Thanks for answering my question, Joe. I think that we all at one time or another have a love-hate relationship with social media. Personally, I think that you have been so awesome in keeping in touch with your fans and keeping us entertained and engaged...I guess we tweeters have been equally guilty of being partners in crime in distracting you! lol. The best to you on your next Nick Heller adventure!
Mahalo @Webook for posting my picture with Joe's books. I have since added his out-of-print books to make my collection complete! http://www.twitpic.com/jxs01
Aloha, Joe! I was re-reading some of your books and noticed that you seem to incorporate some facts from your own life, or that of people you know, as details in your stories. A Blackwing pencil, red sox, etc. are a few real life connections it seems. In Extraordinary Powers the character Ben, has a photographic memory. I was wondering if you knew someone who had this amazing ability?
Hi Joe! I'd like to ask about your most embarrassing moment; I'm sure there are many! :> But since we initially met on twitter and facebook, I'd like to ask you to describe both positive & negative experiences that you may have had using these social media. You are very engaged with your fans, especially on twitter, and I'm wondering if at times it can be overwhelming or even "frightening?"
Hi Ben, In preparing to ask you "quirky" questions, I read your August 4, 2002 blog on how you got your start in writing. Three questions come to mind all of which probably have a remote connection to writing: 1) are you still a "hypochondriac?" Photos of you and the Bugman tell me that perhaps, times have changed. 2) do you still not drive and dislike flying, and why? Why do you also need to have a magazine open to a person with a "happy face?" 3) Why did you read Hemmingway's "The Sun Also Rises the first of every month and do you still do this?" 4) Okay, I have four questions: Do family members still move your books around to help you with publicity? Maybe we ALL could help! :D Signing out with my quirky red pen, Merle :)
