Skin technology.
Thanks.

Transforming In Front of Everyone’s Eyes
ANTs software has made a strategic transformation over the past few years, evolving from a narrow niche tech player into a growing, disruptive force. As the end of 2008 approached, we announced the first deployment of the ANTs Compatibility Server (ACS) with the Wyndham Hotel Group. This announcement was not only a game changing event for our company, it resonated deeply through out the industry. That day in 2008 also caught the eye of the biggest player at the technology table -- IBM. Since teaming with IBM in 2009, they have helped transform ANTs into what we are today. IBM’s... “Raising” the Bar
As previously announced, we have recently closed on a new round of financing. This additional capital is going to further fund ANTs’ development and go-to-market strategy for our innovative database migration solutions. Some critics contended it would be near impossible for our company to raise capital in today’s environment. However, there are believers out there who understand which direction our company is headed. ANTs software is moving along as anticipated. We’ve signed several contracts over the past few months and revenues from these announced deals will only help to propel us to the next level. Our partnership with IBM grows... Continue reading

Don't Stop Believin'
The title to today’s blog couldn’t be more appropriate. Everyone at ANTs is disappointed that our shares have been taking an epic beating. While we know that this is because a very large shareholder has decided to unwind his position with what seems like little concern for the price, we also know that the selling won't last forever. Many of you have asked me "How do we feel about the share price?" .... The answer is simple. First, as painful as it may be, the selling is flushing the "weak hands" out of our stock and, ultimately, that is a... Continue reading

Albert, there is no logic to explain that behavior other than a personal motive.
Bruce, thanks for your comment.

We have had a large shareholder selling his position and we have no reason to believe it's motivated by fundamentals but rather by personal needs.

IBM and ANTs: October Update
With the announcement of our partnership with IBM behind us, I wanted to give a quick update on where we stand. IBM recently sent sales people down to Atlanta for training in the third quarter for what is typically a heavy sales push in both the third and fourth quarters of this year. When budgets were being prepared in 2009, no one had heard of the DB2 SQL Skin product. With our product now available, the DB2 SQL Skin should be earmarked for 2011 budgets with bookings beginning in the fourth quarter of 2010. This, along with Sybase license renewals... Oracle and IBM full attack on HP
It is very evident that Oracle and IBM want HP out of the picture. It is interesting to see how these vendors have created combined hardware, storage and software solutions to compete against vendors like HP. HP is in a difficult spot by not having a key infrastructure component like the databas...
Wayne,
I believe a potential merger between Oracle and HP is extremely beneficial to both companies. Oracle needs the critical mass of HP's hardware installed based and HP desperately needs the software solutions that Oracle has. Otherwise, HP in particular could end up being a vendor of hardware commodity and disappear like Sun did. Yes, it sounds strange that a $123B companies follows the fate of Sun but the IT industry is filled with stories of huge hardware vendors that went down because they were unable to transform their companies into a provider of entire solutions.
The key to survival is pretty much defined on what Sam Palmisano, IBM's Chairman and CEO said recently (please review my blog entry about it: http://antsblog.typepad.com/ants-software-blogs/2010/09/innovation.html).
Back to ANTs, I can say that our technology empowers the vendors that focus in entire solutions by enabling not only database consolidation but also server and storage consolidation. That is the very nature of our current IBM deals.
Thanks,
Joe.
Larry Ellison wishes rarely go unrealized!
The title is a quote that I found in this article on Daily Finance: http://srph.it/aBddL6 Ellison’s ultimate goal seems to be to compete head-to-head against IBM. In order to achieve that, he needs to acquire H-P. Ellison’s track record indicates that he will get his wish. As the market c...
