Eli at one week old Eli James A month old now. Owner of my heart. Sweetest sleepy boy cooing in his sleep. Baby's breath, tiniest toes, little hands holding on to me in the night. Dreamiest daydreamer. He knows my voice. He's hushed in my arms. We are safe together and all is well in the world. Life forever changed. I love him so, my sweet tiny boy. Continue reading

We recently celebrated Graylyn's 2nd birthday at our home with my family. My sweet baby turning another year older was a tad bittersweet. She will always be my sweetest girl and while I'm so very thankful God has given her a love-filled two years of life, I wouldn't mind if it all slowed down a bit. I cherish every single day being her "Mah-eee" (Mommy) and love her with every bit of my being. We celebrated allllllll day. We opened gifts, took a break to go outside and blow bubbles (her favorite part of the day) where she blew some... Continue reading

Our June was made up of many sweet memories. Our daughter's second birthday, evenings running through the backyard sprinkler, splashing in her little pool, playing in her new water table for her birthday, and all things summer. I actually made trips to Michaels to gather supplies for crafts I'd pinned on Pinterest, made a (few) batches from my mom's delicious homemade fudge recipe, and spent a lot of time together outside with my little family. Our daughter's personality continues to GROW WILD (in the most wonderful way) and she keeps us on our toes. My pregnant belly continues to grow... Continue reading

My number one go-to clothing rack for my daughter's wardrobe has always been BABY GAP. Like, I keep them in business and I admit I may actually have a bit of a problem. Online 40% off is a dangerous late night habit of mine. So, when we found out this baby I'm currently pregnant with is a BOY I, though a bit nervous about finding cute items I'd love for a boy, went straight to BABY GAP. I have added many of their sweetest baby boy items to his closet and can't wait to fit them on his little newborn... Continue reading

On Valentines Day I opened the card from my husband and under the sweet message he wrote he also added, "You're going to Blogshop!! Well, from home!" I was super excited and a little nervous. He had already scheduled two days off work so he could stay home with our daughter so I would have little distractions. I sat at my desk taking notes and watching each video with a sigh of relief for the way I was able to easily follow and the way Bri and Angela were able to simplify each section. They definitely have a way of... Continue reading

I have loved polaroid film since I was a little girl. My first camera was a polaroid. A pink and gray one. I took many pictures of our dachshund, of my sister, of my bff's. It was different than it feels even now. Pulling the trigger in my adult age has been almost magical. Before the film was discontinued and I was carefree about each photograph I took, I (thankfully) documented everything I loved. Statues, flowers, my nieces, the ocean. I spent my hour long lunch breaks at my last job in my twenties walking through a neighborhood nearby filled... Continue reading

These are some of my favorite beauty products I use daily. I've been back and forth from Clinque and Lancome for years and lately have been using the Clinique products more than anything else. That "even better concealer" is the best concealer I've discovered so far! I went to the salon for a new hairstyle over the weekend and I purchased Davines sea salt spray after my hair dresser used it and transformed my usually flat hair. It actually works without leaving a sticky or greasy look or feel. I couldn't recommend it more! (And it smells so good!) For... Continue reading

My to-do list is a mile long. Unload the dishwasher. Clean the downstairs bathroom. Pick up allllll the toys strewn all over the house. (all.over.) Organize all the crafts, papers, books. Finish checking off everything needed on the grocery list. Take packages to be mailed. Shower. But instead, my sweet girl and I spent the afternoon doing this.... making sweet memories. Even before finding out we were having a little BOY I began two inspiration boards on Pinterest. I labeled them: IF YOU'RE OUR GIRL and IF YOU'RE OUR BOY I constantly added to each as I searched or came across items, patterns, or designs I loved for either a boy or a girl. As soon as we found out BOY I really delved into the job of creating a space for him. Because we won't be in our current home forever, I chose to transform one of our bedrooms into a room that would serve more than one purpose. We... Continue reading

We had an equally lovely and busy weekend. My husband has been non stop for a week tending to changes around the house we're making. Painting the baby's bedroom, hanging on the wall everything I point to, cleaning up, cleaning out, grocery shopping, cooking Easter dinner. I truly couldn't ask for a better husband. We had a wonderful Easter together and loved experiencing the excitement of Easter egg hunts again through the sweet spirit of our Graylyn. She L O V E D it. Watching her carry her little bunny basket around filling it with eggs was too fun. It... Continue reading

Target's Threshold Wood & Brass Finish Bar Cart Oh the things you can find on clearance at Target! I had debated in the past about whether or not to add this bar cart to my home but always ended up passing on it.... until yesterday! I noticed the red clearance sticker on top and when I saw the price I knew it was coming home with me! The cart is regular $129.99 but it's clearance tag was $64.98! So with the discount using my Target card the total was $65.43! Now, what to do with it??? We aren't drinkers so... Continue reading

It's 5:00AM and my mind is wide awake. I've been trying not to think of this for weeks. This weekend that starts tomorrow. This weekend that I'll spend so many hours away from my baby. Tomorrow she'll be 21 months old. This post will sound so dramatic and maybe devastating and the truth is - to me, it is. My husband and I have a seminar that we've been planning to attend for weeks. While I very much want to go and enjoy this time together with him I'm terrified to leave my daughter in the care of, I'm sure,... Continue reading

After we took the Christmas decorations down this year I was anxious to get started with spring decor (and Valentines, and Easter, etc). The days and weeks after Christmas have always been a bit dreary for me. No more Christmas lights. No more beautifully wrapped presents waiting to be opened. The trees are so bare and the wind still stings. But this year was different. We've had a lot to be thankful for (as always) and this year I made a conscience effort to stay.... happy... through all the changes listed above. It's worked as I've bought some greenery, fresh...
