Hey there! Wow, I think this post's title is the longer I've ever written. And get ready for a long post too, with LOTS of ideas for stretching your Waffle Flower Crafts stamps. For today's projects, I combined stamps from the April and June release. All the sets work beautifully together! First, a card using Flower Circles and Bowtiful stamp sets. I started stamping the banner strings using the long stem in Flower Circles. I just curved the stamp on the clear block and stamped it a few times in grey. Then I went in with the stars cluster from... Continue reading

Hello friends! I hope you're not already tired of seeing tags around here because today I have a few more to share. Mama Elephant has a new challenge blog and I loved the inspiration image for this round. I was inspired by the colors -including the pops of bright pink and gold- and the overall feel of that cool boxes as a set. So a set it was :) I die cut the tags from linen cardstock using the Embellished Tag die and used XOXO to stamp and gold heat emboss the coordinating tag images (the top and the stitched... Hey everyone! I have a card to share today that uses Loved and Surface - Tag stamp sets. It shows an easy way to add a watercolor or hand drawn look to that pretty flowers. I started stamping the flowers and leaves with pigment ink on a piece of watercolor cardstock. Once everything was stamped, I scribbled lightly on the images with Inktense watercolor pencils, and went over them with a water brush. I added a bit more color in the areas where I wanted shadows. I'm terrible at shading and never know what areas should be darker, so here... Continue reading

Hello, hello!!! Can you say the title for this post goes straight to the point? Ha! I promise a more poetic one for my next post ;) I'm still having a ball playing with the June Waffle Flower Crafts release. I've made a lot of stuff. A LOT. It's hard to not write a post with at least 8 projects, because believe me, I have them :) But for today, I'm keeping it short (kinda) and sweet with a birthday card and what might be one of my favorite tags to date. The card showcases the Surface - Tag stamp... Continue reading

Hello there! I'm back with some more inspiration with the Waffle Flower Crafts June release. So many fun products! Today I'm working with Flower Circles stamp set, and specifically with alternative uses for the big polka dot circle included in this set. First, a card with lots of paper piecing. I stamped the flower from Flower Circles on white cardstock and fussy cut it. Then, I stamped the polka dot circle in assorted colors on a few scraps (this is a great way to use up those white scraps!) and, again, stamped the flower in black over the polka dot... Hello, friends! Today's post is very special! There's a new challenge in town and I got to play along with their amazing Design Team for their debut post. Meet the Waffle Flower Challenge! The first challenge will run from June 15th to July 25th. There are two cathegories you can choose from: a stamping technique or a sketch. You can also combine both of them. Check the complete details and rules here. I went for the technique, which is to stamp a pattern. That happens to be one of my favorite techniques, so I was in inky heaven while creating... Hey everyone! With father's Day quickly approaching I thought I could share a little gift packaging inspiration. Hey Mr stamp set by Waffle Flower Crafts happens to be perfect for this project! I used a small kraft bag from my stash and started by cutting a piece of patterned paper the same size as the bag front and punching two holes that matched the ones in the bag. Next, I stamped several of the solid images from Hey Mr on the patterned paper and adhered it to the bag. For the tag, I just cut and hole punched a black... Continue reading

Happy Sunday! Playing along with Taheerah's Cure for the Monday Blues challenge today. And on time! Here's the inspiration piece: What a cute room! Once again, I was inspired by a very specific detail: this time it was the flowers vase/jar on the night stand. I stamped the sentiment on the card base and on a die cut vase. Base - Vase. Haha. I've seen JJ and Laura rock this technique many times and I wanted to try it. The vase was die cut from patterned paper (Basic Grey Highline). For the leaves and flowers I used PTI's Embellished Ellegance.... Continue reading

Hey everyone! Long time no see, uh? I've had a crazy month at work, with lots of corporative stuff, but things are back to normal and I hope to catch up with projects on the blog on the next weeks :) For today, I have a little inspiration using Waffle Flower Crafts stamps, and specifically the perfectly graphic buttons from Notions stamp set. I feel like I've neglected that set a bit in my Waffle Flower projects, so you'll be seeing quite a bit of it on days to come. It's really adorable and has lots of multi-step stamping options,... Happy Sunday, friends! Today I have a video for you. A video! It's my first one and I was very, very nervous when filming it (I'm a journalist who panicks on camera. Go figure...). Anyhow, I did it. It's a video tutorial to show you how I made this rocks using Rock my World stamp set by Waffle Flower Crafts and some selective masking. I'm not posting the finished card because I'm still waiting for the perfect sentiment, which happens to be in the Waffle Flower June release, so stay tuned for that :) Sorry in advance for the poor... Hello there! Hope you're having a wonderful weekend! Today I have a card for the Hip on Handwriting challenge at the Moxie Fab World. I love the handwriting trend, but I have to confess that at first I didn't get all the craze about paint-brushed letters. The delicate, classic callygraphy fonts were so much more appealing to me. But I guess they've grown on me after seeing them popping everywhere, so there you go: I made a card with that kind of font. I started with a background stamped with Altenew's Painted Flowers, which is probably one of the most... Continue reading

Hello everyone! Welcome to Can You Felt It? - Waffle Flower Blog Hop! If you came from the wonderful Kim Kesti's blog, you are right on track! We teamed up with Benzie Design and are sharing some felt projects today! I chose to use the Secret Garden felt mix. The colors are so beautiful! And the felt is an amazing quality. You can use the code WAFFLE10... Continue reading

Good morning everyone! Are you having some crafty time this weekend? I hope so! Me? I did, and I'm bringing you proof... Two cards in store for today. Oh, and scroll down to the end of the post to see if you're the lucky winner of the gift certificate to the Waffle Flower Crafts Store that was for grabs here :) Right. One of the things I love the most in stamp sets are those tiny companion images usually included. Don't oversee those, because they are tiny gems. They open so many possibilities! Here, I worked with one of the... Continue reading

Happy Saturday! Remember I said that since I got my Waffle Flawer Crafts stamps I hadn't been able to put them down? Well, no improvements on that front, ha! Still lots of ideas on my sketch notepad. One of the things I wanted to try is a one layer card with masking. So with Taheera's Cure for The Monday Blues challenge inspiration pic as my starting point, I set to work and came up with this: I took the main colors from the pic: bright pinks, teal/turquoise, a gold strip and a white background. Look at the pretty table setting!... Continue reading

Hey everyone! Today it's my turn to share some fun things you can do with Waffle Flower Crafts stamps, and I thought it was a perfect time to show you a couple of projects for the guys in your life. I know many crafters struggle to come up with cards to fit a masculine recipient, and the Hey Mr stamp set is just perfect for this! My first card was a bit time consuming. But only a bit, and the result is super fun! I wanted to achieve the look of letters nailed to the wall. First, I started the... Continue reading

Hello! Well, it looks like Taheerah's Cure for the Monday Blues challenge has become my very own cure for the Sunday evening blues. Where did the weekend go? It really flew by! Anyhow, I loved this week's inspiration pic, so I didn't want to miss the fun. And here's what I came up with, inspired by the folk art ceramic plate on the wall. It all started with a die cut frame adhered to the card base. The flowers are from Altenew's Hennah Elements, colored with Copics and fussy cut. The sentiment is from Waffle Flower Crafts Notions. Love that... Continue reading

Hey there! Today I have a couple of Waffle Flower Crafts products to share with you. My box finally arrived and I haven't been able to put this stamps down, so watch out for lots of inspiration to come! First, a square card with an outside of the box use of the bucket filler in Hey Mr stamp set. As soon as I saw this set I knew that this shape was perfect to make a flower or leaves. I stamped it repeatedly in a circle motion, overlapping it a bit. Once I was done, I stamped a sentiment from... Continue reading

Hello there! I hope you're all having a great week so far! Today I have a cute little project for all sushi lovers: the perfect tag to gift-wrap a pair of chopsticks. Fun :) I really enjoyed making this tutorial last week, so I thought I could make another one. Here we go! First, here's what you'll need: Stamp sets (I used this and this), patterned paper scraps (I die cut my tag base with this die from a paper scrap), stamping ink, a clear block for stamping, a bit of baker's twine or the ribbon of your choice, and... She is indeed amazing!!! I'm always in awe when she works her magic with stamps. What's not to love?

Hey, happy Sunday! So last night I made a baby card inspired by this week's Cure for the Monday Blues challenge. And as I really loved the result, I prepared a little photo tutorial about the process. First, the finished card: Ok, let's get started! This is what you'll need: Assorted inks -I used pigment based inks, but dye inks will work too-, post-it roll tape, an acrylic block, a stamp set for the sentiment and an embellishment of your choice. I used wooden dots because, how cute are those? First, let's make a card from a piece of cardstock.... Continue reading

Hello! And here I am, once again living on the edge and linking on the very last minute. I made this card last week for the Moxie Fab World Styling with Stencils challenge, but until today I couldn't decide about what kind of sentiment I wanted to use. But I got some new stamps two days ago and the dilemma was solved :) I die cut my own stencil with the Cameo using this file. It's a super fun design, right? You can use all the different patterns, as I did on my card, or you can play around and... Continue reading

Happy Sunday, friends! And thank you so much for all your well wishes about this. I'm so happy! Ok, what about a card for today? I just finished it and I'm blogging on real time, people. So. Not. Me ;) Taheerah's Cure for the Monday Blues challenge was once again my starting point. Oh, and she has some fun announcements you might want to check. And here's the resulting card Hero Arts frame stamped repeatedly on a yellow card + a crazy, crazy embossed die cut frame. I cut it a couple times from cardstock with the Cameo, covered it... Well, hello! As I was typing the title for this post I was still pinching myself. It's no secret that I've been a great fan of Nina Yang's designs since she started designing stamps some time ago. So when I knew that she was starting her very own company, I was beyond ecstatic! Ecstatic for her, because a great friend was bravely following her dream. And ecstatic for me, because I was lucky enough to be a part of it. So, as I told Nina then, her dream is now my dream too :) I hope you'll give the warmest... Continue reading
