So I've gone a little chicken crazy! We've been pondering the idea of chickens for years because we have the room and we even have a darling coop my husband made a few years back in anticipation of getting chickens. At the time, life was more than a little busy! We had one Palomino Horse, one Jersey Calf to bottle feed (rescued from the local feed store, a story for another day), 4 baby chicks I had hand hatched for 24 days (and raised for 3 weeks before giving them back), one Lab, 2 cats and then there were the... I enjoy magazines and blogging because the women are always so inspiring. I love how in the magazine Romantic Homes an artist or entreprenuar is featured each time. In the same way sometimes it's great to reflect on my own life and take a little inventory so I thought I would share it to give a window into what inspires me, at least momentarily! They realize they were thought of and I know I am taking care of them well! (It also keeps them from saying "I'm hungry,... Continue reading

After spending much of our summer by~the~sea in a new beach cottage we are settling in once again to our old farmhouse in the country for fall. Summer has been full of wind blowing, waves crashing, fires in the sand and our children playing endlessly morning til evening. We've enjoyed seafood galore and exploring the beach in all it's abundance! However fall is on its way in with all it's glory! I am passionately packing away the garden furniture, pots and clutter. Ready to settle the affairs of summer & out of doors life for the cozy warmth of inside... Continue reading
