Hi Julia, Sorry about the typo, I meant your voice (not vice) but after seeing yesterday's show it was back to normal. Wasps still not gone (I can't use a glass and piece of paper with wasps as you did with the spider) so i will call the local pest controller firm to resolve. Jay

Hi Julia, I prefer birds coming down the chimney than the wasps that came down our's. We were getting five or six daily in the house,they seemed everywhere not much fun and very scary. Then we relised they were coming down the chimney. DH lit a fire last night so hopefully that will fix the problem. Hope your vice is back to normal. Jay Jay

Fabulous cake,looks too good to eat. When clearing our shed we found a dead rat,scary, don't know how long it had been there. Hope you didn't get stung after finding the wasp nest. If you got the queen then you will get less of of the stripey blighters around this summer

Hi Alison, Good to see you are back,looks as if you had a great holiday and weather better than here. I had a trip to Edinburgh to visit the fringe and the weather was really good, last year it rained the whole time.Regarding your problem with flies and wasps,I've been stung three times this year,(I hate wasps) I don't like using insecticides indoors so I find hair spray very useful for downing the wasps or as you say a rolled-up newspaper.Keep up the excellent presentations. Julia,I thought that the Taxco show was brilliant, the rings were fab, very original and reasonably priced.

Julia, Watch out for wasps at car boot sales at the moment,loads about. I've now been stung three times this year.At home I don't like using sprays so its back to the reliable rolled newspaper, does QVC sell anything for controlling these pesks.
