I am so excited to share this tutorial with you today! I was playing with Mod Podge and an idea I had the other week and decided to take pictures of the process. So, since it turned out really cute, I put together a little tutorial for ya :) First, Have you ever heard of Dimensional Magic? It's ...

Inspirational Mixed-Media Collage
This piece had been stirring around in my mind for some time... It all started with my recent peeked interest with mixed-media collage. I have been reading and inspired by the book, Taking Flight by author an artist, Kelly Rae Roberts and have been having a blast playing around with collage whil...
Hi Michelle!
Make sure you don't overload the surface with DM or it will spill over the edge/es. I usually start by "outlining" the edges then filling in the middle until it's level. Also, make sure you keep it undisturbed on a level surface until dry!

Hi Penny,
I used velum paper to print the Bible verse on. I sprayed it with fixative after I printed it to keep the ink from running. Hope this helps! Xo

DIY Pet Barrier
Guess what I did on Halloween night while trick-or-treaters came to the door? I was up and down, like a yo-yo from my sewing machine to the front door to hand out candy...we live on a main street through our very large neighborhood, over a mile, maybe two miles long. So we probably had 200 to 30...
Hi Kristina!
Well, Chico has not even tried to jump over them or knock them down...at least yet! If he leaned on them with his paws, maybe it would knock it down? Not sure since at least the ones we have in our regular size doorways are pretty secure. It also depends on how much tension you allow. I have mine pretty tight. The problem we are having though is that he now keeps getting on the family room couch and the couch in our bedroom! UGH!! I'm trying to find a solution for that now. I keep telling my kids I can build him a really cool doghouse...outside! But that has not gone over too well...still in a pradicament with Mr. Chico!
Blessings xo,
Debbie

Thanks Kathy! Oh how I wish I knew how to reupholser something like a couch...I've only reupholsered chairs and foot stools. That's one of the things on my to-do list...maybe one day!
I had this tutorial on one of my Pinterest boards. See what you think...

Mod Podge Monday: Monogrammed Antiqued Photo Canvas
Many times Plaid asks me to design projects such as frames or, in this case, a photo on canvas. They only require that I use the specific Plaid product they designate, and then I'm free to be as creative as I want, Yea! And I love to use family photos whenever possible. This time, I used a pict...

Hi Jenny!
We are in San Antonio now and walked by the river in downtown San Antonio last night. Amazing! We woke up to the local church bells playing "A Mighty Fortress is Our God" this morning...thought I was in heaven!!!! Wow!! I'm on foot today while Hernando is in meetings. I plan on walking over to several art studio/galleries I found nearby. Thanks for telling me about Salado, maybe we can work it in, sounds like a fun!
I hope all is well, give my love to the kids!
Mod Podge Monday: Vintage Pumpkin Decor
Last month I designed several pumpkin projects for Plaid. And since I just had to incorperate vintage themed pumpkins I pulled out one of my old books and grabbed my bottle of Mod Podge. With a few additional embellishments, wholla! just the look I was going for. You can get my complete inst...

Hi!
Well, lets see, if you use them you would have them on hand...for this project, since we do use them, i simply emptied the matches into a zip-lock bag (and threw in an old smaller box to be able to strike the matches). Lol, yes, we are still using those matches out of that bag!
Or, you might be able to find them at a thrift store somewhere...
I hope you can get your hands on a few since this project really turned out quite cute!, if I should say so myself :)
Blessings xo,
Debbie
