Either way you want to justify the timing of him leaving it is yet another unfortunate set back for a already very troubled program! Most of incoming class was offensive players so we can only watch and see what the fallout from this will be on NSD!

It is hard for me not to aggravated about this. He announces on the biggest recruiting weekend of the year two weeks before NS! Morris is a senior and it is pointless for him to have to learn yet another system. If Golden does not get this next OC hire right and the D-Fence under his boy doesn't improve a 120% then we are looking at like 3 win season next year!

Manny, Golden seems to take the pat the players on the back approach after bad plays. If you look at a lot of the top coaches in the game right now they seem to be more chew the players out for bad plays. Do you think Golden needs to start taking a harder approach after some of these bad plays on the field?

Great article Manny. Your best work so far this year. I agree with every point you made. I especially like the point you made about the up comming teams on our schedule. I wanted this team to be a top 10 team and win the ACC more then anyone. Even a lot of the national media bought into this years team. This team 5 games through this year is the biggest fraud in the country. I keep seeing post of we still can run the table, beat FSU in the rematch for the ACC title, and then beat a top 10 team in the Orange Bowl. Fellow fans for your own good wake up this team is a fraud! This team is headed for at least 3 more losses during the reguler season. Shannon and staff is not capable of turning this team around in mid season just the way they have been unable to turn the program around in 4 years. It is heart breaking for a 27 year die hard fan like me to come to realty, but you got to start looking at the numbers and not you feelings!!

Sounds like to me that Harris and the offense still can not play well in the rain. Lets prey for clear skies on all game days this season.

What is wrong with Erickson? This is two starts in a row that he was pulled early in the game. Is his arm getting tired at this point in the season? If so that may be big trouble for us in the post season.

It is comming apart for Haith. He better hire a good x's & o's coach this off season to help with game planning.

I like Shannon goals for this spring. This team does need to get stronger and tougher. I also think starting spring early in the year is good idea, so any injured players have more time to recover for fall camp.

Manny what have you heard about Shannon search for a new running backs coach to replace Robinson?

Lets not turn this into a bash RS thing. He was a two year special team player. Not a big loss plus we have 4 guys returning with a lot of playing experince and five more freshman on the way. He was overrated just like his brother. Good luck to him but not a big deal.

I agree RS should have gave Chandler a Scholly just to avoid all of this reporting. Do you realy think Chandler replacment that is like a 2star from the mid west would be any better the 4star Chandler. Plus you would avoid a reff in the water with NW. Come on RS pull this stuff together!

Shawnbrey McNeal, RB: Transferred to SMU and had breakout season, entering NFL Draft !!!! I posted on here several time that I thought Shawnbrey was our best running back on the team and just like Berry this year never got the correct amount of playing time by Shannon. The few chances he got he did nothing but rip off 50 yard TD runs for us. I seems that Shannon from day one made up his mind that Cooper & James was his guys and better back have been setting on the bench no matter how well the preformed.

Thanks for the post. What are you hearing on Clint Hurtt ? Is he in or out ?

We need to have an under study asst learning Whipple play book so he can be ready to step in when the time comes that Whipple does leave. I think he will be back for next season, but after that who knows. ( Manny I heard that Clint Hurtt is on his way out. Can you shed any light on that for us? )

This class so far is exactly what are program has become average at best. You sound still a little hopeful Manny, but it doesn't sound like you are even giving this class a ringing endorsement neither.

Manny thanks for all you hard work covering this season. What is your opinion on the postion coaches for Miami? Does it need to be any off season changes made or would you retain the whole staff?
