Hilarious to watch Gator fans squirming trying in vain to justify the meager performance of their rapidly rusting heroes. Must feel pretty rotten to be lying through your teeth trying to make your team look good. Actually trying to complain about the officiating breaks the Gators received? Appalling. Shameful. It will all work itself out in December. Hope you guys enjoyed your stay at the top. Work on your falling skills.
Sorry, guy, but you are making up crap with regards to the flag on Sheppard. You need to watch the video again. Hit, flag, bang-bang. Ridiculous call. Guy must have seen it out of the corner of his eye. The ref closer to the play made no call, didn't even bat an eye.
Refs also missed late out of bounds hits on Dennis Johnson and D.J. Williams, in addition to the blatant late spearing of Mallett. The spots on two of Tebow's and one of Cooper's so-called gains for first down were extraordinarily generous. No need to talk about conspiracy hooey, it was just a case of a bad officiating crew getting worked by the home team. Refs go into games with preconceived notions too, just like fans do. I don't know what was worse, the no call on Riley Cooper's awful offensive PI, the ridiculous call on Malcolm Sheppard (the suggestion it was for taunting does not fit the timing of the flag, that's just a pathetic attempt to justify a baseless flag), the extra yard and a half given Tebow on that spot inside the final minute, or the indefensible PI flag on Ramon Broadway. The receiver simply asked for the flag and was rewarded. Cowardly ref. No doubt in my mind, Florida would lose to Arkansas in a rematch, anywhere, anytime. Gator people forget that Joe Adams was Arkansas's best receiver, and Michael Smith their best runner and a leading receiver too. Their next best receiver was coming off a concussion the week before. Arkansas's passing game was severely diminished by injury. Meanwhile, Florida is badly lacking in playmakers on offense. If anyone is looking forward to the matchup with Alabama, let me advise you: Start looking forward to basketball season. Oh wait.
