Let's make sure that the bans in the Uniform Code of Military Justice on sodomy and adultery are enforced in courts martial.
Don’t ask, don’t tell
It is past time to end this disgraceful “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy and move forward allowing homosexual service members to, without fear of negative consequences, serve their country. To say that being homosexual is a sin is no different from saying being straight is a sin. Military chaplai...
Further restrictions on the sale of firearms is a violation of the Second Amendment. Gun control is legitimate only when applied to increasing criminal penalties for using a firearm in committing a crime, such as robbery, carjacking, or shooting at houses or funerals.
Or shooting people or their young children to retaliate or to warn them not to cooperate with police.
More gun control
Anyone who doubts the need for regulation of firearms needs only to look to the Dec 15 issue of The Star. On Page One is a story about mourners at the funeral of a young shooting victim. People at the service had to grab some ground when an idiot or idiots started shooting. It must have seemed l...
The Mombasa Marxist is not black, he's a mulatto, and more Arab than Negro.
Conservatives don't hate his indeterminate skin color, they hate his teleprompter.
Obama faces unfair treatment over race
It is time for someone to say out loud what is known by the American public. Conservatives, including most of those in the tea party movement, have been up in arms for one reason. They don’t like that the leader of this country is a young, educated, independent thinking African-American man. T...
We will never give up our God-given right to capital punishment under any circumstances, regardless of what any leftist, activist judges say about "reinterpreting" our rights.
Former Justice Stevens explains why he opposes death penalty
Former Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens has written a piece for the New York Review of Books explaining why he's now against the death penalty, after casting a crucial vote for capital punishment earlier in his career. Basically, he says, executing inmates poses too high a risk that an in...
It is constitutional, legitimate, and prudent to discriminate against bad, destructive, and disruptive behavior like sodomy, which is still a violation of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, and will remain so.
‘Don’t ask, don’t tell’
The "don’t ask, don’t tell" law is being considered for repealing. Good. Because here’s the deal: We live in a country where discrimination based on race, gender or, in this case, sexual orientation, is generally frowned upon. The military’s policy is not only unjust, but disconnected from the...
Late-term abortions generally incur the most physical and psychological health risk to the mother. Furthermore, data from 37 studies shows that abortion increases the risk of subsequent premature birth (delivery prior to 37 weeks) by 35%, and more than one abortion increases the risk to 93%. Premature birth exposes the newborn to increased risk of low-birth weight (which has been linked to physical and developmental problems), epilepsy, autism, mental retardation, cerebral palsy, and infant mortality during the first year of life. Research indicates that prior abortions led to 1096 cases of cerebral palsy among babies born prematurely in 2002. Abortion and also premature birth increases the risk of breast cancer in the mother by as much as double.
Abortion mills like Planned Parenthood are known to conceal some or all of these risks in their abortion mills. An abortion without fully informed consent is a coerced abortion.
Epilepsy awareness
More than 3 million Americans have epilepsy or a seizure disorder. November is National Epilepsy Awareness Month, and I am one of thousands of volunteers working to raise awareness of this terrible condition. My son has epilepsy. Epilepsy is common, but many people know little about it or what...
Hisham Elzanaty, 51, is among the members of a real estate partnership that paid $4.8 million last year for the vacant clothing store that is to be torn down and replaced by the World Trade Center terrorist victory mosque. Elzanaty made a $6050 donation in 1999 to the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development, a front for the terrorist organization Hamas. He claims he wanted his donation to go to an orphanage rather than Muslim terrorism.
After a few more terrorist attacks plotted in mosques, Americans may eventually get smart enough to stop trusting Muslims.
Meanwhile, a Haman spokesman announced plans to kill more Jews, and Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah praised Hamas on Friday for shooting more Jews.
Meanwhile, at least five Muslim Iranian companies in Afghanistan's capital are using their offices covertly to funnel cash to Muslim Taliban terrorists for killing U.S. troops or destroying their vehicles.
Mosque debate
Should there be a mosque at ground zero? Absolutely — and there should be a synagogue, church, temple, cathedral and any other place of worship as well. This way all people of peace can come together and pray for peace in a place where peace was so tragically ripped away. Mary Westbrock-Amor...
Some people just can't take any criticism of what they do or say, call it hatred when they hear it. Their skin is thinner than Lewinski's kneepads.
End hate with faith
Voicing hatred by anyone for any group is evil. And it matters not what the pretext, real or imagined, that sparks the outburst. All of us have experienced the slings and arrows of unjust verbiage. We have all suffered injustice, from deliberate insult and from vicious verbal, and sometimes phys...
New Jersey Republican Governor Chris Christie has cut state taxpayer funding of abortion mills, outraging pro-abortion Democrats, who intend to vote for new legislation to reinstate the taxpayer funding, severely dimming their chances for reelection, since over 70% of Americans oppose taxpayer funding to abortion mills like Planned Parenthood.
We can surely hope for the same situation with our new Kansas governor next year.
Keep a good thought.
Planned Parenthood
The Johnson County commissioners (with the exception of Ed Peterson of Fairway) voting not to participate in a potential pregnancy prevention grant simply because Planned Parenthood is one of the participants is shortsighted and ridiculous, especially when funds for such programs are drying up a...
Planned Parenthood board members are masters of misinformation. Cut all taxpayer funding to Planned Parenthood abortion mills, and their nationwide pattern of criminal abuses and exploitations. Proceed with the prosecution of dozens of felonies in Planned Parenthood's late-term Overland Park abortion mill. (We've seen some of the criminal evidence published, and the abortionist quacks look guilty as sin.)
Fire Judge Beier on Pink Slip Tuesday in November, for stalling the prosecution and gagging a judge who is a witness.

Parents will tell their children the same thing as when reading to their children from Romans 1:24-32 or Jude 1:7-8.
"Recriminalize sodomy."
Don’t ask, don’t tell
And I thought Kansas was bad. Apparently, Missouri Democrat Ike Skelton, chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, opposes repeal of the inane “don’t ask, don’t tell” law because it might force a discussion of homosexuality in America’s living room (6/9, A6, “Skelton hopes to avoid discuss...
Golly, what on earth are we doing electing our presidents, governors, and congressment, then?
Guess we'd better do away with self-government, since it's so corrupt.
Judicial selection
In his May 18 letter, Ivan Fail presented a case for judicial election for accountability. I would like to point out an example. In West Virginia, where judges are elected, Donald Blankenship, CEO of Massey Energy, whose mine disaster recently killed 29 miners, spent nearly $3 million on the ele...
U.S. House Republicans introduced a bill last week to repeal the abortion-funding Marxist medical takeover. Remember who opposes this bill on Pink Slip Tuesday in November.
Meanwhile, the Senate Armed Forces Committee last week approved an amendment to a bill that would turn U.S. military base hospitals, both domestic and overseas, into abortion mills, contrary to long-standing policy banning abortions at taxpayer-funded facilities.
When baby-hating William the Slick allowed abortions in military facilities from 1993 to 1996, all military physicians (as well as many nurses and supporting personnel) refused to perform or assist in elective abortions. In response, the Clinton administration attempted to hire civilian abortionist quacks. You taxpayers are now going to have to pay for more civilian abortionist quacks in military hospitals to satisfy Obamanation’s baby-hating agenda, looks like.
Tea party wrong on health care reform
Thomas Hay makes it clear in his May 19 letter that the “responsible Americans” who make up the tea party movement “do not need or want big government programs,” specifically Social Security and Medicare. He says he would be better off if he had been able to choose his own health care. Without ...
The USofA has always scrupulously protected the rights of Muslims to espouse their false religion, and built their mosques. In thanks, we do not even get a strong denouncement of treacherous Muslim terrorist attacks on us from any Muslim groups, just sponsoring of more attacks.
The Connecticut Muslim mosque attended by the Taliban-trained Times Square terrorist, the Bridgeport Islamic Society, and Masjid An-Noor, are owned and controlled by a pro-jihad front group for Hamas, a federally designated terrorist group and its radical parent, the Muslim Brotherhood.
The front group, North American Islamic Trust, holds title to the large Bridgeport mosque. NAIT is the financial arm of the Islamic Society of North America. Both entities have been blacklisted by the U.S. government as unindicted co-conspirators in a criminal plot to underwrite Palestinian terrorism, including suicide bombings that have killed Americans.
NAIT also holds the deed to Dar al-Hijrah Islamic Center, the large mosque outside Washington where the Fort Hood terrorist and some of the 9/11 hijackers worshipped.
This radical custodian of the Bridgeport Islamic Society also publishes and distributes jihadi literature that exhorts Muslims to "kill" any Westerners who get in the way of spreading Islam.
United Muslim voice
The Kansas City Star showed its readers how the Muslims in our community are united and striving to work together (5/1, Faith, “One voice of Islam; new organization aims to speak for all local Muslims and to tackle a host of issues”). Hopefully, this means the Sunni and Shiite segments will be p...
More Perverted Professors
Cal State East Bay assistant professor Kenneth Kyle, 46, of San Fransicko, was charged by the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney's Office in Missouri with statutory rape, statutory sodomy and promoting child pornography. The 1-year-old child victim's mother, Tessa Vanvlerah, 20, of Ballwin, MO also faces the same charges, along with an additional charge of incest. The pair of dangerous deviants met through the Internet and Kyle traveled to Missouri about five times to visit Vanvlerah to perform sex acts with her on her 13-month-old daughter. Over 100 child porn images and movies were confiscated from Kyle’s home and the laptop computer he carried when arrested.
Kyle was also an associate professor of sociology at Pennsylvania State University before joining Cal State East Bay.
Monsters among us
In response to Chelsea King’s murder, Mim Vangel asks, "Do people realize how many sex offenders there are in the U.S.?" (3/15, Letters) Vangel suggests the states should do a better job of monitoring offenders to keep people safe and that King should not have jogged alone, in public. Wrong. Mo...
Don't call Obamanation a Negro, he's a Mulatto.
Was Reid calling Obamanation a house n1***r?
Reid’s ‘apology’
The book “Game Change” disclosed that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid made racial comments about then-Sen. Barack Obama during the 2008 presidential campaign (1/10, National). Since Reid is up for re-election this year, I believe that his apology is disingenuous. He is only covering his backs...
Sorry, Janet, over 70% of Americans are opposed to any taxpayer funding of any abortions. If there is a Marxist federal takeover of medical insurance, that means that no medical insurance policy anywhere will cover abortion, by the will of the majority.
You contract the mangling, dismembering, poisoning, or beheading of your children, and you pay the entire bill.
Coverage should include abortion
I am so disappointed in the Nelson abortion check provision in the Senate health bill. No one ever talks about sex education. What a new concept! If people buy their own health insurance (which it looks like we all will be doing in the future) then the insurance coverage should cover all medica...
BBC weatherman Paul Hudson received news of the deliberate fraud, doctoring and deleting of climate data committed at the Climatic Research Unit at the University of East Anglia more than a month ago, through leaked emails, but refused to report anything on the story, because it contradicted BBC policy of indoctrinating the public in to believing the fraudulent theory of man-made global warming supposedly threatening the Planet, while squashing news and data that are in contradiction.
Distorted data on climate change
How shocking. In the study of climate change, scientific method has been corrupted by greed and power (11/22, National/World, “Hackers heat up the debate on climate”). Of course, such deception has long been present. Much of the man-caused climate change hype was ignited by the “Mann curve,” it...
Federal government cannot create enough jobs through spending bills, we have seen that fail repeatedly, with terrible jumps in our deficit and national debt. Democrats can't just keep saying "tax the rich" to fix it, we know that won't work.
Small businesses can create enough jobs, with the right tax cuts and incentives to promote the growth of businesses and our national economy, growth that will eventually bring back increases in government revenues.
Listen to what Newt Gingrich is saying today.
Tax cuts create jobs
President Obama has called for a “jobs summit.” The first thing he should do is drop plans to socialize one-sixth of the U.S. economy, which is what would eventually happen if a public option for health care is passed. What needs to be done to create jobs is not complicated. Another government...
You show your ignorance, Eden, there is no safe promiscuity. Condoms and contraceptives have significant failure rates. Condoms cannot prevent transmission of some diseases like HPV and chlamydia. Abstinence educaton should include significant focus on how teenagers can avoid situations which could lead to compromising their safety as well as their morals.
Comprehensive sex ed needed
I am a high school freshman at Shawnee Mission East and am surrounded each day by talk of sex, including revelations of new sexual experiences many of my peers are practicing. I am concerned that they are not being safe. In health, we only learn about abstinence. It seems that they think that b...
In a CNN interview, convicted felon Martha Stewart called Gov. Sarah Palin "boring," "very dangerous," and "a real problem" among other things. Probably, only the desperately frightened leftist news media listed to Stewart. You betcha.
Palin was robbed
Sarah Palin is convinced that John McCain’s presidential campaign staff, once they realized that he was going down in defeat, acted to ensure that she lost as well. Otherwise, she is certain, she could have easily beaten Joe Biden and been a great help to President Obama. Michael Mardikes Kans...
Obamanation doesn't have to rewrite history. Our children in public schools haven't learned hardly any of it for many years.
Doubleplus ungood.
‘1984’ bears re-reading
I am once again re-reading George Orwell’s “1984.” This novel, published in 1949, is still extremely disturbing. Mr. Orwell describes a totalitarian regime which has reckless, gripping control of the people. Have you ever heard someone remark, “Big Brother is watching?” That phrase comes from ...
The Republican Party has had a terrible problem for years with infiltration by pro-abortion RINOs, but as of now party is trying to purge them, and the Republican National Committee is divesting employees of insurance policies that pay for abortions.
Now, lets get rid of those Kansas state employee policies that cover any abortions whatsoever. (They've got loopholes that pay for some abortions, unacceptable.)
Abortion’s role in health debate
I am a lifelong practicing Catholic, and not an abortion advocate. However the extreme position that the U.S. bishops have taken regarding abortion in the health care bill is self-serving. The bishops want nothing in the bill to go for abortion funding, but they purchase health insurance for th...
Sodomy is a violation of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, for good reason.
Allowing unrestricted sodomy in military ranks would spread filth, perversion, diseases, suspicion, distrust, expoitation of subordinates, and vile smut throughout, destroying the ability to defend our borders and national security.
Recriminalize sodomy.
Gays in military
In regard to Maj. Joe Evans’ letter (11/3) in which he repeatedly refers to a person’s sexual orientation as a preference, I have one question for the major: At what age did you decide that you “prefer” to be (choose one) left-handed or right-handed? Nan McCarthy Overland Park
We have to chuckle at Caranchini's ignorance while claiming to promote knowledge of our Constitution. The phrase "wall of separation between church and state" does not appear in the First Amendment, but comes from President Jefferson's 1802 letter to the Danbury Baptist Association, a religious minority, assuring them that their church organizations would be free from interference from Congress. The First Amendment actually prohibits federal lawmakers from making any law respecting the establishment of a national religion, or prohibiting the free exercise of religion. Therefore, neither can the Executive Branch enforce any such law or policy, nor can the Supreme Court rule on any such law or policy.
A prayer is not the establishment of a national religion, therefore, there has never been any legitimate prohibition of prayer in public schools by students or faculty, as long as such exercise of religion or participation in such is not coerced or interfering with scheduled classroom instruction.
We live in a constitutional republic and are a free people, folks. Don't be indoctrinated by leftists.
House balances Senate
A letter writer (10/26) complained that Wyoming had two senators while California had the same number despite the fact that California had a hugely larger population. He said that was one reason Middle Eastern countries are confused about our Constitution. The Founding Fathers created two house...
