Well smells of bovine. He's just upset USF got waxed again and is trying to belittle the accomplishments of a program that is built on a solid foundation, not one that collapses on itslef every year.
No UCF bowl invitation expected today
The waiting game continues for the Knights. UCF has locked one of Conference USA's six bowl bids with an 8-4 record, but the Knights still don't know their bowl destination. A Conference USA official told the Orlando Sentinel the league office did not plan on announcing any bowl invitations duri...
Speaking of awful fan support, I'm watching a half empty Sun Dome as USF takes on Virginia. UCF gets 9000 fans for a game against UMASS. Put UCF in a BCS conference and I think the sky's the limit. Too bad we didn't have the facilities we now have and a Basketball team has passed USF when the Big East expanded.

Count me in for mediocrity with an 8-4 season and possible bowl win. UCF has built their program the right way. In this fast food society, I'm willing to lay a strong foundation (vs. the quick fix, K-State model USF follows) for success.
Look at TCU and Cinci. They will go undefeated and still not be in the national championship game. Only the well established BCS conferences (i.e. not the Big East) can compete for national championships so winning lower level bowls is all we can aspire to anyway.

Simple. USF loaded up on JUCOs, transfers, and a few borderline academic cases. That works in the short run but can't be sustained. It will be interesting to see how recovering from abysmal APRs will affect future recruiting.
The other Big East schools have built their programs the right way. Cincinnati and Connecticut are the models of what up and coming programs should be, not the K-State model USF followed.
Margin of Bulls' Big East losses highest ever
The bigger challenge is figuring out precisely why, but USF's last five Big East losses show the Bulls are getting farther away from their competition after building a reputation for close losses in their first three seasons in the conference. From 2005 to midway through the 2008 season, the Bul...
I love how USF likes to talk down CUSA. The Big East is the peasant class of the BCS. If one of their storied teams (Pitt,WVU) are not at the top of the standings they are no better than the MWC. Just look at the polls this week as TCU jumped Cinci. The same thing would happen if Rutgers/USF were in Cinci's position. They have no tradition and are looked as just slightly better than MWC/CUSA teams.
Listen to UCF Coach George O'Leary's postgame press conference, including his response to news leaking that Brett Hodges would not start at Texas
It was a colorful UCF postgame interview following the Knights' 35-3 loss at No. 2 Texas. UCF Coach George O'Leary attempted to kick Bright House Sports Network reporter David Baumann out of the postgame interviews because of a radio report he made Friday night. Baumann was filling in for Jerry ...
UCF Grad, can you read? The contract has not been signed. I say talk to Michael and have him help broker a deal with Nike.
Shoegate Update: A few more details about the dispute over Marcus Jordan's decision to wear his father's iconic Air Jordans at an adidas school
UPDATED AT 1:53 P.M. I have received numerous questions about the latest information on Shoegate, UCF freshman Marcus Jordan's decision to wear Nike Air Jordans his father, Michael Jordan, made famous while playing for at a school that has an exclusive agreement with adidas. Here are the latest ...
What is going on with Brandon Davis. He was highly recruited out of high school but can't seem to see the field. Is it pass protection/blitz pickup abilities? Also, is Emery Allen going to redshirt?
It's time to submit questions for our weekly UCF football chat
It's almost time for our weekly live UCF football chat. To participate, send your questions to ilimon@orlandosentinel.com, post them in the comments section of the blog or Tweet them to @osknights. If you can be here at 1 p.m. Thursday, I'll answer the questions live on Knights Notepad. I will a...
eddie, I believe Rush wants the policies of the President to fail. Rush did the same thing when Bill Clinton was in office. I don't think it's racially motivated, more like liberal policy motivated.
Is there is Rush to Judgment?
I understand that Rush Limbaugh has a loyal following of millions and he is an influential voice among conservatives. But one question for people who are upset that he is getting flak from the media and others because of his failed effort to buy a stake in the St. Louis Rams: If Rush can say he ...
This is why recruiting rankings should be calculated in the fall not in the spring. Now that USF has been forced to care about APR rankings, recruiting is a little difficult. I see how the meteoric rise may have been accomplished.
Four USF freshmen held out awaiting NCAA OK
USF has already had seven players from its recruiting class not make it to campus because of academic issues, and four more freshmen -- defensive ends Ryne Giddins and Julius Forte, tight end Isaac Virgin and running back Bradley Battles -- were held out of Monday's practice as they await final ...
