Alright, sissy. It's on! Let's make that future Father-in-law of yours PROUD! Well. Your man, too. 'Cause there is NOTHING better than cooking for your the one you love with every fiber of your being and him loving every morsel. :) For serious. Ok, so...before we get too far ahead of ourselves with recipes and what not, there are two items I'd like you to purchase if you can: this book and this book (if you haven't already). Once you get them we can get started. There are a few more basic things you're going to need to get started... Continue reading

But I do like this man: Mmmm hmmm, I do. He's handsome. He's smart. He can cook. He's kind (seriously!) He has a cool accent. Hell's Kitchen is my favoritist show. He raises his own food and teaches his children ethical methods for getting that food. Plus, um. He's Gordon Ramsay! Lately I've been wanting to find out as much about him as I can. I've looked into his cookbooks, looked into his cookware, his knives, and his biography. Right now, he's just my most recent obsession. Continue reading

Ooohhh I like reading what everyones' days are like. :) Good RAK idea. Ok, so here's me: first, let's assume that I haven't worked the night before...if that's the case I wake up about 7:00 or so in the morning, make breakfast for the little man, get him and myself dressed, and drop him off at kindergarten. If I have to work that night (I'm an L&D nurse that works nights) then I come home, and go to bed. I'll usually wake up around 3-4 to get up, take a shower, play with the fam a bit and then head off to work around 5:45-6:00. Boring, huh? lol

Now that Bradley is in all-day kindergarten, Dave or I drop him off in the morning. This leaves no more mornings at Grandma's house. :( I'm pretty sure they're both bummed about it as the mornings that he stayed there gave them some quality time together. When I'd get off of work in the morning and go pick him up, he would either be building on the floor with Grandma using tinker toys or lincoln logs or playing army men on the dining room table. It's so cool to see the two of them interacting the way they do. On... Continue reading

Having a BLAST in Nags Head. (Those bumps on my feet, by the way? Yea, bug bites from several months ago. Sigh.) We're hitting the beach pretty much every morning. I even managed to don a bathing suit and swim out myself. Crazy, huh? The kids are having so much fun and are making sand castles, searching for shells and treasures and swimming out into the surf. Hurricane Bill hasn't stopped us from having the times of our lives. Game nights, delicious dinners, and fun in the sun. Can't beat a beach vacation. Picture heavy post... Continue reading
