Are they paying you for travel time? Not milage, but offering compensation for the time you have to travel to get to the training. If not, you have a claim. I suggest you contact HR.

Misunderstanding or not, it's about perception. This stranger that we only know from here - granted you get to know people pretty well here - says "let's have an online party with prizes. I'll collect the money through my paypal and you mark it as a "gift"" For me that equals a HUGE red flag. The OP seems like a very nice person and I am sure she is...but there are a lot of ppl out there that seem like nice people online. This is not the place to solicit money for *any* reason. This is not a charity or retail business. Unfortunately there are many scammers out there who do this exact thing...there is too much liability for ZQ in allowing any activity of this sort...so we need to be mindful of that. THe OP may be upstanding and honest, but who's to say the next person will be? To the OP - your intentions were great! Thank you for being so generous with your time and creativity...I'm sure whatever online party format you move forward with will be wonderful!

:) I love the optimism! And dont get me wrong...good things came out of that trip. We met BSB, were in one of their music videos, and make some long-lasting friendships. Many of the girls I am still friends with long after we have (almost) all left the BSB behind. A couple are holding on for dear life, but they actually have a reason to ;) But what happened with the ones whom we didnt keep in touch with created a huge amount of stress and bitterness in the group. They disappeared off the radar long ago (THANK GOD!) but it was enough to make me cautious. And please - whatever you do - DONT be the one who brings your boyfriend on the trip and then leave him with everyone else to deal with when you go off and sleep with a roadie! That's all I am saying about THAT! ;)

Interesting question...not sure I rember why...I've had him for 11 years now. I had a chinchilla named Gus that I got rid of shortly before I got the cat, and I recall liking the name, so maybe that's why... :)
