I've been on a stamping hiatus this summer for the most part, just enjoying time with my family. Now I'm ready to get back to some serious crafting! Yay! Today's project is one that took me many attempts before I finally came up with a card that I liked. It features the Regarding Dahlias stamp set, which I fell in love with at first sight! I really wanted to brayer with this set, but the tiny lines in the flower image did not allow the color to penetrate. So I decided to heat emboss the image with clear embossing powder... I really love the By The Tide stamp set, & wanted to use it to create some thank you cards. Here's what I came up with: I thought this turned out so pretty! Unfortunately my camera is still broken, so the colors are not as vibrant as in real life. I used the new In Colors Baked Brown Sugar and Coastal Cabana. These colors are so yummy, and look gorgeous with Calypso Coral! Stampin' Up! Supplies: STAMPS: By The Tide (c-129120 or w-131910), Perfectly Penned (c-122892 or w-128703) CARDSTOCK: Coastal Cabana (131297), Baked Brown Sugar (131296), Whisper White (100730) INK:... Today's project came about because I wanted to figure out what in the world to do with Washi Tape. I know it has been around for a while, but it is a new product that Stampin' Up! is carrying in the new Annual Catalog, & I had never used it before. I went to my Go To favorite hang-out place on the internet, Pinterest, & searched Washi Tape. Wow, there are some fantastic project ideas on there! This card was a CASE of several cards that I saw on there, though none of them used Washi Tape. Ugh, I wish... Continue reading

Supplies: STAMPS: Papillon Potpourri (c-123759 or w-123757), Curly Cute (c-120510 or w-117014) CARDSTOCK: Primrose Petals (126841), Raspberry Ripple (126842).Whisper White (100730) INK: Primrose Petals (126858), Raspberry Ripple (126859), Blushing Bride (coming back June 1st!)... Today's card features the very versitile Delightful Dozen stamp set, which has a stamp for almost every occasion! Love this set! Also featured is the Creped Filter Paper, which is in the Mini Catalog and will appear in the new Big Catalog, too! Whoot! To create the Crepe Filter Paper flower, first I spritzed the paper with the Gold Glow Smooch Spritz (retiring soon!), then used my Brayer to cover it in Primrose Petals ink. After the ink dried (didn't take long), I used my Blossom punch to punch out 4 flowers. The Crepe Filter Paper is very thin, so... Continue reading

Hi! Yesterday I shared a feminine card featuring the new Label Love stamp set and Soho Subway Designer Series Paper, & today I have a masculine version. I sometimes find it very hard to find products that work well for a masculine card, but the Soho Subway DSP is perfect! I simply used more masculine colors and substituted brads for ribbon & voila!, a masculine card that is clean & simple! I also love the Window Frames Framelits dies that create the background for the Artisan Label punched piece. Stampin' Up! Supplies: STAMPS: Label Love (c-130622 or w-130619) CARDSTOCK: Island... Whoot! All of my new sneak peek goodies from Stampin' Up! arrived this week, & I am so excited! My family had a million things going on this weekend, but I finally got a chance to play with my new stuff this afternoon. This card features the brand new Label Love stamp set and the Soho Subway Designer Series Paper. Oh, it also had a brand new In Color, Crisp Canteloupe! Love it! Isn't that new paper yummy? The number print is perfect for a birthday card. I couldn't decide whether to make a masculine or feminine birthday card, so... Continue reading

This is such a great stamp set for summer! I love how this card turned out! The gorgeous Doily Die with the Summer Smooches DSP and the Old Olive brads... I love this card! Also retiring on this card is the Lucky Limeade cardstock and marker. I was sad that Lucky Limeade didn't make it into the new Color Refresh. Such a bright and cheery color Stampin' Up! It feels like forever since I've posted a project, but I have been stamping! Sometimes I feel like I'm in a time-warp though. Ha! This is a card that I made for my sister for her birthday. It features the Carry On stamp set, which is so on trend right now! I punched out the purse with the little Curly Label punch that was available as a FREE Sale-a-bration item, but it is now available for sale! Yippee! I added glitter all over it to really add some birthday bling! Stampin' Up! Supplies: STAMPS: Carry On (Hostess set c-126647 or... Continue reading

Today I have an Easter card that features a bunny that was made with punches, a.k.a. paper piecing or punch art. I have been making so many different layouts with this adorable bunny! Today's card was inspired by the Mojo Monday sketch this week. I had to switch the flower & square pieces from the layout so I could have the banner underneath the flower, & I rotated the sketch 90 degrees, but otherwise was true to the sketch. Love the chevron paper from the Summer Smooches DSP. The Easter greeting is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set. Stampin'... Continue reading

Happy Sunday! When I first saw the Swallowtail stamp in the Spring Mini Catalog, I honestly did not think that I wanted it. It's pretty, but it just didn't grab me. Then my friend, Pam ordered it, and WOW! I am in love! I wish you could see how shiny it is, but you'll have to take my word for it. I heat embossed it with Early Espresso Embossing Powder (a carry over item from the Holiay Mini Catalog), then took a sponge dauber & the Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint & dabbed it all over. Stunning! It is so trendy right now, & the sayings can work for practically any occasion! The cupcake is heat embossed with the Early Espresso embossing powder. Looks yummy! And I am crazy about that More Amore specialty DSP. Gorgeous! Stampin' Up! Happy Sunday! Normally I would be running my son all over town for his various sports today, but he broke his finger on Friday at school, so I have the day off and can stamp! I don't mean to make light of his injury, but you have to look for the silver lining. :-) Today I wanted to make a Valentine with my Hearts a Flutter stamp set & coordinating Hearts a Flutter Framelits, so this is what I came up with: I love the Cherry Cobbler & Crumb Cake combo. Good morning! Today I really wanted to create a new card with my FREE Sale-a-bration stamp set called Bloomin' Marvelous. I think it is so adorable (or "totes adore" as my 14 year old would say!) Ha! For inspiration, I checked out the Splitcoast Color Challenge for this week, which was Daffodil Delight, Island Indigo, and Lucky Limeade, or Lucky Island Delight as they call it. I love a clean & simple layout, & it works perfectly with this set. The bonus challenge was to add buttons, so I added clear buttons with a piece of cardstock punched to back... Continue reading

Hello! Quick post today... my baby has her 1 year old check up this morning. Ugh, I dread these appointments! Anyway, I wanted to get back into the Mojo Monday swing of things, so this is my interpretation of yesterday's sketch: I pulled out the oldie but goodie, Apothecary Art stamp set for this sketch, & I love how pretty it is with the Twitterpated paper. Yum! The pink color in the DSP was retired, so I pulled in the new In Color, Raspberry Ripple, on the ribbon. I thought it coordinated really well. Thanks for stopping by! Be sure... Continue reading

Woohoo! Posting twice in one week! I'm on a roll. :-) Anyway, I wanted to do a sketch challenge, so I popped over to splitcoast & thought this sketch would be perfect for the Greeting Card Kids stamp set. The lighting is horrible, since I had to take the photo with my phone. I need to get my camera lens fixed! Anyway, I think you can still see how pretty it turned out. :-) The one thing that you can't see though, is the sparkly heart that I made with the red Dazzling Diamonds. It looks so pretty IRL. On...
