Mere chinstraps cannot overcome the inherent forces associated with a collision involving Stupor Cooper. The mannequin head is accordingly gray, as in gray matter.

So I log into typepad and then try to link to your Herald content. Link sends me to a Herald "member page"? Two tiered log in? It's sports opinion not national security. I'd love nothing more than to read your additional content Jo. But I'm not registering with the Miami Herald to do it. This will drive down their hits, and yours. Wake up Miami Herald. There is a bottomless list of content out there. Get I.T. on the horn and at least make content accessible from Typepad. My computer desktop is already buried with post it notes for passwords and usernames for banking and bill paying etc. I'm not adding another layer to it to read Herald articles.

UM/FSU - Miami's milk carton search for serviceable DE's fails. Fisher exploits UM's thin line with his experienced offensive line. Sloppy play by both groveling ACC has-beens. Battle in trenches is one-sided UM 17 FSU 27 CSU/UF - Tebow gets exposed as overrated halfback in overrated conference. So what if CSU is 0-16 against FBS opponent and has an information page that is a PDF, they're 3-4 against the state of Florida and return their entire offense. The Buc's steal momentum early, quiet the 90,000 fans and roll big. CSU 38 UF 2 Nebraska/FAU - Having the 2nd best QB in the state isn't enough as the owls only wish they could burrow. Schnelly takes Beverlee's FAU AM-EX then buys 5,000 more blue plastic seats, 35 urinals and one light pole. It's a trade-off. Nebraska 54 FAU 14 USF/Wofford The Bulls go Pit Bull on the Terriers. Terriers don't care and make reservations in the Dessert Room at Bern's . While wolfing down decadent King Midas dessert QB Mitch Allen bemoans loss but raves about the fresh whipped cream. USF 42 Wofford - ZIP UGA/ OKlahoma St.- Richt is 8-0 in openers. Cox doesn't win it but doesn't lose it. Yet again a Big12 D gets exposed. After loss media wants to know if Gundy is a man. UGA 37 Oklahoma St. 33 Nevada/ND - Weis spent week swearing off French Cruellers and has team ready in Irrelevant Bowl. Nevada 13 ND 31 BYU/Oklahoma - Defensive coordinator Brent Venables forgets his ephedrine AND his Black Beauties in his glove compartment but still gets it done. News of Manny Johnson's appearance on Fear Factor rallies team. Oklahoma 54 BYU 13 Alabama/VT - 'Bama shows why the Atlanta Dome is owned by the SEC. ACC Conference Champ VT gets exposed as,....ACC Conference Champ. Tommy Bowden's Candy-Gram to Beamer accomplishes nothing. Alabama 19 VT 14

I called it a night after game one and missed the fisticuffs. Bad decision making drives Spurrier nuts and Garcia does just that. You just know SOS has reamed that kid a million times. Oregon Ducks, Worst..... Uni's.... EVER

I'm always amused to see suspensions listed as injuries. I guess it's an injury to the pride.

Mom, I think you're putting too much emphasis on having him suit up for 09. A commenter pointed out the other day that if UF needs him that badly then we aren't as deep as we think we are. Even if he wasn't injured he would likely see limited time ala Percy's freshman year. If he does need surgery and they delay it his role will be more along the lines of getting a feel for the college game by experiencing the bigger players and atmosphere. Meyer has beaucoup weapons at his disposal and will bring AD along slower than you seem to want regardless of the hammy situation. I had confidence going into last year that Urban would develop solid play at DT. He did just that. I have the same confidence in Meyer's 09 WR's. The Percy position can be filled to some extent by the lightning fast tough as nails Jeff Demps and others. Percy's touches can be spread around very effectively. I'll be very surprised to see any AD this year beyond a handful of plays. I'm fine with that.

Rico, Percy had a heel issue from high school. It was successfully operated on after his sophmore season. Don't confuse that with his ankle injury late last year. I diasagree with the "injury prone" tag he got. He played through the heel stuff. Anyone can get their ankle hurt, especially when guys are diving all over the place to tackle him. Migraine headache? Not an injury. Did I miss any others?

I was at a high school football exhibition game last night where I saw Gerald Christian and Matt Elam chillin. Elam was rockin a Gator t-shirt. Oh yeahhh Those lightning detection systems that shut games down are a joke. Clear an entire field and grandstands so that everyone can come back 15 minutes later?Gimme a break. St. Thomas is kicking the snot out of the Ohio kids.

Man, hamstrings injuies are not only nagging but highly painful as well. I hope he doesn't have a tear. We probably won't be seeing any AD this year. Hope I'm wrong.

MTX- I would have Agreed with you ten years ago. 2009? Not so much. Plus, Fsu is the favorite for good reasons aside from night game at Tallahassee How do canes look at 4 most important positions on the field? QB? Thin (no pun intended) OT? Thin, nothing there DT? Scary thin, Jimbo will pound them CB? Thin, they were atrocious last year. How much improvement will they show?

Toss up. Either a Big12 beatdown or an ACC beatdown. UGA/OkSt will probably be a better game but 'Bama playing defending ACC champ has plenty of appeal. Can we just skip right to UF/UT ?

Brantley knows that hard work and patience will provide an opportunity for him. He's doing what the majority of QB's do, grow into the position and wait your turn. Plus, the kid has Gator bloodlines that run deep. Taylor Cook is transferring? OUCH! that is a huge blow to their already suspect depth chart.

Oooops. Pardon me while I go punch myself in the face. Fayson went to Illinois as the post insinuates. And a little research reveals that he has three career touchdowns. He was in Percy's class and felt jilted by taking a backseat to Percy. Did we lose that much when he departed?

Welcome back Jo. What ever became of Fayson. I remember him transferring but I don't know what happened to him beyond that. also, your conference realignment piece was strong. Did it fade into the past? Or is the NCAA giving it a look before they institute it?
