There's an awfully lot of Gardner in Mason too. Gardner was responsible for legislatures rewriting several pieces of criminal law, because of the loopholes exploited by Gardner in his court cases. (And later in his fiction!)

Speaking of which, Outrage is now being shown on HBO. The movie outs several Republican politicians who vote against gay legislation while trolling the bathrooms, parks and other venues for gay sex. Florida Gov Charlie Crist plays a big role in the movie as does Larry "Wide Stance" Craig. That's a time when people's sex lives might matter. Who Dave sleeps with really doesn't matter to me, other than I wish he would not sleep with the staff for the apperance of impropriety.
