You rock Cathy, I am a huge supporter of celebrating where you are in life - happy, happy birthday!
45
It's my birthday. It will be my birthday for the next 24 hours. I am 45 years old today. I am of the belief that sitting and suffering in silence on your birthday, hoping people will remember, maybe call, or send you a card or even an e-mail, is a complete and utter waste of time. I believe yo...
Is that Rockwell? I love that font. I was just browsing and saw "Mount Si"....are you in Snoqualmie? If so, we are neighbors! We just moved to Snoqualmie Ridge about five months ago.
december daily | day ten
Day 10...we're in the double digits. Woo hoo! We have our first round of holiday guests arriving on Tuesday, so I'm really hoping to get caught up over the weekend. Fingers crossed... Our teenager is the manager for the boys' Varsity basketball team at school, so Corey and I took Miss Lauryn t...
this made me smile big time. we're moving to a new house here in a couple weeks and I was just thinking about making smores in our new backyard. I don't think there's anything better - and using the Christmas tree? Seriously brilliant!
Smores. Step-by-step.
First, you need to get yourself a Christmas tree. Preferably, one that has been drying out in your back yard since January. Don't worry if the neighbors think it's an eyesore. It's a Zielske family tradition! Next, you need fire. Hey Scarecrow, how's about a little fire? Then, once the k...
My camera goes with me some of the time. It would probably be more if I had a larger, more user-friendly camera bag....hint hint...

I seriously, seriously love this layout. Clean and simple. I am a white-space-aphobe and desperately need to do more layouts like this.
A blissful shopping experience, a $5 off coupon for you, and a hybrid layout share and process
Last week I posed a simple question to you, my readers, regarding tea. The response was utterly amazing—the most non-giveaway comments I've ever received. Many of you tipped me off to Adagio Teas, and today, I'm here to report on what I found. The bottom line? My shopping experience—from my i...
totally. I am happy and sad that I'm done. This is the first time that I've done this kind of a project and I am hooooooooked!
{December Daily 2009: Days 18, 19, 20}
Yea! I'm catching up and getting closer to finishing the December Daily Project. My goal is to have all of the pages completed by New Year's Eve, so that I can start on new projects in January (i.e. one little word, project 365:2010). Day Eighteen This was probably the first day of the month...
they are all beautiful but day 18 is brilliant! I love it!

December Daily 2009: Day 17
As the days draw nearer to Christmas, my schedule is becoming more hectic and busy, but I'm making progress with completing the DD pages. Today's page is about the decorating the centerpiece on the dining room table. Last year, the table decorations didn't quite flow together as I would have l...
I should be sleeping...but your blog is super fun. Okay I've never lived anywhere but the Seattle area, I've never finished college, I've never seen a ghost (but desperately want to) and I've never been to europe. yup.
Ne dis jamais jamais
(Me, circa 1986, Grapevine, Texas) The other morning, while unloading the dishwasher, I had a very strange and deliberate realization: I've never been a bridesmaid. At this stage of my life, most of my friends are married, and the few that are not probably won't be asking me to browse the lates...
I really love this - the photograph is just wonderful!
December daily :: day 15
The supplies are really simple on this one: white paint from making memories, leaf stamp by stampendous, hand drawn holiday brushes, Ali Edwards for Designer Digitals, sequins and cardstock. I'm getting to that crunch time in the month where I'll get too busy to play around with materials on ...
Fun! I want to be the winner because my scrap space is impossibly small and I need all the tools I can get my hands on to make my space functional!

{December Daily 2009: Day Four}
I didn't take that many of pictures on Day 4, but I did take some photos of this typewriter. The typewriter works; I think it needs a new typewriter ribbon. It is currently residing in Marc's office. Though I know that Marc wishes that his Grandmother was still alive, I also know that he appreci...
I thrive on digital scrapbooking. Well, hybrid scrapbooking. I like to add real life elements on there like ribbon, brads, etc. But when it comes to resizing, desaturating, adding borders, adding text, nothing and I mean nothing beats doing it digitally.
