Totally hit home with what I've been thinking lately! My 3 kids are still 7 and under and I already can't remember most of the last decade! I'm jumping into project life this year for the first time, a little nervous, but excited to have a plan. And I figure, if I don't get it all down, it's ok, I'll still have more than if I hadn't tried at all!
wishing you happiness and joy ~ and my resolution for 2013
Life is busy, especially this time of the year, so I wanted to keep my Christmas card making simple, but still creative and personal. Paislee Press had this really wonderful pre-made digital Christmas card template and I knew as soon as I saw it, it would be perfect for us this year! Instead ...
I'd love to know more about that box under the desk with 12x12 papers! I'm trying to reorganize mine right now and can't find much.
scrapping spaces–suz doyle
As she works from home Suz has commandeered the front end of her living room as a home office and crafting are. The living area is an awkward long narrow space, and so she moves things around with fairly high frequency, trying to make everything that has to happen in this area flow functi...
After two years of convincing myself I'll do it my way, I need to break down and get the kit so I actually do it. I need the structure and basics laid out for me!

You want to start off a Monday with a cool giveaway? Good. Me too! Thanks to my friends at Project Life Central, I get to give away what you see above. It's everything you need to get started on your own Project Life journey. But it's not just me that's giving a kit away today. Several of the ...
Great idea! Cute family photo! And your daughter gets more beautiful each year! I mean seriously, if she keeps aging better and better, she's going to have every man in the universe wrapped around her finger when she's 60. :)
My girl wants to party all the time
Aidan turned 16 on March 29th and we hosted her Sweet 16 Party last weekend. Before you have any images of "My Sweet 16" and gold-plated Mercedes convertibles or Apple stock options or diamond-encrusted tiaras (I have never seen that show, so I'm totally stabbing in the dark here), you need to...
Thanks for the ideas! I hadn't thought of "music we are listening to" and that's a good one!
2011 Christmas Memory #3...
I'm working on getting caught up on sharing my Christmas Memories here. I know the date on this one is still November, but I'm okay with that. I'm not in a rush to get it done. We still have plans to celebrate Christmas until January so I have time to catch up. I thought I'd post my tentative l...

December Daily - Day 12
Day 12 Last night I was working on my December Daily. (incidentally, here's a glimpse of what that TORNADO looks like the ENTIRE month of December...) Ah, but I digress. So anyway, back to last night. Jack came into my scrapbook room and was chatting away with me. I had a set of alpha sta...
AWESOME post! Makes me feel like taking the PL challenge that I've wanted so badly to do but been afraid of.
project life : how i make it work for me
project life. if you don't know what it is - it's a system developed by becky higgins to take the stress out of scrapbooking. for me, it's a reminder to pick up my camera and capture the everyday. a place to record that crazy thing sam said, or to have alex or ben write down something they did a...
I could relate to almost every point you made. :) You're a brave woman for putting it out there! That alone makes you worth knowing. Have fun at Scrap Fest, where people are already in love with you and can't wait to meet you. :)

Setting up a blog schedule...
Ok, so I'm trying to blog more. I really am! It's just a crazy crazy time of year right now for us! I have so much to talk about and things to share, but zero time to blog. I decided I'm going to establish a regular blog schedule so I have something to stick to...and I'm telling you all about it...
Congratulations! Any idea who the other winners are?
And the Artisan Award Winner is...
I can't contain myself any longer. I am so excited to announce that I received a phone call yesterday morning at 11:20 am (CST) from Amy Swartz, VP of Sales & Marketing at Stampin' Up! She informed me that I was one this year's winners of the 2011 Artisan Award. I was so overwhelmed with the new...
Awesome! I can't wait to see! I LOVE natural light, and I think it's best for any artistic work too!
Ready for the Ultimate Stamping Space Journey?
It started recently with the "peephole" in my ceiling above. After much discussion, budgeting and planning, I decided to revamp my current stamping space into something much more efficient (more storage and counterspace, quick access), permanent (installed cabinets) and filled with fun organi...
Oh my goodness that tree is adorable!
Linda's Petal Card Box Easter Tree
My first thought was "total magic!" My second was "I have to share this idea pronto!!!" Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Linda Cary Skehan watched this Petal Card Box Video I did previously and added my punch art bunnies and chicks. However, she took the idea to a whole new place with this Easter ...
I love almost anything vintage that's wooden. Little cubby boxes, crates, barrels. I always wonder how much time went into making them without all the power tools we have now.

Think Pink with some MFT
I have been seriously missing my "inky play time" lately! Between being sick and now working on wedding invites I haven't had time to stamp just for the fun of it. It's high time that ends :) Last week I got the chance to play with the MFT Wednesday Stamp Club, talk about a fabulous sketch?...
Ha ha! I agree, it would sell like hot cakes there. However, I'm in Southern California, and I have to drive and pay money to play in the snow. :) I'd love one day a year of good snow. Just one.
If I were to develop a line of digital brushes for use on scrapbook pages that were anti snow…
Here are some phrases you might see: Snow Sucks! or Snowpocalypse my ass! or 'snow what I think? Snow SUCKS! or Silly Snow—YOU SUCK! or You'll have to pry my snow shovel out of my cold hand…literally, because my hand is actually frozen to the shovel! or Snow what! I'm burning activity points...

Sketched in Gold
It's Monday and I'm jumping in early with my creation for the Clean and Simple Cards challenge. This week's challenge was based on a sketch and I was happy to crank out another Christmas card. The ornaments in the Trimming the Tree set had the perfect proportions for a circle panel. I used Very ...

Woo Hoo! Congrats! I have never been so free with my money buying new clothes as I am now that I am skinny again. Enjoy the jeans girl!
Tales from the Scale: New Jeans Don't Suck
What started last January has boiled down to this one fact: I bought new jeans last week—jeans that, if I'm being honest, I haven't spent that kind of coin on since my brief, misguided Guess jean phase of 1984—and the tag on those jeans that left the Lucky Brand Store with me read as follows: ...
