Great article! I, like Matt, participated in both the SEJ conference and the rally (each was a very positive experiences!) I had a different perception than Liam's -- I saw many journalists came across the street to talk with the activists, and even a few who crossed the police tape to do so. The rally was motivated by the desire to connect with journalists and present local issues -- which was a great success. Journalists are in the unique position of being able to spread information that the public would otherwise never hear about. I realize it's difficult to make the truth heard, and in a time when lies often dominate public discourse, your dedication to the truth is truly heroic. Thanks to all of you who did come over and connect -- we South Floridians who care about the saving and restoring this beautiful place, and the Earth, appreciate your work very much!
