Wow - I've been "retired" for a week already. Oh how time flies when you're having fun.... Looks like I've been having lots of fun because I haven't accomplished many of the items on my To Do list. One of the first things I had intended to do this week was to de-clutter and organize my house. ...
mel...ok...so here is the way i look at this...what an amazing revelation!!!...and at such a young age with the ability and fortitude to realize it and actually do something about it...also...don't beat yourself up about your motivation and FIRST choice...the way i see it is look at what great things you accomplished and how successful you managed to be at something that never fulfilled you!!!...i would say "the sky is the limit" when you find a way to "do what you love"...also...maybe now you aren't looking for anyone else's approval...just your own...and you KNOW what makes your heart smile!!!love, jen

mel...meg shared your blog with me this weekend...i hope you don't mind...i am soooooo happy for you and so impressed with you!!!...what a great way for you to "think out loud"...and actually state your goals...chart your progress...and watch yourself grow...WOW...my first impression as i read your blogs was...what about writing???...that is soooooo creative...and you are absolutely awesome at it...all of your blogs are so interesting and descriptive...i feel like i am where you have been...and those are definitely my favorite writers...for instance nora roberts...and of course, all the things she is describing are things i love...homes, gardens, cooking, baking, clothes...all the things you like too...just like your fall blog...anyone would attend your fall festival!!!...and your arts blog...music blog...the best is...you are completely in the moment and appreciating all you experience...what a gift!!!...seriously...lots of people don't see it, feel it, or appreciate it!!!...love you...jen

Yesterday truly was the first day of the rest of my life - my new life after the law. On Sept 30, I said goodbye to the legal career I spent 14 years growing so that I can seek my place in the creative world. AND IT FEELS ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY, WITHOUT QUESTION, FABULOUS! I awoke with a renew...
ditto mel on them all...my favs are every single color of mum and pansy...and burning apple cider and pumpkin spice candles (from walmart...cheap) that make the whole house smell divine!!!...and cooking some of those meals that just don't work as well in the summer or taste as good in hot weather like chili, grilled cheese and tomato soup, roasts, stews...and good old cornbread to mention a few...
