Seeew... No, that's not "Holly." That's the "Mothership"...her name btw is Jan. About five years ago I adopted the name "Mothership" because I had some woman harrassing me through email and comments about how I referred to her as "my mom" and tried to mock the fact that we are a mother/son team. It was getting seeew bad that I started to not want to post. Well, unbeknownst to me our loyal blog readers enjoyed the nickname seeew much that it just took hold and the "Mothership" was born. The moral of the story...take someone's negative and turn it upside... Continue reading

Seeew... Happy Hump Day! Two days down...and two days to go! Sometimes I just have to sit back and marvel at all of the cuteness around the Shoppe lately! It certainly helps that we have such a delicious bakery next door as I tend to borrow (well...ok, I actually make a few purchases) a few props! I am loving...LOVING...our Sunny Sunday Supper Table Runner right now. Those yellows, aquas and greens just give this block seeew much more whimsy! The "Mothership" even packed each individual block in our kits to help with fabric placement! If I had to choose just... Continue reading

Seeew... I have often thought of the Shoppe as one giant story. We have had many chapters over the last 12 years, but out of all of them...I think this new location is the most charming. Every great story includes a peaceful setting, a cast of characters, a theme and of course, a...happily ever after. Is this not gorgeous? I appreciate how things come to life with all of the behind-the-scenes work. Whether it's a theme park production, a quilt store or even a bakery...there is always much work that goes into creating an imaginative space. BTW....when that choir chimes... Continue reading

Seeew... Today we're happy to share Jan's featured project for our "What's For Breakfast? Mother's Celebration Brunch"which was held this past weekend here at the Shoppe! But celebration of Mother's Day.... Um...what am I trying to say here exactly? LOL. As you might know by now, we offer our "What's For Breakfast?" event each month and each month, Jan comes up with something cute as her featured project. Enter this cutie... For our Mother's Celebration Brunch, she wanted to feature something that would not just be cute, but practical for our guests who joined us. Something they could use... Continue reading

Seeew... Do you like our umbrella? It's "another day of sun" here in Oregon and another chance for a blog give-away! But first, it's just not quite a sunny day out here without dancing on some cars! After all we have a very large parking lot! Oh yes, you had to know it was coming! How could I not pay tribute to one of my all-time favorite movies of 2016? Is that just not the best??? I can't imagine the amount of work it took to get that sequence filmed! My favorite is the gal in the yellow dress with... Continue reading

Seeew... If you weren't able to join us for our April "What's For Breakfast?" event, we gave everyone who attended an introduction to paper piecing with this cute kitchen towel. Whether it's just for you or a gift, it's a quick project that you can make in a weekend. The best part is that you can arrange the layout of your pattern to fit your own personal style! All of the items needed to make this project are available to purchase here at the Shoppe. For our fabric we selected a variety of prints from Lori Holt's Sew Cherry 2,... Continue reading

Seeew... We are settling into our new location and looking forward to the seasons to come! As I said before, it's much like our very first location. I'm loving the quaint size and I'm loving the 20 feet high ceilings! In fact, we've always wanted "something just like this." You know what else I've always wanted? A quilt with greys and blues! Now let's get many of you have someone in your family that doesn't sew but when it comes to a quilt they tell you..."I want something just like this?" Well what does that mean? Be specific? Do... Seeew... We are now open in Wilsonville (in the Charbonneau district) 10am-4pm Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday. My apologies for the repetition but for some reason I get emails asking hours, even though I have it directly on the front page of our website here. Seeew I'm not trying to be annoying...but, helpful. I've also noticed a lot of folks talking about how they looked us up on Google and found incorrect info. My recommendation is to always visit our actual website Google is a massive search engine and it doesn't always have correct updates, especially when you... Continue reading

Seeew... We are now open Tuesday through Saturday 10am-4pm. Our new address is 31840 SW Charbonneau Dr. Wilsonville, OR 97070. We are in the Charbonneau Village Center on the end near Lux Sucre Desserts. *Underneath the flag pole! As you can see above we are starting to plant up our front entrance! I also made a trip to the bakery a few times! O.K. maybe it was every day...but still, there are enough natural areas to walk around our new neighborhood! I'm not worried in the least! As for Jan, the "Mothership" - she has been submerged in continual creativity.... Continue reading

Seeew... Are you ready to see Beauty & The Beast???? It starts this Friday and I'm in love with the Overture! I bet you thought I meant are you ready for our new location? Mmmhmmm. I already know you are excited because I've caught a few of you scoping out the place! Would you like to know that I've got my Wednesday underpants on? Staring at me through the windows isn't going to get me to open the place before we are ready. LOL. "You can ask any Tom, Dick or Stanley..." and they will tell you the same thing... Continue reading

Seeew... Throughout our 12 years in existence, one thing is for sure....we've always danced to our own song. A quilt shop much like a quilt, is full of moments that last forever. From the arrival of a new grandchild and until the end nears for a loved one, the song of creating lives on. "Maybe some moments aren't so perfect, maybe some memories not so sweet, but we have to know some bad times or our lives are incomplete...." It should be no surprise that the song I'm featuring today is from none other than the legendary Celine Dion! Celine's... Continue reading

Seeew... If you follow us on Instagram you know by now that we have found a new location! Or in other words...we've found our way back home! We have not posted details yet on our website as we are in the process of unpacking, painting, having our cutting counter constructed, setting up our office, studying the area traffic and everything else that needs to be done. You can bet I will share all of the details (address, phone number, etc.) when we are 100% ready. For the past two months we've been creating new kits and running some fabulous sales... Seeew... We have another winner announcement! I'm telling you there will be seeew much winning your head will spin! But first, do you know who else is winning? That's right! The "Mothership!" She has been buzzing about in the "creative hive" planning projects to decorate our new location! Remember that stack of Darling Little Dickens she was cutting? Well, she decided to make the Tumblers quilt from Fresh Family Traditions by the lovely Sherri McConnell. Our finished sample is approximately 37" x 51" which is the perfect size to hang over a sweet crib and for the nursery in general.... Continue reading

Seeew... Remember in January when I posted "We Know The Way" from Disney's newest animated tale, "Moana?" Well..let's just say we've found the "heart" of our next location. Ya know, I can relate to ole' Moana. I'm not one to listen to anyone who says you can't do something. I also know that you sometimes need the wisdom of your elders to get beyond the hesitation. The stingray I suppose is the "Mothership", the boats are our quilts about to come out of their hidden location and that green light? Well, you'll have to wait and see! "Scars can heal... As a reminder, this Giveaway is for the Kimberbell Charm Pack. The Flamingo quilt is not the giveaway. Thanks so much for reading our blog!
Seeew... Before Florence flies South (and trust me, she will as we cannot make anymore kits with these fabrics) I wanted to do a little encore wrap up! Plus, I wanted to offer you another chance to engage with us and win something! You do like to win, right? Granted we can't give you all a car but what we can give you is the gift of sewing yet another project! However, let's focus on Florence for a minute. Florence is...a Flamingo. I love how they choose their mate. LOL. I don't think Florence would have a problem because she... Continue reading
