Her name was CAYLEE. Not "this child" Not "IT" I am absolutely floored that George and Cindy can say these things about the granddaughter that they so loved. You should be so ashamed of yourselves for this and there is a special place in hell for you. The blessing in this is that you won't be seeing Caylee ever again when you finally leave this world.
And Lisa, if you have a daughter I hope she doesn't grow up to be as judgemental as you appear to be from your posting. I did make that decision to NOT breastfeed in public not because of a poor body image but because I did not feel comfortable doing so. I fed my children (and yes one of them is a girl) at home or in the comfort of a QUIET and soothing environment. Not the middle of a fast food restraunt during the busiest part of the day. FL law or not...it is a PERSONAL choice of every woman so get off my back for posting MY opinion. Vanessa, 2 "old men" would be very uncomfortable seeing a woman nurturing her child. They grew up in a different time and they don't get the concept of it all. And perhaps they did not feel they should have to look the other way as they had as much right to be there as your friend.
I am a mother of 2 who were breastfed..although not in a public restraunt and certainly not without being covered...too modest I suppose. The restraunt manager asked the mother to cover herself more than likely because there were other patrons who might want to enjoy the meal they paid for without seeing a womans breast while doing so. Just as nursing moms have every right to breastfeed in public, they also should consider the rights of others in the restraunt.
