Hey, happy Sunday! So last night I made a baby card inspired by this week's Cure for the Monday Blues challenge. And as I really loved the result, I prepared a little photo tutorial about the process. First, the finished card: Ok, let's get started! This is what you'll need: Assorted inks -I used pigment based inks, but dye inks will work too-, post-it roll tape, an acrylic block, a stamp set for the sentiment and an embellishment of your choice. I used wooden dots because, how cute are those? First, let's make a card from a piece of cardstock.... Continue reading

Hello! And here I am, once again living on the edge and linking on the very last minute. I made this card last week for the Moxie Fab World Styling with Stencils challenge, but until today I couldn't decide about what kind of sentiment I wanted to use. But I got some new stamps two days ago and the dilemma was solved :) I die cut my own stencil with the Cameo using this file. It's a super fun design, right? You can use all the different patterns, as I did on my card, or you can play around and... Continue reading

Happy Sunday, friends! And thank you so much for all your well wishes about this. I'm so happy! Ok, what about a card for today? I just finished it and I'm blogging on real time, people. So. Not. Me ;) Taheerah's Cure for the Monday Blues challenge was once again my starting point. Oh, and she has some fun announcements you might want to check. And here's the resulting card Hero Arts frame stamped repeatedly on a yellow card + a crazy, crazy embossed die cut frame. I cut it a couple times from cardstock with the Cameo, covered it... Well, hello! As I was typing the title for this post I was still pinching myself. It's no secret that I've been a great fan of Nina Yang's designs since she started designing stamps some time ago. So when I knew that she was starting her very own company, I was beyond ecstatic! Ecstatic for her, because a great friend was bravely following her dream. And ecstatic for me, because I was lucky enough to be a part of it. So, as I told Nina then, her dream is now my dream too :) I hope you'll give the warmest... Continue reading

Hey, happy Sunday! Remember I'm always late for Taheerah's Cure for the Monday Blues challenge? Well, not this week. Ha! I made this card yesterday, and it was a fun, inky process. Meet the inspiration pic: My starting point was the pillow near the window. When I use a decor image as inspiration, I've noticed I tend to pick small details from the pic rather than the most obvious or the general "feel" of the room. It's fun how a single image can inspire people so differently. Ok, enough chatter. Here's the card. Excuse the poor pic. I've started experimenting... Continue reading

Hello, hello! I have a colorful card for this chilly Tuesday, and it was inspired by the current Runway Inspired Challenge. Check the outfit: What a skirt, right? A statement piece for sure! I immediately knew that I wanted to use this Hero Arts background and let it be the star of the show. It was stamped on watercolor paper, colored with Inktense pencils and a water brush, and trimmed to fit the front of the card. For the sentiment, I went Aga style (by the way, check what she did for this challenge. Wow!). That's it! Thanks for stopping... Continue reading

I made with some gorgeous Lawn Fawn goodies that arrived in the mail last week. It's one of those very simple projects you end up being very happy about! I love the layered tags look I've been seeing around blogland lately, so I gave it a try. The tags were die cut from black and Canson watercolor cardstock. I made a watercolored background with Inktense pencils (our love affair still goes strong one year later) and a water brush. Once dry, I stamped a sentiment from Hello Sunshine and flowers from Penelope's Blossoms. Finished with white enamel accents in the... Continue reading

And once again... *drumroll*... I'm late to Taheera's Cure for the Monday Blues challenge. I know, right? I know. It's no excuse, but time difference drives me crazy! Anyway, here's what I did inspired by this week's image. My inspiration trigger was the throw that is on the pink couch in the image. Background stamped with Trifecta by Mama Elephant. The "Brilliant" word die cut is an old freebie file from Kristina Werner that I cut with the Cameo. And the "You're" is from Simply Tags: Christmas by Nina for Avery Elle. What else? Oh, the tiny stars! I die... Continue reading

Hello there! I have another take on the hexagons challenge at the Moxie Fab World. For my first hexagons card (here) I die cut a pletora of hexagons and was left with lots of outline hexagon pieces. And of course, I couldn't throw them away. So I resorted to my favorite way to use scraps and leftovers: a tag. Here it is. I used a spare tag that was already on my desk and adhered a few of the leftover hexagon outlines. I think they make a great background :) The big "You're" was die cut with the Cameo for... Happy Sunday, guys! Are you celebrating Mardi Gras? In Bolivia, "Carnaval" is such a big and colorful thing! And the best is that we get two festive days. Which means a bit more crafting time. Which means I have a card ;) Have you heard the news at CAS-ual Fridays challenge? There's an amazing new team, and a few great changes. After two years as a Girl Friday, it will always be a challenge dear to me, and of course I had to play along in their first challenge of this "new era": use two shades of grey. And this... Well, hello! I hope you're having a nice week so far. Did you know that challenges are back at the Moxie Fab World? Right? I missed the first one (it was about constelations) but there's no way I'm missing the current challenge. Hexagons. One of the most versatile trends out there! So here is my hexagons card: I went to town with this die from WPlus9 (I used the B one). After die cutting it in a few bright colors, I was playing around with them to see how I wanted to position them on the card and oh la... Continue reading

Hi there! I have a card! I have a card! I made it inspired by my friend Taheerah's Cure for the Monday Blues challenge... and I missed the deadline. Again. But here it is anyway. As you can see, I stretched a bit out of my graphic comfort zone. It's still a clean card but at the same time it doesn't look that clean. Do I make sense? Perhaps it's because of the cream card base. Or because I was super brave and stamped my sentiment in red, ha! Does this happen to you? I tend to stamp the sentiments... Continue reading

Happy Friday! Checking in today with a card I made last weekend with some Avery Elle goodness. Throwing my hat into their guest designer search :) I started by stamping the frame from Celebrate with different colors. The I heat embossed a sentiment from Petals and Stems on a black cardstock strip and finished with a few die cut stars for good measure. As you can see it's a pretty simple card to make. It remind's me to a subway map minus the station's names. The frames where stamped with Fresh ink but guess what? A friend who came from... Continue reading

Hello friends! Guess what? Today I'm joining the Runway Inspired Challenge girls as a guest designer! I love, love, love the whole concept and would have never imagined than an outfit could be interpreted so many ways. Oh, but it sure can... just take a look at the RIC archives. Amazing. Ok, so I guess this is the closer this 1,55 metres girl will ever be to a runway, ha! Here's the inspiration outfit. It's one of Diane Von Furstenberg's signature wrap dresses, this time in a striking geometric print. Source My take on it is based on the colors... Continue reading

Hi everyone! Today's post is a bittersweet one, as it's my last one as a Girl Friday at CAS-ual Fridays Challenge. I still remember the ginormous happinness I felt when I received Michele's acceptance email after I applied for the team, and I will always be thankful to her for this great chance to be part of such a wonderful challenge. And specially for the friendships I've made. Thanks so much for everything, Michele! You're one amazing lady and I'll do my best to keep playing :) But wait! There's still a new challenge up and running. The deet is... Continue reading

Hey everyone! I'm back from CHA Winter in Anaheim! I had the most amazing time there and finally got to meet, hug and kiss (we Spanyards kiss a lot, ha!) lots of friends in real life. Oh, and also saw the most amazing new crafty goodies. But the best part was definitely the people, and specially spending time with my roomies Ashley and Tenia and making new friends too. The chats with these two ladies are something I will treasure forever in my heart and I hope we can repeat it!!! What a great experience :) Ok, so time flew... Continue reading

Hello there! Today we're bringing you the first CAS-ual Fridays Challenge of 2014! The challenge is to choose a word that describes what you hope for the new year and use it on your project. Fun :) This week we are sponsored by CAS-ual Fridays Stamps. You can check more about the awesome prize here. I haven't made a New Year resolutions list, but I definitely have a word for this year. Hey there! I hope you had a Merry Christmas. Ours was really fun, specially because I bought a turkey and had no idea how to cook it. But lots of friends and family from around the world helped me via internet, and it was a great success! My very first turkey, people. I'm an adult now! But today I'm not here to make a grand speech about my lack of cooking skills. I popped in to share a card :) The inspiration came from Runway Inspired Challenge #50 Oh, how I fiddled around with this card! Mostly because I knew... Continue reading

Hey there! A super, super, super quick entry today inspired by the Runway Inspired Challenge (ric #46). Look at this Celine Outfit: I grabbed the colors but turned the crazy cool streaks of the pattern into confetti. That's where the title of this post comes from :) The sentiment was die cut with the Cameo. It's the coca cola font! And I can't believe there's no stamping at all on this card... That's it, thanks for stopping by! Continue reading

Happy Friday, people! Thank God it arrived, it has been a crazy week around here! Ok, so time for a new CAS-ual Fridays challenge. Let's get in the Christmas spirit, shall we? This week we want to see CAS creations that include a tree, or parts of a tree. There's a wonderful prize from our sponsor, Ellen Hutson! You can find out the details here. Well, my choice was obvious. Oh, Christmas Tree... I started die cutting a tree from copy paper with the Cameo and used the negative piece to mask the front of the card and blend green... Hello! A few days ago I made a little something for the Paper Crafts Magazine November challenge and I almost missed the deadline to post it! But here it is. The challenge is all about sequins... you know, the new rhinestone ;) I made a tag: the background stripes and the sentiment are stamped and I made a heart form sequins. Here's how: adhere scor-tape to a piece of cardstock (use a cardstock that is the same color as your sequins). Die cut a heart. Adhere the sequins. Then, veeeery carefully, trim the edges of the heart so they won't... Continue reading
