Tough night. I do have to say that seeing how close these guys are to each other & their coach is such a testament to Doc. He is the one constant that's been there through it all. He may not have the rings and accolades that some of the other NBA coaches have, but he certainly is one of the great ones in my eyes.
Your Morning Dump... Where Doc doesn't want to let go
Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here... highlighting the big storyline. Because there's nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump. "I don't know," said coach Doc Rivers. "Obviously, we're all smart... I think we're going to wait and see what happens with fr...
So proud of this squad. Not enough room here to express it. I more so want to thank all the devoted readers of RedsArmy for your support, comments, feedback and everything else you do. Thanks folks.
Recap: Celtics get Bosh'd in Game 7
Props to Chris Bosh. It was the Boshtrich (19 points, 8-10 FG, 3-4 3 FG, 8 rebounds) who led the Heat to a 101-88 victory over the Celtics tonight. Not the punky Dwyane Wade who padded his stat sheet in the 4th quarter, or the phony LeBron James. I have no desire to write a detailed recap of...
Yeah...saw that BS too.

Agreed. Bass did well last night on the boards too, but he & Pietrus both have struggled mightily in the postseason.
Recap: The grittiest and ballsiest win yet
Three reasons the Celtics won this game: Grit and balls. Balls and grit. Grit and balls. What did I tell you all before the game via Twitter? Joey Crawford is the only ref with the balls to take on LeBron Wade and Dwyane Wade. And Joey delivered with the 6th whistle on James. Now excuse me whi...
Pietrus saved the game w/those offensive rebounds. Totally makes-up for all the dumb fouls, missed shots. It's odd because he's known for his shooting but has been contributing more-so on the boards. Quis' D on Wade in the closing minute was great too. And how's about The Reverend aka Keyonce? But obviously Rondo is the reason we won this game. His offensive explosion and masterful control of the pace enabled the C's to build that big lead, and got us over the top, w/the help of Ticket of course, after Paul fouled-out. 2-2 baby.

Windhorst is a straight clown. That guy shouldn't even being covering the Heat. Just a straight CLOWN.
Miami media are not fans of the Garden
This series has me flashing back to the mid 80s and I love it. First, the Heat staff complained about the temperature in the Garden for Friday's shootaround. Now, we are getting complaints about the quality of the floor. Somewhere Red Auerbach is smiling.

Marquis Daniels the unsung hero. As Pietrus was a non-factor again, someone needed to provide some spark off the bench and Quis was that guy. Can't express how good it is to see him contribute after all he's been through. I also love how Ray has continued to rebound. 5 more for him tonight and a few big ones during Miami's 4th quarter run. Big props to all the fans at the Garden tonight. I was worried that folks would be discouraged after the OT loss, but not so. That building was freaking electric from tip-off til the end. Hope to be back there on Sunday to do it again.
Recap: Rondo saves Celtics from epic collapse
There are two guarantees with the Celtics. They'll play tough and gritty. And nothing ever comes easy. We witnessed both in tonight's 101-91 victory in Game 3. Rajon Rondo scored 8 of his 21 points in the 4th quarter as the Heat slowly whittled away a 24-point deficit. Knowing the Heat are goin...

Perfect headline. Doc has said that the "offensive lapses" have been the C's biggest issue all year. We simply aren't going to get away with 12, 24 or 36 mins of decent bball against Miami. Bass took too long to get going, as did Rajon. He had some flashes of offensive aggression, but there were times when he kicked the ball out instead of driving. And someone from that bench has to chip-in. Pietrus got his 1st point (a free-throw) near the end of the 3rd and only took 1 FG all game. That won't cut it. The defense looked solid for the 1st half, but again, have to play 48 mins. The Heat dropped 26 on us in the 3rd as our D disappeared. This game was definitely winnable. I know everyone will say "what about the bad calls?", but they do not justify scoring 11 pts in 1 quarter and 15 in another. I'm more frustrated at the fact that this was a game the C's could've stolen if they'd executed. Oh well-have to adjust, and look to play better in Game 2. A wasted 23 & 10 for KG tonight. Man he played well. And I know Ray missed the most FT's since 2006, but you cannot deny that his defense (yes-defense), hustle and rebounding were on-point tonight. The guy's working hard and making an effort despite being in pain.
Recap: 12 good minutes won't cut it vs Miami
Fueled by a 35-point outburst in the 2nd quarter, the Celtics had us all believing at halftime that a Game 1 victory was possible. But faith quickly dissolved into disgust as the Celtics offense collapsed returned to form in the 2nd half. The end result: a 93-79 Heat victory. Rajon Rondo (16 p...
My pleasure-glad you enjoy them. Not sure if you saw the GIF John posted of KG last night. Nothing beats that look. Pure evil: http://www.redsarmy.com/.a/6a01156f2c3287970c0168ebd40866970c-popup

Crowd collectively sh*t itself when Paul fouled-out. He was getting pounded all night and got 0 calls from those 3 bum-ass refs. I looked to my companion and said: "Either KG, Rondo or Ray steps-up or we're screwed." Just amazing to be in that building tonight when Rondo took-over. He just blew the roof off that place. Even though the stat sheet won't say it, Pietrus' energy tonight was important as hell. But 7 bench points ain't gonna cut it. Someone will need to step-up against the Heat. We live on to play another series!!! Ubuntu.
Recap: Rajon Rondo takes over down the stretch, Celtics advance
It looked like a killer moment for the Celtics. Paul Pierce had committed his 6th foul with 4:16 left in a 3 point game. The tide appeared to be turning. This was truly a game changing moment. Except... It changed the game in the Celtics favor.... because Rajon Rondo went absolutely effing ...
Thanks sir.
"One Last Shot"

I'm with you. White t-shirts are straight lame. They're cheaper to make-period. And those little hand towels suck too. Green shirts are the b*lls. I hope to see them on Saturday night.
Cold, hard facts: The reality of where the Celtics stand right now
So we're all still a little upset over last night. I get that. It was probably the worst playoff game we've ever watched. The score at halftime was worse than some Div. 3 games. And today, we're all saying a lot of things that we may or may not regret. With that in mind, here are a few of t...
*3-10 on the road
Recap: Game 6 was an epic fail
I've been watching the Celtics for some 30 years and tonight may have been one of the worst performances I've witnessed. The Sixers played mediocre basketball and beat the Celtics, 82-75. The Celtics were... abominable, alarming, appalling, atrocious, deplorable, depressing, dire, disgusting, ...
I can only speak for myself, but I'm not surprised they lost. The Big 3 is now I believe 3-10 in close-outs. I think folks are more surprised by the manor in which they lost. They were vastly outplayed by an inferior team-mentally and talent wise.

The loss, the stats, all troubling. But by far the most troubling to me was the overall attitude and body language of this squad tonight. I literally did not recognize any of them but for their uniforms and faces. I will stay behind this team and support them, but nights like this make it tough to do so.

I hate to use the word "should" but we should be able to beat Philly w/out Bradley. It's best to rest him now, as if we make the ECF, we will really need him either way. Indy and Miami obviously both have athletic perimeter players. I truly appreciate Bradley's guts and effort all year-he's a tough kid that has played through alot of pain, and never complained. Not one bit. Get well soon kid.
Bradley probably won't play, Ray probably will
I probably could have written this post before the last game, but here goes: Bradley traveled with the team, but appeared dejected at this morning's shootaround, and he did not participate. He wouldn't commit to playing in a Game 7 or a potential next series. "I don't think I'll be able to play...
