I agree that you are BCS but what are you going to tell recruits when a BE champ goes undefeated and can't get into a national championship game? Same thing they tell the MWC champ who will be in front of you? Sorry, you don't have the tradition of the power conferences and never will. Just like the upper non-AQ conferences.

bull_nole. UCF has beaten Alabama and NC State. USF has one of the lowest APRs in the country. Nick Saban even alluded to it a few years ago when you guys got Jamal Taylor enrolled when he had no shot in getting into Alabama. UCF has taken the high road in terms of STUDENT athletes. Taking numerous "hardship" transfers and academic risks worked well for USF. Let's see going forward (now that you were forced to create an academic admissions committee for athletes) how well you fare. UCF has made the commitment in terms of facilities. We are in a major TV market and would give the BE teams a chance to visit Florida every year. We've been inconsistent but that happens to all non-BCS schools (who don't load up on transfers and academic risks).

If you followed UCF football in our Division II or I-AA days you would know who Samford is. They are no Wofford or Charleston Southern but should be familiar with those who have followed UCF for any length of time.

You are right RightWingLacks. They had lax academic admission requirements for many years. Now that they are BCS (and had such a poor APR), they upgraded admission standards (see the 7 of 28 signees not being admitted). Oh well, shame on UCF for putting emphasis on the student in student-athlete.

No Big East teams in the top 25. The MWC should get their automatic BCS bid.
