Maybe as a young kid you weren't, but as an older kid you were athletic, strong, and coordinated enough to play hockey. :P
You just keep on trying, until you run out of cake.
Yesterday, I wrote: Well, the power just went out, so it's time for me to pack up my Mac and head out to a cafe with WiFi where I can work on my novel in front of people and get this posted. The weird thing is, while it's likely going to take an hour at least from the time I finish writing this...
My wife Anne asked him how he had the courage to do that, and David told her, "Because nobody told me I couldn't."
I've heard that from Joe Straczynski, and I think everyone else that ever did something vastly cool. It is a universal truth...
this is the introduction to memories of the future
Memories of the Future should have been released already, but it was significantly delayed when I did a whole bunch of the "acting" part of the "Writer/Actor" multiclassing I've been doing for the last few levels. However, I took a giant leap toward release (wow, that sounds dirty) about 40 minu...
Well that was pretty.
See, you title an entry like that, and my first thought is, "What did Wil do to piss off Vic Mackey?"
just another day
The Sun reached out from 93 million miles away, pushed against the curtains in my bedroom until it found a small gap, and poked though it. As it moved across the sky, it crept silently down the wall behind me, then deliberately down the headboard until it landed on my forehead. Once there, it to...
Reloaded provided setups that weren't paid off in Revolutions, which instead provided a ridiculous and logically inconsistent ending.
It was insulting to the audience's intelligence, and they deserve all the wisecracks they get. See also: The Sopranos, "Made In America".
in which we combine wil wheaton, books, and beer. (mmmm ... beer.)
Last year, I went to the Stone Brewing World Bistro and Gardens for an event they call Book and a Beer. It's pretty much what it sounds like: I read from my book while people drank beer. Then I signed my books while I drank beer. Then I ate dinner and had some more beer. Then we drove around loo...
30 minutes from downtown to Escondido for a 6pm start? Only for a very skilled but still crazed motorcyclist. Allot 60-75 minutes, traffic in several spots will conspire against you.
(You might find an express bus that'll get you to the Escondido Transit Center to catch a local over to Stone's neighborhood, but returning downtown will be an Odyssey.)
11th Avenue north, runs into
CA-163 north, runs into
I-15 north
Exit Valley Parkway, turn left (southwest)
Right on Auto Park Way (first light after interchange)
Left on Citricado Parkway (if you reach the railroad tracks, you went too far)
Stone's on your right.

Coming this fall from Dimension Films...

more than meets the eye
Yesterday, I went to the dentist, and while I was waiting, I picked up a copy of Highlights (because that's what you do when you're at the dentist, whether you're 6 or 36.) I went directly to the hidden pictures page, confirmed that, yes, children are still circling the hidden pictures and they ...
And how do you get to Starbase 420? Aboard the USS Sativa?
As you can imagine, the success of this mission is especially important to everyone on Starbase 420.
Well, the most creatively demanding part is over. About an hour ago, I finished the first round of de-blogging, cutting and rewriting on Memories of the Future. The next step is to take all the individual reviews (which are in their own files) and combine them into one big document so I can see ...
We had a few applause moments in my 10pm Thursday IMAX showing in San Diego.
The biggest was at the very end of the credits, the dedication to Gene and Majel.
If all reboots were done this well, we geeks would never worry about reboots.
Between work and meetings, I'll be AFK for most of today, but this is important enough to warrant its own quick entry until I can write something more in-depth later today: I went with Chris Hardwick and his girlfriend to see Star Trek last night. Speaking both as a member of the Star Trek famil...
