Last night I got a phone call from my fellow Jayne ,Toni, telling me she was listing an outfit with one of my mermaid's appliqued by our fellow Jayne, Andrea...and that I should paint a mermaid at the same time so we could cross-promote. So I thought I'd paint a simple one, but then this idea came in my head and I had to give it a whirl. When I was little, we spent every summer at Loon Lake in Eastern Washington. I'd sit on the end of the dock and stick my feet in the water...but they never stayed... Continue reading

Today we did our annual visit to Riverview Farms for apple picking, raspberry picking (mostly eating!), pumpkin selection, hayride, and the corn maze. The weather was perfect - near 70 degrees - and the leaves were just past peak, so the color was amazing. The farm was PACKED! I think everyone else had the same idea we did today! Took lots of pictures and enjoyed what is probably our last trip to our favorite orchard. Added a new photo album of pics. Jack took as well...look to the side. Continue reading

I just have to share this one as it WORKS!!! We have a large exercise ball in our fitness room, but I would never use it as there were often others working out and I didn't want to look totally dorky having never used one before. So one day, when I was alone in there, I tried it out...doing situps. To my surprise they were very easy, very comfy on my lower back, and I could feel muscles being used I rarely felt before. I also saw results very quickly! So every time I was alone in the room, I... Continue reading

This is Griselda with her kitty, Black Jack. Black Jack is wool felted and quite sweet. He is named for a solid black cat I had as a child, who's name was Black Jack. Not my sweet hubby, Jack. They will be available on June 10 at www.pfattmarketplace.com in my little shop there. The girls of PFATT are having a "PFREAKY PFATT PFRIGHT" theme this month and all sellers will be making Halloween and fall themed items. I have two more dolls I am working on for the shop. Be sure to stop by (I'll remind you then!) as there... Continue reading

...I changed it! I got tons of e-mails telling me this was your favorite, but it was driving me nuts! Now I'm going to get tons of e-mails telling me I'm nuts! I already know that, so no need to write. Didn't like the pink sky, the rainbow, the fish, or the sun! So I decided to paint over it and will put it in the girls rooms. That's Jen in the boat looking teenagerish with her favorite stuffed puppy and Cam on the land with her Webkinz kitty (can you tell I had guidance?). The sun cracks me up... Continue reading

I've been tagged by Michele for the Middle Name Game. I also have to tag other people, so if you've been tagged here is what you do: Players, you must list one fact that is somehow relevant to your life for each letter of your middle name. If you don’t have a middle name, use the middle name you would have liked to have had. When you are tagged you need to write your own blog post containing your own middle name game facts. At the end of your blog post, you need to choose one person for each letter... Continue reading

I had hoped to paint on the balcony here, but it's been too cold! As a matter of fact...it SNOWED last night! Yep...everyone is blaming us for bringing the snow with us. Crazy weather!!! Anyway...the ginormous master bathroom was useful for a temporary "studio" today while I created this little cutie for the Boutique Gypsies launch... Link to the listing...http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZsweetimaginations The outfit she is wearing was inspired from a design created by ebay ID dandelionavenue. Super cute! It felt GREAT to paint again! I have three customs I need to get caught up on, then plan to hopefully come up... Continue reading

My wise old mother shared this story with me...she got it in an e-mail and passed it on to me... ************************************ The teacher started class without saying a word. On the table in front of the class were three hot plates, each with its own pot of boiling water. Exaggerating his movements like a chef on one those cooking shows, the teacher placed a handful of carrots in the first pot. In the second, he placed a couple eggs. And in the third, he placed some ground coffee beans. Then, as if the bell had just rang and nothing unusual... Continue reading

m still here. My mom has alerted me yet again that I am a bad blogger! I've just been busy off the computer and off the easel! What have I been doing? Cleaning, purging, shopping (growing children....updating me!), yoga, power walks, reading about nutrition and shopaholics, and doing pretty much anything but working! I needed the break. I also finished my very last custom...at least my very last for a long time. Customs always slow me down and stress me out, so I am going to stop doing them and focus on all these other ideas floating about in my... Continue reading
