Man, these billionaire owners needs to chill and just give the refs their salaries. I can't believe you're excusing them for locking the refs out and bringing in scab refs. Sure they make mistakes but that doesn't mean they've lost the right to earn a living. The league want to make things a whole lot worse for the refs in the terms of employment, and I sympathize completely with the refs on this issue. I'm actualy thinking about boycotting the league until this is solved. It makes me sick.

If Buford is having Pop pull all the strings, that makes him a great GM. You can't really argue with him being no. 1 for the decade, three rings? With that budget?

Does anyone hava a compilation of what PG's are realistically available? Heck, how much would Starbury cost at this point? He seems motivated for coming back and to me the whole streaming thing isn't that big a deal. The biggest reason not to would be if the videos have made him unpopular among the other players.

White and gold without green? Seems to me that there should be some green around there... I agree about our uniforms being the nicest though. Other than us, I'd say the sixers, the bobcats, the spurs, the rockets and the trailblazers are neat as well. Among the ugly ones the knicks, the warriors, the lakers and the magic come to mind. The Warriors are probably the worst.

I'd say Scal is more like a '98 Buick with 80 000 while TA is more like a Nascar. Now, you could use a racing car for getting around, you just have to be careful and take it nice and slow. I'm not saying that I'd RATHER play TA, I'm saying I'd JUST AS SOON play TA. You could get better, you could get worse.

It seems they believe quite a lot in Bill Walker, let's just hope he's ready. TA isn't really THAT awful, he's just not good. I definately would rely on TA just as soon as rely on, say Scal or Shelden Williams. I can see a second unit like Daniels; House; Walker/Allen; Davis; Wallace. It's actually a pretty strong second unit.

I always thought Haywood had the best blog among NBA players, but have to agree this one was terrible. Homophobia was outdated in the 30's or thereabouts.

Magic over Big O? Magic was great but Robertson was incredibly good. I mean incredibly. All time would go something like PG Oscar Robertson SG MJ SF Larry Legend PF Duncan C Wilt Chamberlain An alternative would be to have Russell play the four with Wilt center, like they used to play in the all-star games in the sixties. That is some frontcourt. But since Bill is a natural C, I have to go with Duncan. Barkley is a candidate in that position as well.

If 20/10 is criteria, Zach Randolph has 20/10 per 36 minutes over his career... On the serious side, the 5 "undebatables" are undebatable, as is probably 2-time MVP Steve Nash. Jason Kidd seems like an obvious choice as well. If Pierce is a candidate based upon Finals MVP merits, D-Wade has a lot better career averages and is an olympic champion. Ben Wallace is a four-time Defensive PotY, four-time all-star, five-times all-defenisve 1st team, and the 7th highest total rebound % all time. Then again, Dennis Rodman isn't on the original list, so I guess truly great defense isn't that valued. Speaking of which, shouldn't Rodman be there?

Man, couldn't we even get him the minimum with a team option? This is getting depressing...

That's a hard one. Obviously Magic was better than Cousy and West probably a better 2 than Pierce (considering he's out of position), but Bird is definately a lot better than Jerry West ever was, and I don't see any Laker PF:s as good as McHale (if we can't have KG, you can't have Malone). At Center, you can't have Wilt since he was mostly a Philly player, but Kareem should suffice with Shaq as backup. Kareem or Russell? I'd go with Russell, but these are both top-5 centers all-time. Hard to say. In whole, the all-time lakers would be better offensively, but the all-time Celtics would be a lot tighter defensively. It'd be close. It's the two best franchises in the league.

And Havlicek off the bench;-)

KG is probably than McHale was, and together with Russel he'd form the most frightening interior defense concievable. However, that woudl alter your thought behind the whole thing so I can see why he's left out. Allen would probably be on the bench. Everything else seems about right.

"Storytelling" by Todd Solondz or "Kill Bill" by Tarantino would probably get my votes. Most great movies are from the 90's though.

Yeah, this is just awful. I really wanted Leon back, he's just a great guy and a great player. He earned an extension. I think considering the low salary they really should have given him a chance. I hope he returns but understands if he doesn't, considering how he's been treated. He is a fan favorite and has a bright future once he becomes healthy again.

I'm not so sure this is such a weak draft. It is weak in wing players but in big men and especially in point guards there are several interesting prospects. One player I would love for the C's is DeJuan Blair, maybe we can trade up for him in the mid first round. For the Wolves, they can get two top prospects with picks 5 and 6, I'm not so sure they'll go for Rubio. Think James Harden to take Millers spot at the 2 and then there will be several PG options at the 6: Most likely all but one of Holiday, Curry, Evans... I think they don't have to trade up.

There are loads of people who don't overcome, but at least learn to live with alcoholism and lead their lives sober. And there are loads of people who die from it. It's a psychological disease, part of the definition. It's not about "wanting" to get rid of it: you could as easily talk about how people have to "want" to get rid of cancer or whatever. One out of ten who starts drinking actually becomes an alcoholic eventually.

Are you seriously mad at Baker for being an alcoholist? Man, it's a disease. Hate the sin, not the sinner. Villanueva would be great, only problem is that if he'll have to do with the kind of money we can offer him, he'll surely re-sign with the Bucks, which he has said he want to several times. I really can't see him coming here, unless we trade for him.

I'm not judging, just saying it's a pretty real possibility Doc quits because of his family. He's said so several times.

Doc Rivers is always talking about spending time with the family, how basketball comes second etc. Thibs can take over when he moves down to FLA for good.
