As far as Polite goes the guy is an absolute beast. I can't think of a fullback in the league I would rather have blocking for my backs and picking up blitzes. Oh ya he's also not to shabby running with the ball. His hit on Bart Scott in the first game is still on my highlight reel for this season.

Without question Jake deserves it. He's givcin up a total of 3 sacks this season. They came in the first couple games and stand out so some uninformed fans still have those couple plays stuck in their minds. He's only been flagged what 2 times all season. Vernon Grades out just a little better than Jake this season. I would love to see him get in and Jake groves stats have been outstanding (before he was hurt) and deserves to make it as well. If you don't believe me look for yourselves. http://www.profootballfocus.com/by_position.php?tab=by_position

Jaws is a clown. His comments and his critique of Henne Monday night for the most part were way off base. Even on the first series when Henne checked down to a safer pass Jaws blasted him for not taking his shot down the field. Now with the camera footage of the game its hard for us at home to see who was or was not open but the bottom line is if Henne didn't feel comfortable throwing that pass then checking down and getting a first down is really not a bad throw.

Let me start out by saying I Love this Kid. He's my Favorite Dolphin since Danny boy. But if you look at his stats for this year or even for his career he doesn't get better as the game goes on. Here is a breakdown for his carries for this year.. Attempts:........ATT....Yrds...Avg 1-Through-10:....40......261...6.5 11-Through-20:...28......95....3.4 21-Through-30:...4.......13....3.2 Ricky on the other hand DOES continue to get "Better" as the game goes on and always has. Attempts:........ATT....Yrds...Avg 1-Through-10:....35......168....4.8 11-Through-20:...15......80.....5.3 Anyway there you go =)

You're not a dork for suggesting the Dolphins bench Gibril Wilson. He's played poorly (to say the least) and deserves to ride the pine. That doesn't mean you're not a dork though.. J/K PS. Jimmy Jam, Jarvis Williams and Louis Oliver are still my all time Favorite Dolphins Safety Combo. Man could they Hit....

souljahbeats, I don't really agree with you on Hillard for one simple reason. None of our running backs looked good in that game. The running game as a whole looked bad. He had the one fumble but he doesn't seem fumble prone. At least not in games. Not sure if he puts the ball on the carpet during practice though.

burger13, You're 100% correct that the current CBA was extended in 2006. At the time of the signing it was also scheduled to run through the 2012 season. The only reason its set to expire sooner is because the owners "opted out'. So my best guess would be its more of a standard clause in contracts by agents or at the very least standard by Browns agent. Other than that good question =)

Gopats, You can absolutely own less that one percent. but that's not even the real question nor does it clear up how much they invested. Ross has been selectively going after celebrity's for a reason. If it was simply a matter of selling of pieces of the team for shear market value he wouldn't be selectively seeking out celebrity's. Anyway my original post ws directed at Armando so here's hoping he can clear this up lol =)

Gopats, Once agin you're using the same numbers Cuban threw out "dolphindad, how they come to you and invest 10,20,30 million " 10 20 or 30 million is Not a number its a guess. If it was a real number it would simply be the dollar amount they invested. If you have seen the actual numbers and are not simply trying to pin the tail on the donkey can you please post the link.

Gopats, What they earn wasn't my question. While guesses and theories are fun to think about I'm more interested in hard core numbers. Well let me take one step backwards. The only reason that question even came about was someone in this blog told me Dan or Don couldn't afford to buy a piece of the team.

"first you have to have plenty of money to invest 10 mill min to 20 0r 30 each" I'll admit I haven't been paying attention to most of the articles when he brings in new "Partners". But are your numbers correct? and if so what do they get in return? Also can you provide a link to an article that contains these numbers?

Cuban, No sir I'm no farmer lol, I'm not sure where that even came from perhaps just a bad translation. Now back to the question Ross has been bringing Celebrity s aboard and from what I am understanding he's doing this to help enhance the teams image and make it more celebrity friendly. It's also my understanding and I would love to see the numbers (what percentage of the team they get and how much they paid). But from what I have been hearing hes been bringing them in for their name and what they can bring to the organization mainly because of who they are and not what they are willing to pay. Its pretty obvious hes being very selective on who he brings in. So back to my question. Do you have an answer that's not sarcastic and that has some substance?

Armando, How come Ross is bringing in all these "Celebs" most of us could care less and have no history with the Phins. For peets sake when one of the reporters asked the sisters what their favorite Dolphin experience was they couldn't even name the team the Dolphins were playing... Why not bring in folks that fans would care about and at the same time show some true loyalty to the teams history by bringing in people like Say Shula or Marino?
