i recently got the Sprint Overdrive Hotspot 3G/4G. Works really well in up an down the west coast.It is based on WiMAX vs LTE. My understanding is that LTE is a bit faster but did not want to wait for Verizon's 4G Mifi solution to roll out sometime in March/April. If you are going to be on the road with multiple connected devices (smart phone, laptop, tablet) would highly recommend going with a 4G hotspot solution. Skip the additional service plans.
