"I have never experienced anything like this in my life!" I'm excited to introduce Techni-Calm here on the Blog. There's so much to be said! In brief, this is a combination Reflex Therapy and Herbal Hydrotherapy treatment that is not only CUSTOMIZED, but holds (read: lasts) for 360 continuous hours. That's more than 2 WEEKS. Imagine being free of stress...for 2 Weeks. I bet you can't! Because you've never tried something like this before...More to come!! “I was a very stressful person. I just struggled on a daily basis with stress, high-levels of anxiety and body fatigue. But, I did not like to be touched. My Stress Relief Therapist had to convince me that this type of stress relief system would not be invasive, and she assured me that the massage session to my feet would relax me and comfort me. And it did. I was very surprised at how comfortable I became with the technique. When the technique was applied to my feet, I could literally feel the negative mass leave various areas in my body and my mind. I was quite intrigued to observe all the tension leave my body. My Stress Relief Therapist talked with me during... Continue reading

I caught Living Well with Montel this morning, while I was cleaning my apartment. This was the first time I have seen the show. This particular episode featured the Ab Coaster, a unique piece of exercise equipment targeting the abs, and included various endorsements from the healthcare panel, users and Montel, himself. A couple things struck me right off-the-bat. One. Montel is looking phenomenal for someone struggling with Multiple Sclerosis! His commitment to Living Well despite his illness is so incredibly inspiring I’m almost speechless. I’d like to comment further on Montel and his struggle with MS at a later date. Two. Way too many Americans struggle with their weight. As cited by Montel, courtesy of a Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Report, 63% of American adults are overweight; 31% are considered obese. And these figures say nothing of the rest of us who diet, exercise, count calories, yo-yo-ing between different numbers on the scale. In short, the majority of us have, at some point in our lives, struggled to maintain a weight/size that is healthy and makes us feel good -- and feel good about the way we look. It is, for many people, a Challenge to reach... Continue reading

My friend Sandy is beginning Darlene’s Trauma Relief Treatment, and we’re going to follow her experience here on the blog. This is very exciting -- this treatment will serve to completely eradicate Sandy’s stored trauma -- for good! But first, what is Trauma? How is Sandy traumatized? And how is this treatment going to work? Darlene has been working with Stress and Trauma and its affect on individuals for nearly 13 years. She knows a thing or two, and she draws upon this experience and expertise when creating individualized treatments for her clients. I sat down with Darlene and listened as she shared her experience. What is Trauma? “Trauma,” Darlene says, “is when you’re constantly focusing on a fearful situation. It’s fear, being regularly and constantly produced, whether about an upcoming, current, or past situation.” This constant fear is “an energy that is blocking your life.” This crippling fear, Darlene explains, can exist whether your trauma is from an obvious source, for example, abuse, rape, or a combat zone, or from something intangible or unknown. For example, you may have a constant fear of flying, or of dying, or of a certain food, or of dating even. It may even... Continue reading

It is important to realize, Darlene emphasizes, that trauma means something different to each individual. What feels traumatic to one individual may barely register with someone else. Even two people that have experienced the same traumatic event may respond differently; one person may be unable to leave the house, sleep, or talk to people, while the other person is able to go out and function normally. This idea that each person copes with stress and trauma differently is the foundation of Darlene’s customized Trauma Relief System. Physical, mental, and emotional coping mechanisms vary among individuals. A physically weak person may feel “crushed” when faced with physical stressors; someone with lower emotional coping ability will be traumatized by an emotional affront. How it Works When you meet with Darlene before starting your Trauma Relief treatment, she determines the level or strength of your individual stress coping mechanism. The treatment that follows will elevate your stress/trauma coping mechanisms to a level where your body, mind, and emotional state can safely and comfortably self-release its trauma – without you having to “relive” your trauma. When your coping mechanisms are raised higher than you’re accustomed to, releasing trauma becomes easier. Darlene uses a combination... Continue reading

Sandy is a self-employed business owner and single woman living and working in the Denver area. You wouldn’t know it to meet her that she’s holding some crippling trauma. Her face is bright, she’s warm and expressive, very social, a great friend with a great sense of humor. Sandy experiences trauma surrounding money and finances. She constantly worries and fears complete financial collapse, despite the success of her business. She’s always waiting for the bottom to fall out: “I mentioned to Darlene that I was stressed over money. Well, this was hardly an adequate depiction. It was more like I [was] close to suicidal over worrying about money and just not feeling like I had a grip on my life. Finally, Darlene got me to admit just how severe my emotions over money were - they qualified as not mere stress, but trauma.” Sandy was more than willing to use Darlene’s Trauma Relief treatment. “So instead of a stress treatment, Darlene put me in a Trauma/Stress treatment as a precursor to a trauma treatment to follow. Prior to this I had been feeling so extremely out of control with my life and so worried about my business." Darlene’s treatment will... Continue reading

So to recap: Sandy's first treatment for the Trauma Relief will elevate her stress and trauma coping mechanisms so that she’s “prepped” (so to speak) to comfortably release her deeper, imbedded trauma, which she‘ll do over the next several weeks. This first treatment is not yet the “meat” of the overall treatment, and she’s already experiencing an incredible freedom: “So on Monday I did the trauma/stress treatment. I have been amazed at the change. I feel relaxed. I don’t have that feeling of “when’s the other shoe gonna drop” feeling. When I think back to my childhood I can remember feeling so fearful in so many situations that weren’t even phasing anyone else. I had no idea how to deal with this fear, nor how I even came to be such a mess. So many things are making sense now that did not before. I haven’t allowed myself to even desire to do better than just get by.” “My attitude has taken a 180 degree turn,” says Sandy. “I’m now thinking in terms of possibilities instead of how I may become a victim of some unforeseen financial disaster.” In less than a week, Sandy's attitude towards her imbedded, crippling, daily... “Darlene,” I continued, “that jacket is way too big on you.” This is a jacket I’ve seen her wear many times before. But I’ve seen it when it fit her. When I first met her, over a year ago, Darlene was a thin, fit young woman. She looked great. She looked healthy. But she was working on perfecting her Weight Loss System and, as with all her products, she wanted to try the treatment before she offered the service to the public. So for the next many months, she put on weight. And I mean, she put on a lot of weight. I met with her often, and by the end of the summer, I became used to a Darlene with an extra round face, bigger arms, bigger hips and butt, larger boobs, and, most noticeably, jiggly rolls around her belly. These weren’t pretty rolls. I knew Darlene was down to only a few pants that fit – and she couldn’t even zip some of them up. This chunkier Darlene definitely needed to lose the weight. She was carrying too much excess weight for her frame. Enter: Omni-Calm’s Hydrojet Therapy Weight Loss System. Hydrojet Therapy uses heat, water pressure and... Continue reading

Sandy is really changing. It’s incredible. When I see her or talk to her, it’s as though I can feel a noticeable shift. She’s the same…only enhanced. More balanced. It’s a change difficult to articulate, because it’s not something you can see. You sense it. Say you have a friend who starts dating a new guy; she becomes happier, lighter, more herself. She’s the same, but better, because she’s found someone to whom she can really connect. Or you have another friend who comes back from 8 months in another country and he’s “grown” and “evolved.” You recognize him, he’s the same…only it’s as if he’s more comfortable with himself. The shift in Sandy is similar to these types of intangible shifts you can sense in close friends and family. For example, Sandy is handling stress as it relates to money and her business in ways she previously could not. Earlier in the week, she faced the possibility of losing one of her biggest clients. Normally, this would cause crippling anxiety and stress for Sandy. “But,” she told me, “I have to say I wasn’t out of my mind.” This was huge! She was so even-keeled and nonchalant about the... Hi Sheri, This is a great idea. I particularly like the Daydream Meditation...that may come natural to me! :) And I think we all do need to stop and focus on the process, rather than the product/outcome. Doing so really just serves to stress us out. Best, Alicia

“Darlene!” I said, “You are so skinny!” This was on Friday, when I came in to Omni-Calm to check in with Darlene and go over some of the projects we were working on. I ran into her in the hallway, stopped short, looked her up and down, and let out something like an excited and spastic giggle of disbelief. My eyes were bug-eyed and I had a huge grin on my face. “Oh My God, Darlene,” I said, “You are so skinny!” “I know!” said Darlene. And she picked up and jiggled her loose pants, now held together with a safety pin, and moved her shirt around her now flat and toned-looking mid-section. I was literally gaping. I was speechless. And I’m similarly speechless trying to write this. Let me tell you what’s going on, and you’ll understand why this is hard to believe. It has been one week since I last saw Darlene. During that time, she completed two Hydrojet Therapy Weight Loss treatments. In roughly 6-7 days, Darlene has taken two (2) heated, pressurized herbal bath treatments and has visually lost a significant amount of weight. *speechless* I am very familiar with Darlene and the way she looks... I don’t have a traditional MD here in Colorado. My healthcare practitioner is Darlene Vouama, CMI, AHT, of Embracing The Gift. She has consistently provided for me healthcare services above and beyond anything I’ve ever received from both traditional and alternative doctors and practitioners. I knew that she would not only tell me exactly what was going on, but assist me in completely recovering from my reaction. The smartest move would have been to call Darlene immediately after the massage, but, looking back, I know I was in denial about how bad things actually were. I called Darlene on a Saturday morning. With her work phone forwarded after-hours, she picked up and listened to my whimpering, traumatized account of the Massage-Gone-Very-Wrong. She worked with me on the spot, over the phone to identify exactly what was occurring within my body. We learned that the massage had released a dormant, autoimmune illness, and as it circulated within my system, it increased in severity. The toxin load was “clumpy” and traditional detoxification methods, such as those suggested by the massage center, were not only completely ineffective, but actually exacerbated the condition. Darlene was very, very concerned for me. She explained that without... Continue reading

I went and got a massage a couple of weeks ago - nothing too fancy, just a basic full-body massage. I anticipated that this massage would be a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing experience. Unfortunately, this massage was the beginning of a pretty bizarre Alicia-health story. My massage released such a massive load of hidden toxins that I ended up incredibly sick. And as my body struggled and failed – even with the aid of traditional detoxification methods – to flush these toxins, my illness steadily worsened. The massage center staff completely failed to help me. So I called Darlene and Omni-Calm. Because of the Flush treatment, I went from crumbling and dilapidated to back-on-track in no time. If I hadn’t known Darlene, if Darlene didn’t do what she did for me, I probably would have ended up in the hospital. Towards the end of my massage, and immediately thereafter, I began to feel slightly ill and lethargic. My body felt heavy, my mind as though it were in a daze. I felt like I was drunk, but also coming down with the flu. When I mentioned this groggy state to my massage therapist, she suggested I drink plenty of water... Continue reading
