HS, ke meral mesulang for correcting me. Yes, it is a mix up. And yes, let's invest in solar energy since the design at the Hospital is awesome. It serves two purpose being a parking lot cover and of course, the solar energy. We have so much sunshine and we could convert that to energy without wasting money from the government that we do not have.

Delegate Basilius, why only 3 months and $1,000 fine. Most of these people who break these laws can afford more than $1,000 fine. They pay out of their pocket and will do it again. Give them a year behind bars and $5,000 fine.

Forget about the street lights if no one wants to pay for it. And really, most of the time drivers do not follow the lights. I've seen some who drives away or turn when there are no incoming traffic even though the light is red. The maintenance and the cost is too much. It could be a salary for 1 or 2 police officers.

I agree with you Cheuas. The minister should let Mr. Rengulbai do his work, and not step on his toes. Although he is the minister, he should not overstep his bounds. I guess this is when the adage works, "It's not what you know, it is who you know" kind of deal. You can screw around on government time because you know someone who will reinstate you back if you get caught.

Get these crooks out of the public office and put them in jail. If they remain in the office they will continue to do their own illegal business and activities. Who knows what they have done before and now they are just getting caught. And once found guilty they should not be appointed to any government office again, nor hold government jobs. Palau should have stricter and stringent laws against these crimes and criminals. Especially when one hold a high public office one should be held to a higher standard. It is sad. I am sure if it was just a normal Joe, he would be in jail right now.
