Interests: I had been a California native; living in Huntington Beach, Orange County for over 30 years, owning my own hair studio, Avenue R and had been doing make-up for M.A.C. Cosmetics from 2002-2008. Moving to New Town in 2008 with my fiance` gave me a chance to start a new career in the fitness industry which has been a part of my life since childhood. Being a competitive gymnast for over ten years and a snowboarder for recreation, I had also competed in colligate swimming and ran in two- half marathons. For fun, I like to jump out of perfectly good planes for a nice rush. Now owning CrossFit-TNT, I will give every member the ability to do more than just be a cardio junkie, a muscle head or do the machines! Crossfit is not only my way of life, but is the way of life for the members that I train! CrossFit is a lifestyle that will be a part of you. Being able to help others with there health and fitness needs, I pride myself with the way members change there attitude on eating, working out and living a clean lifestyle. I make sure that each of my clients have short term goals along with long term goals. Hitting PR's on time and weight is a great goal, but the most important part is getting the foundation of every skill done correctly, so injuries will never occur. I will never train the same workout twice, unless it one of the “stamps” of CrossFit. Something new is in store each and every time you work out with me. I am CrossFit L1, and CPR/First Aid certified. I teach seminars, work shops, group CF, and one-on-ones. CF TNT is competitive and recreational. This month’s primary focus will be on sprinting, running and sled work. There will be a lot of shorter distance higher speed running and sled work at various weights. We will do a lot of shorter distances sprints and we do so because of the many benefits it has. It is very important to not neglect the long slow distance work but the majority of running should be at a higher pace. This week’s workout is a couplet of thrusters and bar-facing burpees. The workout starts at 21 repetitions of each movement and goes down to 18-15-12-9-6-3. 5 former/current CrossFit champions including Annie Thorisdottir, Sam Briggs, Graham Holmberg, Jason Khalipa, and Rich Fronning where the first to attack 14.5 in San Francisco.
