Woohoo!!!!! Next best thing to the Celts winning....seeing the Heat lose...on their home court. Yeah, that Mavs celebration was less than expected. The game did end on a weird note, almost like a time out with 18 seconds left and a 10 point lead. Kinda put a funny spin on the end of the game.

If KG did retire, does his $21 million come off the books for the Celts? Would that give us that much extra to spend on new players? I realize the new CBA will impact this, but, as of now, how does that play out? One of the things that I've been wondering about, as in "what will Danny do?" in this off season, is will Danny trade one of the big 4 to position the team to win next year. It would suck if KG gets traded to some other team, possibly some scrub team out in the boonies, to help us win next year. I would rather see him retire on his own than have that scenario happen. This financial shit gets so complicated, not something I really want to invest much thought time to, I'm a fan of hoops, not a fan of accounting.

I could see KG being valuable to a bunch of teams. Especially OKC, get KG's defensive mindset installed into a younger team, teamed with Perk, perk would play better, and the whole team would get to benefit from playing a season in the KG defensive mind-set. And next season his would be an expiring contract as well. Only Celts that I would not consider trading would be Rondo and Pierce. Although any trade for the core players will be painful...will suck, no doubt.

I'm gonna root for Dallas...would love to see Dirk get a ring, he is class and deserves one.

Oh...this is painful, even though I pretty much expected them to not get out alive in this series down 3 to 1...but to see them fold in crunch time is excruciating. I can't take rooting for such an old team any more. I am ready for the rebuild to start. Which brings up a question...is Doc the best coach for a rebuild? When he says he might be coming back..does that mean he wants to make another run with the Celts as currently constituted? I hope not. This team could very well put together a decent regular season record, but they will be toast at the end of the season, and will have an early exit. Not what celtic fans want to see at all. We want championships.

KG no post game tonight. After it had worked so friggin well last game. How does that happen? Only way I see it, only one to blame, is KG himself. Can't see why he would choose to abandon that post strategy after seeing how well it worked. I just don't understand....

Regarding Rondo's dislocated elbow....I had a chronic dislocation of my shoulder back in high school. I know a bit about this injury. When you suffer an injury like this, immobilization is the key, especially for the first time it happens. On the initial dislocation, when the ball pops out of the socket, the ligaments that hold the joint tight get stretched out. If immobilized for 6 weeks or so, the joint will often tighten right back up and be good as new. If not immobilized, the chances of re-dislocating the joint are greater than the initial dislocation because the joint's ligaments are stretched, leaving a slightly looser joint that will pop out easier. With each successive dislocation, the joint will be easier to re-dislocate, eventually popping out with just the slightest knocks on it. So, the possibility of this getting to be a problem, especially at the level of physical stress that happens in an NBA playoff game, are not encouraging. I'm wondering if the Celtic medical staff will be able to outfit him with some kind of brace, akin to the one Manu Ginobli wore recently. I hope they figure some way of providing support to that elbow, on its own it could become a problem.

The one Celt I want to become MORE selfish is KG. He is so un-selfish when it comes to offense...even when he is hitting from 20 one after another after another, etc. he seems to look to pass it to one of his team-mates. I want to see KG abuse that funny looking guy Bosh. Only if he is hot, of course. Man, can this series have any more friggin drama?

Shaq would be fantastic, but I'm feeling pretty good about how JO has been playing since he came back. He's gotta be playing through some rust, and I wouldn't be surprised to see an arc of continued improvement in his game with each game played. I really dig the game-face JO has, too, dude looks like he means business. Damn, really loved that foul he layed on LBJ in that last game we played them....He might be in LBJ's head already. But, yeah, Shaq would be so friggin excellent to have now too.

Agreed....quite suspicious reviewing this foul. Would not be surprised the douche Pat Riley had something to do with it. In my opinion...Rondo's push was about as soft a push that could be made.

Yeah, I mentioned Kemba just off the top of my head (I'm not even sure he is a point or a 2), but just the idea of going after a Rondo replacement through the draft, I keep hearing about all these great guards in college lately.

There is a draft approaching soon...does Danny work out a trade with somebody picking near the top and go after someone like Kemba Walker or the like?
