Thursdays at Laugh Out Loud Theater - a Night of Improv set to Music! Schaumburg, IL – Due to popular demand, Laugh Out Loud Theater, THE place for improv comedy in Chicago's northwest suburbs, has announced the extension of their latest hit, Instant Musical through April Fool’s Day (no fooling!). Instant Musical is a night of all-improvised musical comedy. Coming up in March, the Elgin Symphony Orchestra will present several performances of Beethoven’s compelling and joyous 7th Symphony. The complete program consists of Mendelssohn’s A Midsummer's Night Dream: Overture, Mozart’s Sinfonia Concertante, and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7. It's not too early to plan for this exciting concert by the Elgin Symphnoy Orchestra. Symphonie fantastique (Fantastic Symphony) was written by French composer Hector Berlioz in 1830. It is widely regarded as one of the most important and representative pieces of the early Romantic period, and is still very popular with concert audiences worldwide. The symphony is a piece of program music which tells the story of "an artist gifted with a lively imagination" who has "poisoned himself with opium" in the "depths of despair" because of "hopeless love." Tom Arnold headlines the Chicago Improv of Schaumburg Oct. 15 & 16. Starting out as a stand-up comic in the Midwest, Arnold gained national fame as a writer and actor on ABC's hit sitcom Roseanne. Among many other TV credits, he hosts Fox Sports Net's The Best Damn Sports Show Period. In 1983 Tom Arnold got his first taste of stand-up comedy when he performed at open microphone nights at the University of Iowa.
