I believe on the Chuckster!
Mo Williams: Elbow was 'most definitely' a cheap shot
Cleveland Cavaliers guard Mo Williams said the elbow he took to the face from Anthony Johnson was "most definitely" a cheap shot. Williams was injured in the first half when Johnson's elbow hit the Cavs point guard under his left eye. Williams was assessed a foul on the play and Johnson was call...
Refs Suck...you are allowed to play defense on everyone who's name is not LeBron. I understand superstars getting their calls but I believe we've got one of those too. Dwight gets hacked and pushed all night long but that seems to be alright. LeBron gets a little nudge (or gets blocked cleanly from behind) and that's considered a foul. Calls need to go both ways. Also, I am sick and tired of these people saying there is no conspiracy against the Magic. I'll believe it when the refs officiate properly. But it would be terrible to lose all that money if we didn't get a Cavs-Lakers Final.

Cav fans are here because they are running scared. As Barkley has said, we match up real well with the Cavs. That folks is the honest truth.Cav fans you know it too. So just start hiding under your baby blankets and suck that thumb while you rock back and forth in the fetal position! While the 2 games Orlando won against the Cavs this past season don't mean a thing now, history does repeat itself.
Live from Cleveland: Cavs' country preparing for Orlando's arrival
CLEVELAND – Greetings from the cradle of Ohio, Magic fans. Well, maybe not the cradle, but it is the center of the basketball universe as far as Cavaliers fans are concerned. After a long rest following their playoff yawnfest so far with sweeps of Detroit and Atlanta, Cleveland is starving to g...
I love the Magic being the underdog for this playoff run. As underdogs, we can play without a whole lot of expectations from the media. The Magic will play loose with plenty of energy and determination. After all, what do they have to lose?
To all the Celtic fans: suck it up. YOU LOST. See ya next year. Stop all your hate. Be a good sport and just lick your wounds. One of the best shots after Game 7 was of Ray Allen talking to Rashard Lewis. I don't know what was said but as classy as Ray Allen is, I'm sure he was telling Rashard to beat the Cavs' butts next.
Cavs fans: DO NOT expect an easy series. You have not played a team that has a dominant shot blocker and presence in the middle. Dwight changes things defensively quite a bit. I know, I know, some of these bloggers (including so-called "Magic fans")have basically said we don't have answers for LeBron, Williams, or West (West?--was that for real?) but defense is a team effort. So long as the Magic play well together defensively, they have a great chance of beating the Cavs and any team representing the Western Conference in the Finals.
This should be a fun series to watch. Let's go Magic!
It's about time the national media show Magic some respect
Take that Drew Sharp. Take that Chris Broussard. Take that Shaq. Take that Bob Ryan. Take that Jim Rome. Take that Tony Kornheiser. And take that me (well, sort of). Because I didn’t believe that the Magic could take a road win in Game 7 at Boston. But unlike the pezzonovantes in the mainstrea...
Patrick can predict the outcome all he wants. The truth is, the players determine the outcome. The Magic is the better team physically. Mentally...well that's another story. If they don't self-destruct when Boston makes a run (see Game 6), we will see them at home on Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
Boston has been very fortunate to "steal" Games 4 and 5. Magic needs to "punish" the Celtics in their home court and in front of their fans. As the Good Book says..."thou shalt not steal". LOL
Magic's Ewing guarantees Magic win over Boston in Game 7 (with audio)
Magic assistant Patrick Ewing wasn’t scared of making predictions when he was playing and he’s not scared of making them now that he’s on the sidelines. Speaking with ESPN Radio 980 in Washington, Ewing guaranteed a victory for Orlando in Game 7 on Sunday. “It’s a whole team. Everyone has...
I too am a little curious why Reddick is starting instead of Lee. Before Lee was hurt he was starting these games. Is his psyche really that fragile that he would be afraid of contact? I haven't seen that since he's been back. He still takes it to the hole and seems to defend just as well.
As far as the matchup with Reddick and House, Reddick needs to close out on House faster so he doesn't get his shot off. House will not be as effective with a hand on his face. SVG cannot be too concerned with Reddick's confidence. His job is to win basketball games not to be Reddick's shrink.
Sorry to see that Hedo is not the same player as last year. Many have expressed their frustrations with him taking too much time holding the ball then throwing up bricks. Hedo is a great guy but we need to have a better player with the ball in the 4th quarter.
Rashard may be that man. Lewis needs to take better advantage with his match up against Davis or Scalabrine in the 4th. He can't be afraid to make contact and just make the move to the basket. Force the refs to make the calls. He and Dwight needs to stop making Davis look like an All-Star and play better defense.
Dwight cannot allow a punk like Perkins to push him around in the paint. You can't tell me he can't move Perkins around. Dwight has tremendous strength and needs to utilize it wisely.
I like our chances of winning game 7 even though it is in Boston. Be tough Magic men.
As a team they need to not fall in love with the 3 ball when it starts stalling. The ball needs to move around and they need to get higher percentage shots. Also, they have had wonderful success when they run the ball and not allowing the Celtics to get their half court defense set.
Van Gundy taking huge risk by starting Redick
I guess no one knows his team like a coach does, but I am extremely wary of SVG’s decision to stick with J.J. Redick as his starting shooting guard in Game 7. I know J.J. has made some contributions that are hard to quantify on the stat sheet (chiefly defense and ball movement) but his shooting...
Whether you agree with the dad or not, attacking the kid's weight and calling him names only shows how immature some of you people are. GROW UP!
Big Baby shoves Magic fan
(courtesy of Ernest Provetti) Update on babyshovegate... The Orlando Magic fan demanding an apology from Glen "Big Baby" Davis says he reacted emotionally and will back off. Ernest Provetti was standing beside his 12-year-old son Nicholas, sitting courtside, when the boy caught the ba...
