In order to be vulnerable, to stay connected, one must feel that a level of trust has been achieved. Trust is built up over time with word and deed. In fact, without trust there will be no communication, and no intimacy. A partner with power and control issues will often dismiss out of hand the thoughts and ideas of the other, just because they rebel against "being influenced". You have to trust that you will be heard, and that what you say will not be disparaged. I agree with Phillip. It does take courage to put yourself out there. Great article, Abrielle! A face is handy, but most recognize their soulmate by a feeling that they have always known one another.They usually dream them before they meet them in person.

I love these stories! I have a lot of my own, but one of my favorites is the time I was standing with a group of people and a very saucy crow brushed my head with its wings and began to dance and strut just for me. The other people elbowed each other and totally noticed it had singled me out. After I thanked it for the message, I went home and frantically called my older relatives. My dad has been ill for some time, and when he answered, I was relieved. His wife then asked me if the obituary she had just read was referring to my very saucy friend, who had indeed, just died. I truly felt this was his goodbye to me.

Hi amor: Although it is Nunu who usually writes about the tarot cards, my dream inspired me to cover this one. The storm was approaching, but I worried about my father, who is ill. The Queen of Swords can be considered a magician in the sense that she is of such strong and fierce will that she gets things done, no matter what. Her determination is a force to be reckoned with. Sea Turtle: Well said. I've always been one to learn from my own experiences. I have issues. My guides told me that I don't need to use the tarot and I told them "You are not the boss of ME" Maybe I'll work some more on that ;)

A very talented cartoonist made me a tarot deck, and the five of wands was my favorite! It lends itself to lots of POWS! and KABOOMS! I agree with your assessment of both cards. I use them in slightly different, though similar ways.

Medium's the one for me. I read where the actress couldn't bring herself to show the confidence in the visions that the original psychic did. Psychics know that you absolutely have to trust your guides, even if the vision doesn't make sense at the time.

Thank you for this, Corrine. Sometimes the things we know, we need to be reminded of. I found the shower cleansing before my early shift was helpful. I still do it again in the afternoon before errands or appearances, but the ritual and intent of cleansing is very important.

You did way better than I my first time. Yes, it was a manual transmission, but it was in the city. Freaked me out.

I like to think I am an honest person. I certainly try to be. Some thoughts, though,I would just like to keep for myself. I don't know how to meet that particular challenge that you and your husband have. I would think a little mystery would be good.

Abrielle: This advice is very helpful, as I believe that you establish a neural pathway, or bridge between the conscious and subconscious minds when you bring information from one state (sleeping)to another (waking). I believe this facilitates regular daytime access to the subconscious mind, which knows all there is to know. Thank you for this!
