So, I was fiddling around in my attic this morning thinking I should decorate a bit for Valentine's Day.... (okay, maybe I was procrastinating....) I found a box of vintage doily place mats and my mind started twirling...they have aged perfectly ( like a smooth bourbon or wheel of brie) ....hmmmm.... And, voila! Introducing the "Tag you're my Valentine" pinwheel! I love the cranberry ribbon with the cream and black print! Or - check out other ribbon options in my etsy store! And, lastly - THANK YOU to everyone that responded to the offer for Haiti - truly generous in... Continue reading

If someone told me that I would be flying to Omaha in November of 2009, my reply would have been, "Excuse me? Do you mean Nebraska?" However, that's exactly what I did last Thursday! Let me back up a minute. In January 2008, I was trotting out my new stationery and gift wrap line at the Atlanta Gift Show. The next booth ovah, was the lovely sister team of Amy and Alison from Bear Hug Designs. Four days of chatting, laughing, and writing orders. We had a hoot, and a friendship was born. When I asked Amy where she was... Continue reading

As the calendar turns over to November - it always reminds me how much I adore this time of year. Getting snuggled in for the winter season. New flannel pj's. Stocking the pantry for sweet and savory oven-baked recipes. Sipping a steaming mug of chider ( 1/2 double spice chai tea 1/2 apple cider ) that my lovely friend, Lisa introduced me to! And, looking forward to my favorite holiday of all - Thanksgiving Day. Food. Friends. Family. Spending quiet moments in gratitude for the abundant blessings in my life. Continue reading

Halloween is almost here! If you are at all like me (a creative loot hoarder), you often snap-up unique items not knowing at the time what their future holds. Frequently, a fellow hunter or shop owner has posed the question "What are you going to do with that?" My typical reply, "I haven't the foggiest - but it will come to me!" * And, then magically...bibbidi bobbity boo - all of the studio supplies begin swirling around ...mica glitter...vintage crepe paper... gently used floral vases from a local thrift store I purchased for under a dollar... and -POOF! I simply... Continue reading
