Finally we say goodbye to Kirk. I will go on record of saying the bulls did not have to give away their draft pick too, that was idiotic! I know Pax made that decision too. Look!!, Kirk made a lot of money with us, and us letting only him go would have given us more space, now why we had to give them the draft pick I dont know. We are in position though to sign two free agents and it could have been done without giving up two players. All summer, all the talk about Lebron and Calipari being a package deal? I think they meant Lebron and Bosh as a package deal. Chris Bosh was qouted on Mike and Mike on ESPN saying " I am waiting on Lebron to decide where I go, and I believe every free agent is." So get it done bulls management, no excuses!!!!! Oh yeah one more thing,Why is Luol still here again??!!??

Bulls the future of the East By. Kenyatta K. Wright June 9, 2010 Chicago, Ill---The Chicago Bulls season ends yet again in the first round. So why is it that I personally feel we are the future of the eastern conference? Well there is a lot of reasons, but let’s start with the most obvious. The Chicago Bulls have a young core, and a core that has some playoff experience. Guards like Kirk Hinrich, and Luol Deng are some of the experienced bull’s players. These were the veterans that were a part of the bull’s team that swept the Miami Heat a few years back in their first playoff series win since Michael Jordan and the bulls broke up in 1998. This is also the bulls players that were apart of several playoff battles including the Celtics, Wizards, and Miami Heat their championship year; they pushed the eventual defending champs in 2006 to six hard fought games. This bulls team has played the team with the best seed or defending champs almost every time they have clinched a playoff berth, and they not only played the very best teams in the league they also put a scare in them(Celtics in 2009) and even eliminated them(World Champion Miami Heat 2007). These playoff games or some for that matter has been without their current All Star and best player Derrick Rose. The bulls are young talented and in the process of them learning they are giving the best teams in the NBA playoff wars. I am willing to bet if you put almost half of the teams in the league or maybe more, they would also lose or maybe even fold in the type of games the bulls have been in, like the triple O/T game against the Celtics in game 6 of last year’s playoffs. I have watched the bull’s games very closely in the past years, and the conspiracy theory which I have made a constant in my post plays a factor in most bull’s games; there have been moments when I witnessed this team being cheated because they were simply the better team on that particular night. Game 5 against the Cleveland Cavaliers is a huge example of my case. You all remember that play, the play when Rose had an and 1 on Shaq, and it was ruled on the floor when the foul took place in the process of Rose rising and shooting in Shaq’s face. The bulls lost that game by two points and the Bulls were denied a three point play, a play that in my view decided the game. The point of the whole story is the bulls are the team of the future. You look at teams like the Celtics that are aging fast, and teams like Orlando who lack a real inside presence with an all around game. The bulls are the team, and it’s about time Lebron knows that, or maybe he does. According to his interview with Larry King on Larry King Live, Lebron stated “The team that I go to will be talented enough to win multiple championships, and not just because of me.” To me that sounds like the bulls, or maybe I am being bias, then again maybe not. Let’s look at the contestants: The New York Knicks ( No playoff experience, and D’antoni is a offensive Coach. ) Everybody knows defense wins championships, Miami Heat (No cap room and no expendable players to make a trade with), LA Clippers (0 playoff experience). So let’s get ready for Lebron bulls fans, it shouldn’t be an easy decision for him in my view.

Yeah, i kind of figured that. Ever since I reported to Jeremy at bulls.com the post go in slowly, and you already know why, because some guys on her make personal attacks. Or they use to, have not seen any of them since Jeremy has been regulating the site. This Wade thing is Menace, and I am glad you opened up my eyes to that and explained it to me that way. Why should Lebron or any other free agent team with Wade? He should be teaming with them. This is the same thing he did with us, instead of him coming here where he can win he wants to stay in Miami to avoid compli cations with his personal life, well I can respect that. The only problem I have with him is putting the bulls name in things because his life is rough and he can't leave Miami he throws our name in the fire. I just thought it was a coward sneaky move.I'll be reading your post big brother, take care. Kenyatta Wright

Whats up big brother? I replied to you on the last thread, but got no response to my question. I wanted to know if you think what Wade did will affect us this offseason with free agents? On Thibbs? Well I guess big brother, I opposed at first, but after the case you, Christian rances and other bloggers have made for thibbs I am willing to give him a shot. I just thought him being an assistant all this time that he would not know how to be a head coach, but if you say it will work big brother I am with you. Peace big brother, I really want your expertise on my question of Wade's actions.

You are right but the only problem I have with that is the bulls has always been known for their defense, even with Vinny learning on the job we were still pretty good defensively. He has to make the bulls a contendor and thats all he has to do. We have been number one in FG percentage allowed in the league, number one in rebounding last year in the league and all that, now he has to turn the bulls lose on teams and show the animal in them that they always have been.Ray Allen would not be a bad idea for us to pick up since we struggled to shoot the ball last year, he is a free agent and the only guy who I feel could provide us with the same shooting ability we had with Gordon.

I hear you my brother. You know I am bulls al the way, but I am just a bit nervous. Assistant and Head coach carries different responsibilities. I just dont want any learning curve, and he never coached. I am on his side and hope he does work out because like I said i hate losing in the first round and its about time we start getting as far as the eastern conference finals. Bulls fans have all gone through the process of getting bumped out the first round, hopefully this new coach can get us over that hump.

Agree with you all the way on Skiles firing being a mistake. Thibodeau seems to reflect Scotts trail according to reports and articles telling me more about him, cause I really did not know much but that he was a defensive specialists. Hopefully we can get Lebron and Bosh. All we need is Lebron because Bosh reported to ESPN that anywhere Lebron goes he will not be far behind. All we need to do is a sign and trade that does not include Taj Gibson and we are ok. Hopefully this is true about Bosh as ESPN reporters have a bad reputation of bending the truth and over exaggerating. If it is true we will win 6 more titles in the future. I am still not 100 percent sold on Thibs because like I said Assistant Coach and head Coach are two different jobs, but when you have Lebron, Rose , Noah, and Bosh anything is possible. I am praying for a NBA finals run, it’s all I care about for next eason. Sick and tired of us losing in the first and second rounds, and I sure a lot of you agree with me bull’s fans.

I strongly feel the bulls should have waited, but according to Jerry now was the right time to sign a coach. This bothers me for two simple reasons. 1) We should have gotten Lebron first and then waited to see what type of coach he wanted. I know Lebron said he does not want to pick the coach, but he had to have had some idea of who would have been a great candidate. 2) The bulls should have waited to see if Doc Rivers or Phil Jackson would have been available. They both said no but thats what they are suppose to say when they are coaching at the time you ask them, brilliant reporters! Doc is from Chicago, and Phil is likely to not get the type of money he wants from laker land, so to me they were both obtainable. The only thing I can say good about Thibodeau is that he is from the same agency as Lebron and he is a teacher, maybe the agency thing was bulls managements sales pitch to Lebron just like Sam said. The bulls get Lebron and Bosh and I dont care if my Grandmother was Coach, we could win. Hows this for an idea? Bulls big four= Rose, Noah, James, Bosh v.s. Celtics big four= Rondo, Allen, Garnett, Pierce. Not to mention the fact that we have a coach that knows their whole offense and defensive schemes as well as their strengths. Bulls-Celtics 2011 Eastern Conference Finals? Maybe not, the Celtics are too old. I was suprised they made it this far this year.

Management's goal has to be to get winners, point blank, not saying Thibodeau won't work out. The question is when will getting this Coach pay off? When the offseason ended I said the bulls needed a Coach to get them to the finals, and I doubt a rookie Coach can do that in his very first season as head Coach, like I said Head Coach and Assistant Coach are two different jobs with different levels of pressure. The learning curve is suppose to be over for us, time for us to become a great team, but management keep making decisions to preserve the bulls position. Lebron needs to come here seriously; we need great free agents to pull this off. I havn't seen Thib but I doubt he will pull a Phil Jackson in his first year, it will take time for him to become a championship head coach, time I wasn’t personally looking forward to. The bulls have to get good free agents, no question about it. I do not want us to experience another losing season, no 8th, 7th, 6th, 5th, 4th, or 3 seeds; I only want one of the top two spots and a trip to the finals. Anything other than this is a failure of a season in my view. Lebron and Bosh can get us one of those top two seeds as well as some other free agents I haven’t mentioned. We got a rookie coach, it seems it will be official, now we have to go and get the talent to make this team unstoppable regardless of the Coach. I wonder what Lebron will think of going to a team with a rookie Coach?

Bullsfan102 I’m with you, this also had me grinding my teeth. When the report got out I was praying to god that this was not true. We would have been better off keeping Vinny and let me tell you why. It’s a big difference between coaching in the assistants spot than in the head coaching spot. Sure Thib could give great ideas as a defensive minded coach, but the bull’s problem was shooting the ball so that will only be corrected by getting a shooter not a coach. Thib will have to become familiar with the bulls players and go from there to perfect his position, rather if we would have gotten an experienced coach like Avery Johnson who was in the finals and was turned down by the bulls for a second time, then we would have no issues, thibs also did not have to deal with the refs as much as Doc and assistant coaches do not have as much pressure on them as a head coach.Assistant Coaches are hardly noticed. Reinsdorf is a cheapskate man, I swear. All this rebuilding we doing and rookie coaches to lead, that’s like trying to cover up an open wound with sandpaper!!! Let’s hope the free agents don't snarl at this, we already have Dwayne’s comment to thank for the offseason, we have to resell ourselves to free agents, at least Gar had to. We turn down experienced coaches that win and hire non experienced coaches? What is Jerry scared they will work out and demand he pays them more? You get nowhere by being cheap! The old saying says you have to spend to get something in return. The last thing I will say is thank god for leaders like Noah who are vocal, this is the only reason why Vinny survived as long as he did.

No problem family, we straight like a needle..lol. Since I been on this center you have kept things straight with me, even if it was not in my favor. The thing about this center is you have to be respectful and get your point out to the level where others want to read. I have been blogging here for years now and bulls.com is a home for me away from home. I enjoy blogging and the time I have spent here has motivated me to become a sportswriter. I am very motivated and Its great to get some friends along the way. Me, you, Merciful, Chiguy and some of the regulars know I am here to support the team, to support this team all the way to the champaigne again. We all want it big brother, which brings me to Mr. Wade. First off big brother, when I give my opinions on this site I give them in the most possible way to come across as the facts. When I give my opinions I usually give them in a credible fashion. Now when Wade came in the league I really liked his style, liked his ability and the way he attacked the game. This though is not about the game, this is about arrogancy. The more I think about it big brother the more I think about choking Wade literally! He embarrassed me to make a long story short. I pulled for him to come here, and I told you guys he was true blue and he embarrased me by attacking the bulls. It was in a cowardly way and it was all because the bulls no longer was talking about him. The spotlight was no longer on him, even though after a while I kind of figured he was staying in miami anyway, he still attacked us knowing full well he was not coming here. I figured him out. He wanted the whole free agency topic to be about him coming to the bulls, he wanted us to dream before he broke our hearts. He got jealous because Lebron was the topic and not him. My problem with him is throwing the bulls name in the fire to sabotage our free agency. We worked so darn hard to get cap space and he possibly ruined it with this. Do you think he will get the free agents to not come with that meeting with the players big brother? Can he possibly convince Bosh and James to not go to Chicago? This has been bugging me all week. I want desperately for us to get back on top big brother and free agency is the thing that will allow that to happen, it is the defining moment of the bulls future.

Thanks for your reply Bryon, but you have to understand the purpose of my comment before you reply to it. No offense and thanks. The purpose of my article is to show how big of a franchise we are, and your wrong it does matter. Free agents look at the history of franchises sometimes when they choose where they want to go. The point I was trying to make is that the NBA gives so much hoopla to franchises like the Celtics and Lakers and the bulls is the one franchise that is just as big as those teams. Now that I explained it to you better now, do you understand what I was trying to say? It matters a great deal of our history if you open your mind up a bit.Oh yeah and by the way the bulls have made strides year by year and they havent necessarily struggled since Jordan left. Take a look at the growing process. 1. 2004, the bulls returned to the playoffs for the first time since 1998 championship season, and this was after starting the year 0-9. 2. 2007, the bulls defeat the World champion Miami Heat 4-0 to win their first playoff series since 1998. 3. 2009, The Chicago Bulls put on the greatest playoff series of all time against the Celtics, and in my view would have won had they not got screwed in game 5. Rondos famous fishhook on brad that was not ruled a flagrant which could have won a pivotal game 5 for the bulls. I dont know what your version of struggles are, but this year we also made the playoffs when we were not suppose to. It was a salary cap year, with coaching distractions and all and we still made a series out of it with Cleveland. The bulls have history, they are very young and they have a bright future. Nothing bad about us.

When I said that Lebron is expected to do something like what Wade did I meant the dancing antics by lebron, torchering the bulls towel boy and things of that nature then he is expected to make a comment like that not Wade. Thanks for thecomment though Coach. I do agree with you that people like me and you would jump at the opportunity to join the bulls organizaton and team. This is the reason I say Wade and Lebron are dumbfounded. Not only can the bulls take them where they need to be but they are a historic franchise. I am going to tell you whats going to happen, and your right about that when you said wade and others change when they get money, but pride is going to hurt WAde and Lebron. I know they have to be loyal, but there is a thin line with being loyal and doing what you have to do to win.

People ask me and to be more specific the Coach recently asked me why I say you are my big brother, and this is one of the many reasons why.Aside from the fact that you taught me a lot big bro about being respectful on the blog center and holding my tongue sometimes we both think alike. I was telling everyone this on espn.com and all over the place. Lebron being compared to Mike won't go away for the simple fact that he is the best in the game. Who was the best in the 90's era? Jordan, who is the best in the new millenium? Kobe and Lebron are tusseling, and Kobe as well has been compared to Jordan on many occasions. Its the territory that goes with being the best. Lebron should welcome that challenge. Him dodging that is like him saying he don't want to be the best in the game. As far as the media is concerned? Well big brother I told everyone last week that the bulls are disliked and undesired by the media. I cant put my finger on why yet, and I am still trying to figure it out, but they dont like us! Bottom line! So saying he will be in MJ's shadow is another plot of theirs to Lure Lebron away from the bulls and they would rather talk of him going to the sorry knicks than Chicago, goes to show how much we are hated. This is the same media when the bulls push the Celtics they said the bulls did it because Garnett wasnt there, then they said Wade and the Heat lost to the bulls and got swept by the bulls in 2007 because Wades shoulder was hurt, and now Wades Comments and their actions proves we are hated. I will say one last thing though big brother. The reason they don't want us to get Lebron and the reason DWAde dont want the bulls to have a succesful offseason is quite simple, they will have to respect us and they don't want that. Their worst nightmare is coming, the return of the bulls raising banners.I want you to remember one more thing big brother about us, people talk about the Celtics and the Lakers being the teams with the most titles, but the bulls have had six titles and we were never dethrowned with our entire ball club, ever!! We were never ever dethrowned. To me that makes us better than the Celtics and Lakers championship teams, no NBA team ever found an answer for our championship teams. We were never defeated.

Dwayne Wade needs to stop hating on us. The bulls is a historic franchise and they have been losing since 1998. Its time now, time for them to take their place again as one of the best teams in the league. Instead of Wade hating on the bulls he should hate on his own team and himself. He speaks about loyalty, but he tries to slander the name of the team he loved as a youngster, he obviously forgot that his heat do not have cap space, so he can want free agents all he wants but Miami cant afford them. The best they can do is a sign and trade and I doubt that miami has any pieces Cleveland or any other team wants. His team is at fault for not getting him talent, but instead of joining the bulls he takes the low road and tries to deface their name. Wow!!! Wade South beach is THAT GREAT THAT IT MAKES YOU DO FOOLISH THINGS?!!?

This was the guy I idolized since he came in the league?, this was the guy I respected so much? I do not know why. Dwade is a snake...snake...snake....snake....snake!!!!! I like the guy, or did anyway until this! Anytime you attack my childhood team then you are public enemy number one. I was furious when I heard his accusations, especially after seeing his accusations has no validity. He is a fake chicagoan, I am more Chicago at heart and I wasnt even born there. Dwade you see what bulls fans had to go through since 1998 and you want to see us lose more? The bulls stopped your heat's championship run in 2007 and you are bitter over it??!! I know thats what your problem is. The bulls was the NBA in the 90's. The bulls are the reason you became a ball player and you now try to slander their name? If you ask me you are the one with loyalty problems not the bulls! I would have expected this from Lebron but not you Wade. Very shocked and hurt by it, and their is no coming back for you. Everytime you come to the UC we ( bulls fans and the team) are going to make life hard for you little baby!!!! Be ready for it. Now you are hated in your home town, how you like that?

Big brother as I read your post right now I want you to read mines as well posted on this thread relating to this same topic. The bulls are hated, and Chicago sports is hated and the thing that disgust me most is its done by our own guys. I just heard an interview by Michael Wilbon on ESPN CHICAGO and I am no longer a fan of his. He sucks and he needs to stop hating on the bulls. He says he does not like the way Vinny was fired so he wants Lebron to go to N.Y. or he is siding more towards New Jersey getting Lebron than the bulls, then the other day before this interview he contradicted himself saying the bulls is a team where Lebron can win right now. He sucks at being a journalist, and I know I have better skills than him. HERES THE THING!!! We are hated(The Chicago Bulls) and this attemt by the KNICKS is just their way of sticking it to us for beating them all these years. I don't like Lebron, and I hated the fact that he tried to embarass the bulls, but if he can come here and make us better and help our guys get a ring I am all for it, its business, not personal. The Knicks and all the reporters and all want to keep the bulls down, keep us from once again being a dynasty. Then Wilbon says well if Lebron was that much of a hot commodity where is Cleveland? This is a fact, Lebron is gone because the parts he has in cleveland are old, soft, or they just plain stink. Picture teams trying to double Lebron with Noah, Rose, and Gibson able to get a shot with nobody on them, or even Hinrich. We would destroy teams. You cant compare one team to the other and thats why I say Wilbon's analysis sucks.Just because Lebron did bad in Cleveland doesnt necessarily mean the same case for Chicago, the pieces are different. Cant believe he would say something so stupid. I geuss KG was useless to whether he was on Minnesota or Boston, but won a ring on Boston because he was surrounded by good pieces. The bulls are enemies of the league and I cant explain why. Wilbon says Lebron would go to New Jersey for Jay-Z? well Jay-Z cant get Lebron a ring, when a journalist says something that stupid, then you know the bulls are hated, and hated by a guy in Wilbon and also Stuart Scott who are both from Chicago? Sad man.Yes we fired Vinny and thats none of Wilbons business, he did not have to deal with Vinny as a coach, he did not have to deal with Vinnys poor coaching methods, bulls fans dealt with that.the lost to NJ, the lost to the Kings when we were up 35, but if you ask them Vinny did a great job!!! We was a 7th seed last year and this year we were a 8th seed and won the same ammount of games this year as last year, we didn't improve, we got worst and he deserved to be fired, period!!! These guys don't watch the bulls 82 games in a season, they just watch us when we are on TNT and prejudge what should have been done, look!! Even I have ridiculed bulls managemant in the past, but getting rid of Gordon for cap room, firing Vinny was two good moves, I dont care what they say Vinny prepared our guys for failure. He prepared them to compete and lose. You like Vinny Wilbon? throw him a party and say bulls fans planned it...lol.Just because Wilbon hates bulls management he pulls for Lebron to ruin his career in Jersey, and says Lebron going to the bulls will not make them contenders,No Wilbon they are contenders and you already admitted it before contradicting yourself. Bulls management created cap space but will screw it up? ...lol, Wilbon has shocked me!!! Talk to you big brother.

Why would he when he has Rose and Noah? Who in Cleveland is as talented as Rose? name one player besides Lebron.
First of all dont call me dumb ok!!! I said by the comments I read on the blog it seems as if he is hated, just read the blogs!
I second that, and personally I really don't know if its true they are thinking of adding him in a sign and trade. The last time I checked we created cap space, so use the damn cap space and stop trying to give away guys that are in our plans!!! Noah, Rose and Taj should never be in any trade discussion they are the future pieces of this team. Taj is an all star, now may I remind bulls management how much of our talent they have given away in the past?
Warrick, Flip Murray, Brad Miller, Law, Pargo,Deng all these pieces to get rid of and we wanna get rid of Gibson, Chicago better not make that mistake!! Why do we always get rid of our hard workers, get rid of the lazy ones like Deng.
I keep hearing Wade say he wants to stay in Miami, then I am hearing Lebron should stay in Cleveland because he owes it to the fans, which is a great outlook, but listen up!!!! These players talk about how much they want to win but they rather lose then to go somewhere else where they can win. They don't want a ring bad enough, because if they did they would be flying not only to Chicago but any team that they can have a chance. Kevin Garnett said it best at the press conference, hes been there, and he is absolutely right. Lets not forget KG had to give up on Minnesota to win a ring in Boston, just a thought.
Sorry but Cleveland fans can start crying right now, Lebron is gone. Let me tell you why too. First of all the Cavaliers have to reconstruct that team, because that team can't win anymore. They are a regular season team, they win 60 games every season and can't win a ring. Second of all Lebron can't win in that system anymore, Boston not only beat the Cavs, they exposed them. They are a one man team, and once you take Lebron's pieces out the game and allow him to play one on five then you can beat them. Even if he is able to get his teammates the ball, they can't knock down shots, every team in the league are going to play the Cavs that way, unless they get another big name free agent and they have no Cap space to do that. If Lebron stays hes a fool, trust me. I know he likes Cleveland but he needs to go to a system and a team with other guys that can create their own offense. Guys like Noah, Rose, and even Gibson. These guys can have a huge affect on a game, especially Rose. So its up to Lebron, he either plays for Chicago and share the load with Derrick, or he continues with the Cavs and when they lose even if he plays well he still gets the blame, lets not forget he had a triple double in that last game and he still got blamed. Give me a break, the guy got the ball to his team they were the ones that couldn't knock down shots. Lebron needs a supporting cast, he cant do it all by himself. Cleveland is older and Chicago is younger with more talent, need I say more? Sometimes in life you have to give up something to get something. In this case if Lebron really cares about winning, he will have to give up his hometown for a ring. You cant have your cake and eat it too, he has to make a sacrifice to win and Chicago is the team.
