When the new Stampin' Up! catalogue was first available to view online for demos, I not so patiently waited for it to download so I could virtually flip through every last page. There were so many amazing stamp sets and accessories that it was hard to decide what to order first, but I knew the minute I saw Dandelion Wishes it was a must have. I fell in love with the combination of whimsical images and fabulous fonts. So the minute I received my order it was the first set to see ink. This week's Global Design Project is a... One of the great things about paper crafting is the amazing online community of people sharing their work, whether it be through blogs, facebook, instagram etc. there are so many inspiring projects out there. This also means I see many items that I may have over looked the first several times I flipped through the new Stampin' Up! Catalogue; such as the Serene Garden Stamp set and coordinating Framelits. It became a must have after seeing so many beautiful samples online. This one in particular by the talented Jen Timko made me push the order button, lol. It is also the... Continue reading

Of course we still have the 2017-2019 In Colours as well. I wanted to create a card with all 5 colours and love how they can be used to minic a rainbow. This card was super easy create and I love how bright and cheery it turned out. I cut a piece of Thick Whisper with to 3 1/4 x 5 inches the attached 1 x 3 3/4 inch strips of... Continue reading

Thank you notes are something that I can never have too many on hand, especially this time of year. I was excited to see the theme challenge this week for Global Design Project is "Just a Note to Say..." and even more excited when I realized I could actually get a card done before the challenge deadline. Soft Suede Mint Macaron Cajun Craze Crumb Cake Whisper White There are only a few more days until the new Annual Stampin' Up! Catalogue launches on June 1st and one of my "must have" items would have to be the Nature's Poem Suite... Continue reading

I don't know about you, but I can never have too many birthday cards on hand. I also seem to have a tendency of hoarding pretty patterned papers, so in my effort to use what I have before I dive into my new preorder goodies (as I have mentioned before, one of the biggest perks of being a demonstrator is getting new products before they are released to customers) I have made some quick, fun and easy birthday cards. The Picture perfect 6x6 Designer Series papers has photographic imagery of everything that a good party needs: balloons, hats, donuts etc.... Continue reading

Welcome back to the Fancy Friday Blog Hop! We are a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators that have been or are currently on the Artisan Design Team. We love sharing our passion for creating with all of you and hope to inspire along the way. This month's challenge is to choose one of the amazing projects seen on the pages of the Occasions Mini catalogue and CASE (otherwise know as Copy And Selectively Edit) it! The card I chose to draw inspiration from is on page 24 of the catalogue. One of the perks of being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator... Continue reading

We love sharing our passion for creating with all of you and hope to inspire along the way. This month's challenge is to use one of the fabulous Designer Series Paper from the Occasion Mini Catalog. There are so many beautiful papers to choose from, but in the end I went with the gorgeous Sweet Soiree DSP. How could one go wrong with silver foil, stunning floral prints and vibrant colours?! I ended... Continue reading

"A piece of paper folded in half...", that is what a card is, right?! As soon as I saw the stamp set Birthday wit I knew I had to immediately have it. You see, believe it or not my husband doesn't really see the point of cards. GASP, I know how can anyone not see the value of a kind note of thanks or a happy birthday wish? Now don't get me wrong I know he does appreciate it when he receives one and has been know to give me a few sarcastic and funny cards over the past 20+... Continue reading

I can't believe we are already more then half way through January! Too be honest 2018 has not had a great start for our family, but I am trying to focus on the good. Back in December I signed up for a card swap that was arranged by the lovely Alison Solven. We created a card that focused on products from the Occasions Catalogue and another card with products from the Saleabration catalogue. This is the card I made using paper and stamps from the Picture Perfect Party Suite of products. Now I am not one for mass creating, so... Continue reading

I had such a great time being a display stamper for OnStage Vancouver in November of last year and again in April when I attended the one in Calgary. It was fun to work with new products and challenge myself creatively. So, I decided to apply once again for the upcoming OnStage event in Las Vegas in April. To apply you have to submit photos of 3 cards, a scrapbook page and 2 3D projects. I tried to create and choose a variety of project styles and colours:) This scrapbook page just makes me smile. At my son's high school... Continue reading

Welcome back to another Fancy Friday Blog Hop! We are a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators that have been or are currently on the Artisan Design Team. Stampin' Up! has done it again! Just when I thought they couldn't possibly top the Online Extravaganza Sale, they decided to do another day of FREE SHIPPING, and they still have the Year End Sales Event going on too! So there are a lot of deals to be had. I still had the Half Full stamp set sitting on my desk and several of the same supplies so I decided to make another card but this time a super quick and easy card. I started with a Crumb Cake card base, then added the gorgeous striped DSP that has a... Continue reading

Here I am posting another non-Christmas card, lol. Procrastination at it's finest as usual. But I think you all will agree this card most certainly would be appropriate for this festive season. Also this stamp set also has perfect sentiments for Christmas as well, so at some point soon I am sure I will make a few Christmas cards;) When I decided to use this stamp set I knew immediately that I wanted to use the Wood Textures DSP with it. I just love that paper stack, it has several differrent wood and woodgrain designs. The base of the card... Continue reading

The Floral Statements stamp set has such beautiful images with sentiments built in, and are perfect for some basic colouring using the Stampin' Blends markers. I know I should be making Christmas cards, but I am a huge procrastinator and this year time of year I find I am needing several thank you cards so I couldn't resist inking up this gorgeous image. The roses were coloured using both shades of the Daffodil Delight Blends. I started with the lighest colour then added the darker to build depth into the image. I did the same with the leaves using the... Continue reading

Sometimes there are days when I think "really, this can't be happening, right?". I know you know what I am talking about. You wake up early and as you drag yourself out of bed you manage to stub you toe on the corner of the bed frame, then while trying hard not to scream out loud every expletive that runs through your head, you get to the bathroom to wash your face and brush your teeth only to knock the tooth paste cap off the sink counter into the toilet. Yup, I have had more days start like that or... Continue reading

Okay so I am the first person to admit I am not to savvy when it comes to social media, especially Snap Chat. Actually I didn't even have Snap Chat until last week when I had 5 hours at the airport to wait around and I thought it might be fun to download the app and try and figure it out. Ummm well that turned into a phone call to my 18 year old daughter, lol with me asking her to walk me through it! I am sure to the people around me in the airport it was quite comical.... Today I am super excited to share with you that I am now part of the Fancy Friday Blog Hop! (insert squeal here). For those of you that may not be familiar with Fancy Friday it is a blog hop made up of past or current Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team members. To say that this hop is full of amazingly creative geniuses would be an understatement and I was in shock and humbled when Cindy Schuster asked if I would like to join. So welcome to this month's hop and hope you enjoy all of the inspiration along the... Continue reading

I have just return from Stampin' Up's OnStage Live Event in Salt lake City and to say my heart is full would be an understatement! I got to spend time with some of my favourite people and meet many new friends that I know will be life long. The theme of this years convention was Live It. Love It. Share It. and I can say with all certainty that that is what I intend to do! One of the best things about Stampin' Up! for me has been the lasting friendships that I have made over the years and one... Continue reading

Today is the day that Stampin' Up! has released their new alcohol markers! As I demonstrator I got early access to ordering them (just one of the many perks) and had a chance to play around with them while attending a creative retreat a couple of weeks ago. It had been several months since my supplies have seen any use, but I think I have finally gotten my creative mojo back and I can't wait to share some up coming projects with you:) I love that I was able to create two different cards with the same supplies. I stamped... Continue reading
