I don't think Urban Meyer will leave so soon but I think eventually he will just like every other coach these days. I think the amount of early success he has had will eventually put pressure on him. If he were to leave today this would be my list of possible replacements: 1. Jon Gruden 2. Brian Kelly 3. Butch Davis 4. Mike Shannahan

Best thing about this team is that Calathes is gone. Guy had a bunch of stats but when crunch time came around the guy was a choker.He was a terrible leader too. Didn't make anyone around him better. This team looks more balanced.

Hey Cane fans stop whining about posters on your site. Follow Sarasota Cane, MTX Cane Jahomo and Ibis1966. They live on the Gator blogs. They are usually the first to post on the Gator blog or any Gator story. I don't even think they post anything on the UM blogs.If those guys weren't posting constantly over there, I doubt Gators would be posting on the UM blogs.

Jo, Isn't it obvious now that the Georgia rb came out and said what he said that this was two sided? Since you are part of the media the reported this as a one sided affair, it's only fair that you write a story on Brandon Spikes and his career at Florida highlighting the positives including coming back for his senior year when he could be in the NFL making millions especially after what happened to Bradford.

Jo, This is the film of the series where Spikes pokes the Georgia RB. Follow the series and at the 1:15 Spikes tackles him and gets an elbow to the face. The play where Spikes gets his helmet knocked off and looks like he got poked also, how does the Georgia players hand end up inside his helmet? One thing is to get it ripped off another is to get it taken off by hands inside your helmet. Of course Tebow isn't going to cry to the media. When has he been a guy that comes out and crys to the media? But when asked about the Spikes play he did say something like "nothing Spikes did Georgia didn't do" meaning they went after peoples eyes also. Another fact anyone failed to mention was the fact that Spikes isn't known as a dirty player. This guy has been at Florida 4 years and when have you heard of Spikes being dirty? Forget that he is a good player, the fact is Spikes has been a clean player his whole career at Florida but noone mentions that. Hey MTX-Cane, media is a business.They need to sell papers and subscriptions to make money.That's how they make a living.They need to get people's interest.People are interested in bringing the Gators down. Its a universal thing. When someone is doing well people want to see them fail. It doesn't always mean what they say is true. I agree with Gator Palooza from yesterday. Jo, you reported the Spikes incident as if was a one sided affair.This story about Tebow getting hit doesn't mean anything. Spikes got hands under his facemask that caused his helmet to come off and obviously got poked but you mentioned nothing about that. There was also a clear elbow to his chin on a tackle by the Georgia running back right before the poke happened but nothing was mentioned either.Tebow was also seen on the sidelines floushing out his eye. What do you think happened to him? Not saying you needed to say the Spikes was right for retaliating but saying it was an emotional game doesn't cut it. Slow the tape down and there is a clear elbow. First they ripped his helmet off and poke his eye than he gets an elbow to the chin and he should just sit there and take it. After watching the Arkansas game i thought that the trip on Rainey was illegal and shouldn't have been a fumble. To my surprise it looks like College Football rules allow the ball carrier to be tripped. Sounds crazy but that's what I found.

I think alot of people will disagree with me but the defense has earned the right to high step. They have won plenty of games this year on their own. Just keep the ball in front of you next time you are high stepping Doe. On the redzone topic, why don't we just get into eye formation and run between tackles? I don't think once you get to the five yardline you need to be calling that many different plays. I guarantee that if Moody gets the ball on the 5 yard line he will score in two tries. I think we are making it more complicated than it has to be.

I guess the fix is on in professional baseball too. How many bad calls have there been in the baseball playoffs this year? How many bad calls do you see in the NBA every year? One player drives and gets a fould called every time and another less popular player drives and gets no call. Human error is part of officiating every game. There are bad calls in every football game. The Doe fumble could have been over turned had there been a goal line camera but no conference has a goal line camera so that call would be a touchdown in all conferences.There was no way to over turn it because you can't see where the ball is relative to the goal line. It looked like a fumble but there wasn't 100% proof that it was. We got calls against us also that no one talks about. The Rainey trip against Arkansas when he fumbled. And the Stamper blow to head when he wasn't even looking and was having his head pushed down by the lineman. That should have been a no call. Florida was going to win both those games regardless of the calls.

Hey Raw Pimple, without a drop pass by FSU and Bradford not playing where would UM be? 3-3. Everyone gets breaks whether they are injuries, bad calls or missed opportunities. There are bad calls in every game. The pass interference was legit, the corner didn't turn around in time and ran into the receiver (I figure you can't understand that one because you are still crying over the call against Ohio State which was clearly pass interference). The personal foul shouldn't have been called but it was. The Rainey fumble which would have been a touchdown was a clear trip that wasn't called so guess what we got screwed.

How about the trip on Rainey that caused a fumble? Did they comment on that? That would have been a touchdown for Rainey.
