I know you're going to think I'm sucking up, but I actually was thinking about you just a couple of days ago and wondering how things were going for you. It was nice to see your blog pop up on my feed. Welcome back!

Am so very, very pleased for you and Elise, and selfishly, in anticipation of more stories for your blog! I have always enjoyed your writing, but when you write so personally, it is incredibly moving.

Shane, not exactly a Magazine Mansion-type cliffhanger, but a tale that I am equally as anxious to read more about. If there is indeed another little Nickerson on the way, I am thrilled for you all. Either way, Dr. Sack has some 'splainin' to do.

I am sending this to each of my NaNoWriMo compatriots and then printing it to post over my desk until I finish this $#@!@# book (my first). A well-needed kick in the pants, as has been said. Nice work, sir.

I am so very pleased that I have thus far successfully avoided reading (or writing) ANY bathroom tweets! w00t!

I don't read blogs in the same way, but that's mostly because I usually use Google Reader to make it easier to keep up with those that I actually want to read. People don't write in blogs like they used to either, and I actually get excited when I see a longer entry! Tuning out isn't selfish -- I think it's just information overload. I hope you do start writing blogs regularly again, as I've been reading you for several years and do enjoy your perspective on things and especially your sense of humor.

Donated on behalf of my menagerie -- I have 5 cats and a dog, all were rescued, stray, or unwanted. Ferris was truly a gift that will keep on giving -- I'm sorry for your loss, and pleased I could contribute.
