Sports are a pretty big part of my life, and I love everything about Bill Russell. But I don't think there's any need to erect statues of athletes. I think these guys get enough shine with the Hall of Fame, retired jerseys, tv specials etc.
There's got to be a better way to spend the money, the government's time, and use the space.
