Cartoon Cake Village makes absolutely wonderful superhero cake toppers. Each one is handcrafted from sugar paste. The detail on this Iron Man Cake Topper is simply amazing. I really like how you can see each separate piece of metal that was forged together to make the armor. He is in a action pose and is getting ready to fire his repulsor ray. Here is Captain America wearing his classic red, white, and blue costume and holding his shield. Cap looks like he is in a defensive stance. The Hulk looks angry and larger than life. if you don’t keep any... Continue reading

My daughter made this Exploding TARDIS Cookie using spare icing and cookies from a recent cookie project. She had fun creating this Geeky edible creation. The cookie has swirly patterns in blue, orange and white. The TARDIS is shown on the cookie at multiple points as it is swirling around in space. The colors matched the colors of cookies made the previous day. She loves watching Doctor Who episodes. This Doctor Who cookie design is based on the exploding TARDIS painting done by Van Gogh in the Doctor Who episode: The Pandora Opens. Van Gogh paints a representation of his... Continue reading

This marvelous Galactus Cake was made by Xtra Special Cakes. I love the design of this cake with Galactus preparing to devour the Earth. The cake even includes Galactus’ gigantic headgear. My husband is a fan of the Fantastic Four, Galactus, and Silver Surfer. He would go crazy, if he received this cake for his Birthday. Galactus and The Silver Surfer 1st appeared in Fantastic Four #48. Here is the final panel reveal of Galactus from that issue. In the next issue, Galactus’ costume is purple and brown (the color scheme used by Xtra Special Cakes) and I kid you... Continue reading

Wow! The Bunny Baker Café & Cake Studio did an amazing job with this Iron Man Hulkbuster Armor Cake Topper. This awesome topper was 15 inches tall. It features a special version of the Iron Man armor designed specifically to battle the Hulk. The Hulkbuster Armor is thicker and has more weapons than Iron Man’s standard armor. The base of this cake topper looks like Tony Stark’s Arc Reactor and has the birthday boy’s name on it. I’d love for the Bunny Baker to make a matching Hulk Cake Topper to match this one someday. The Hulkbuster armor first appeared... Continue reading

This wonderful Jurassic World Cake was made by Louise Jackson Cake Design. Louise made this for her son’s 8th birthday. The Velociraptor was made from modeling chocolate. If you look closely, you’ll see that he is standing on a cake board not the actual cake. That was so her son could keep him afterwards. The detail on the Velociraptor is amazing! Louise did a phenomenal job making him. I like the way she put rocks and plants with him and placed matching rocks and plants on the cake board. That is a really nice touch. The Jurassic World Logo was... Continue reading

This awesome Avengers: Age of Ultron Cake was made by The Violet Cake Shop. Violet made this for her son’s 10th birthday. The cake features two layers. The bottom layer is Silver and Blue and has Captain America’s shield on the front. The second layer is black and has Ultron’s face on the front. On top of the cake is the Avengers’ stylized A. Ultron’s face was hand cut and detailed with fondant. Then it was painted with silver lustre dust. If you look closely, you’ll see that Ultron’s eye glow. The eyes are made out of isomalt dyed red... Cartoon Cake Village makes absolutely wonderful superhero cake toppers. Each one is handcrafted in sugar paste. Here is Wonder Woman. Wonder Woman is wearing her red, white, blue, and gold costume. She has her silver bracelets and red and white boots. She is wearing her tiara and has her lasso at her side. Here is Superman. He looks like he is just about to take flight. I like the fact that Superman is wearing his classic costume with the red shorts. For the last few years, DC Comics has tried different costumes for Superman and none of them worked for... Unfortunately, I do not know who created this terrific Thanos Cake. If you know who created this, please let me know in the comments bellow so that I can give the baker the credit they richly deserve. This wonderful cake features the bust of Thanos. The detail on Thanos’ face is wonderful. He is even snarling, daring you to slice him! Here are four views of this cool Thanos Cake. Thanos has become really well know because of his cameo appearance in Marvel movies. The two part movie, Avengers: Infinity War, is supposed to feature the Avengers vs. Thanos. Thanos... Remember Trading Places with Dan Aykroyd and Eddie Murphy? 32 years later, it is time for a sequel. Flodo Span and I are trading blogs today! My favorite Green Lantern fan, Flodo Span, is writing today’s post on Between the Pages and my post is appearing on Flodo’s Page. The reason? This month marks Green Lantern’s 75 Birthday! Green Lantern first appeared in All-America Comics #16 back in July 1940. Before we get to Flodo’s post, it wouldn’t be a Between the Pages post without some mouth watering yummies. So, for this occasion, I made Flodo Span cookies! Here’s Flodo:... Continue reading

This marvelous two sided SpongeBob Wedding Cake was made by Estrele Cakes. I really like the design of this two sided wedding cake. One side is a gorgeous wedding cake. But if you flip it around, the other side is a funny scene featuring SpongeBob. Here is a close-up of the wedding cake side. The cake is made up of four layers of white circles. Each circle is slightly smaller than the one bellow it. Each layer has a small white band near the bottom. Draped across the cake are a lovely set of flowers. There are three types of...
