More Mallory statements: "Sure, I think I used the computer to search things at the Anthony house" "I might have done a search on neck breaking for a crime novel I am writing." "I think I have seen dead squirrels climbing under the hood of Lee's car, I think." "I can't remember Cindy ever yelling at CMA or Lee, I think, maybe, not sure."

I find the Anthony's as revolting as the rest of you...but...my best friend's daughter was murdered, and it made her crazy for a long time. It has been 11 years, and she still 'loses it' on the anniversary date. Cindy was already emotionally unstable, which is why her and George spawned such a mess as Casey Anthony. This murder sent them over the edge, in my opinion. I read through Cindy's depo from start to finish, and I am glad that I have a little bit of compassion for them again (because I don't really like harboring all this hatred for them), although they have done NOTHING to deserve any compassion from anyone...they have still suffered an unthinkable loss. They loved Caylee - that was pretty obvious. Cindy is a fighter, but she took on a battle she will never win. And, when it comes right down to it, she is pretty much responsible for the whole mess they are in...and has to live with that for the rest of her pathetic life. Look what she has done to destroy George's life, what her son now faces forever, and of course, what Casey did to poor little Caylee. Cindy deserves to be called crazy, and I think that is exactly what she is. Now she is desperate to save her daughter's life, because SHE could not save her grandaughter's life. I would truly hate to be in her shoes. What I don't understand is this: Why doesn't someone in her life muzzle her, just hide her and George away somewhere. Her doctor? Increase her meds, already, or commit her. She is self destructing, and taking innocent people down with her. And apparantly, she is unable to comprehend this, and just too damned mean for anyone to handle. Rabid, in fact. Where are the men in the white coats?

Kudos to the news stations who took a stand against the White House boycott on Fox News. I guess they finally realized that their underwear were showing, and it would be better if they did not present themselves fully nude. Chicago politics might work in Chicago, but once you are representing all the people, it is a different story - a different battle. I think Obama and his ilk were pretty sure they had the whole nation behind them with his superstar status, but the United States is not filled with political morons...we are an intelligent people who still have some backbone, and a shred of decency and morality still runs through the greater population, sans the two coasts. Enough is enough. Czars be gone. Lets get back to the great capitalist democracy that is our greatest strength. Bye bye Obama. Pelosi be gone.

There is only one victim of this crime - Caylee Marie Anthony. Cindy and George WANT to be victimized, in my opinion. It gives her something to whine about, and George really eats it up. But when Cindy thrust herself into the spotlight from day one, she created her own nightmare, and she opened herself up to be hated by the millions of DECENT people who have followed this tragedy. I hate to say it, but I think Casey is probably less dangerous than Cindy. She IS a rabid animal, and should be locked up or put down! I have had moments of sympathy for her, but Cindy doesn't want sympathy unless it comes with a payout. George - well, I thought George might have had some moral fiber, but apparantly the rabid animal keeps HIM on a short leash, and he is not man enough to do the right thing. I think George has always been lazy and sort of a leech off Cindy's paycheck, but now this has gone way too far. They belong together. What is the biggest outrage? That these two - Mrs Narcistic and Mr. No Nuts have not been charged with their crimes. I am thinking that the prosecution must have a good reason for not charging them, but that is what is the most outragious to me. They are law breakers and their only "cruise" should be between their cells and the community shower once a day.

I'm OK with this going on the air. So be it. The defense is claiming she has been tried in the court of public opinion, and I am afraid some quack appeals judge might agree and throw out her conviction...after all, this has received more media coverage than anything else this year, perhaps. But what has been covered in the news has been mostly FACTUAL. Then the defense, the Anthonys and their cohorts spew LIES all over the media. So how can they say that the jury pool has only seen the incriminating evidence against Casey, but did not see all the defense propaganda? So, let them spew their lies all they want. In the end, the truth will prevail. And the more level the playing field, the more likely a conviction will stick. And the same goes as far as the money is concerned. It helps the prosecution that these low-lifes are profiting off the death of a beautiful child...now, once she has the conviction and has been sentenced, the gloves come off. I say George and Cindy need to answer for THEIR CRIMES.

Yea, and I would like someone to back a truckload of money up to my front porch and unload, please. Brother.

Mike Rogers, I have been thinking along the same line...they are going to try to throw a number of people under the bus, actually. To create reasonable doubt, they will show how Cindy could have done it, how Jesse could have done it, how George, or Lee, or Mallory, or Tony or Roy Kronk could have done it. That, in my opinion, will be the direction they will take. When they can show the jury that others also had an opportunity & motive to commit this murder, and 'frame' Casey, they will be able to create SOME doubt. I, personally, think that is a long shot, but about all they have to go with. But I think there is much more evidence to come that will seal Casey's fate. Still wonder, however, about Kronk. He seems to be from the same cut of cloth as the whole Haliegh Cummings gang - so I am not convinced he just happened upon her. I think there is much more to that story that has not been made public yet...I hope so, anyway. Is there any connection between Dom and Kronk? I want to know the truth.

Cindy is spiteful, and she wanted Casey to "suffer" for embarrassing her with her pregnancy and fatherless child. She harrassed Casey every time she stepped out the door without Caylee. She was/is ruthless and heartless, and determined to "show" Casey who was boss. I would not be a bit surprised if it came out at some point that Cindy was involved in the whole thing from the moment after Caylee died (however she died) coaching Casey on the stories, the lies, the disposing of the car at AMSCOT, the whole set up about the abduction in the park, etc. Or maybe not the moment she died, but the minute Casey told her what happened. (The July 3 MySpace posting implies some knowledge of Caylee's demise) And that it was Cindy who told "Dom" where to look, because she KNEW where Caylee was. I only hope LE can get to the bottom of all of that someday, and justice is served.

Here is what I find hard to believe...there are those who are still supporting Cindy and George, feeling sorry for them, etc. Conway is working for "free" - whatever. These people - no, make that Cindy - is purely vicious. She has a black heart, and demented mind and a forked tongue. Conway, in his press conference, said something to the affect that Cindy is just a bereaved Grandmother holding on to any hope. I say Cindy is a psychopath (like her daughter) who is a danger to society. And, true to that form, she believes she is above the law, craftier than the officials, and completely justified in her actions…and she lives in “Cindy-World.” I do hope she is held accountable for what she has done.

OK, so Jon is being shot (like a model) with his shirt unbuttoned enough to give the slightest hint of chest hair, and what is his backdrop? Bikini babes. I am laughing my butt off!! It is so funny (or sad) what greed and fame will do to people. I loved that show when it first came out, because the babies were so precious. But it has lived it's life - now they need to take all their fortunes and begin the process of intensive counseling for their children who will certainly be unable to "cope" in any sort of "real" life. Jon, shame on you. Kate, double shame on you. Stop pimping your kids, already. Babies don't know any difference, but little children DO, and you are about out of time as far as "the most impressionable years" are concerned. OMG - that is hilarious! Cindy and Casey are equally narcissistic, and believe that their celebrity is something to be cherished and admired. Sick, sick, sick. What is next? Never has any conservative media outlet or spokesperson spewed anything nearly as vile as what comes from the liberal left - just go the Daily Kos for a good example. I think that after OJ (older black male version of CMA) flaunted that he got away with murder, it will be much more difficult to get the "reasonable doubt" from a jury. It worked for OJ, and he wrote a book...Casey was pretty sure she could sell autographs! (I really feel sorry for that whole bunch - nut cases, all of them!) I think that the prosecution's closing statement should address common sense - just put the puzzle pieces together, and even if a few pieces are missing, you still know what the picture looks like. Lyon may get her off death row, but it is certainly going to take more than Baez and his team to avoid a conviction.

OK, Hal, I told you I would admit it if I was wrong. This speech was very well written and seems pretty harmless and even inspiring. Now, with that said, I don't like him, I don't like the people he surrounds himself with, I don't like Pelosi, Reid, Dodd, Kennedy (RIP), and that list just goes on and on. His speech writers did a good job, and the speech was focused on education, and I did not see anything that suggested a political message.

Hal, will you make a comment AFTER the President speaks on Tuesday, and if/when he delivers more than "the importance of staying in school and working hard"? OK, Hal, as a general rule I love your column... Now, speaking of "indoctrination" you might remember Hitler and also take a look at radical Islam, even today. Children are taught that Jews are swine, and Christians are infidels. They sing songs about the pigs and the infidels. This is not so out there. Children's minds are very malleable, and I, personally, think that parents should be teaching them to think for themselves by looking at and considering all the facts. But who is giving them all the facts? Our schools claim to want to help children think for themselves, and then they give them what is the "right" and the "wrong" facts to consider. When my son was in 5th grade, his teacher explained the difference between Democrats and Republicans this way: Democrats care about everyone and want to help take care of people, and Republicans only care about money, big business and taking care of themselves. Luckily, my children and I communicated every day, and I was able to 'balance' some of the rhetoric being spewed in the public schools. Obama has already 'indoctrinated' the poor, uneducated, and young adults lacking worldly wisdom, and now he wants to get inside the minds of our young children. I say grab your children and run the other direction. My God, I will be glad when the citizens of this country finally see what a big mistake they have made - hopefully before too much more damage is done. Seems the 'saviour' ain't quite got the miracle working powers so many were hoping for...you know, that "change" thing that got him elected. Sigh. Does anyone know how this might affect where she will be housed if she is convicted of the check fraud charges? If she is given more than time already served, will they move her to another facility to serve this sentence while awaiting her next trial? That could be a real inconvenience for the defense team to have to work with her in a federal prison somewhere. HAL'S NOTE: First, she wouldn't go to a federal prison because this is a state case. If she were sentenced to state prison, the defense could argue to keep her in the county jail so they could have access to her and so the state doesn't have to pay to transport her back and forth for hearings.

Ted Kennedy should have retired a long long time ago...sorry to his family for his loss, glad for the country we no longer have him to contend with in Washington...but, the Obama puppeteers are sure going to miss him. Oh well. He was a disgrace to Catholicism, for sure.

Yes, it is time to end it. Divorce is tragic, especially for children, and these kids have had enough invasion into their personal lives. They have lived with cameras in their face since their births, and now they have the poparazzi stalking them...it is time to teach them how normal people live normal lives. TLC is shameless, as we have seen before when they exploit the morbidly obese, people with birth defects and strange diseases, and of course, "little people" and all their challenges. Hal, you might have meant Cindy was deposed for nearly four HOURS instead of years, but having watched her taped interviews, it probably FELT like YEARS to the ones taking her depositions! yes, Hal, it could be that healthcare doesn't grip a lot of people. It does grip me, though, and I still didn't watch him. Why?
