There is zero downside to bringing in this kid as a QB, for the reasons mentioned above, and as an insurance policy. It's a no lose scenario for an open scholarship. Anybody that has an issue must be so steeped in negativity they can't think straight.

Coach didn't go. Lebron did. Posted by: BEERicane | June 13, 2014 at 12:44 PM Clearly, you have ZERO management and leadership experience. Real life doesn't work like that. Unless maybe you're in a self induced beer fog, 24/7.

A coach goes to three straight NBA championships, wins 2, and is in a fourth one. So fire him. Straight up ludicrous. I think there's some brain damage at work here.

86, having never been a head coach made him a risky hire by definition, imo. Sometimes the hotshot, demonstrative, loudmouth DC's don't make good head coaches. The major problem with chump, aside from his offensive philosophy, is his lack of emotional control. Going "wild" in very small doses may be effective, but anymore than that and kids just tune you out as being a loudmouth clueless buffoon, with very little to offer other than the tired wildman act. It's easy to lose respect in a results oriented endeavor, like coaching. Kids are good at hiding it, but they they lose respect if the authority figure acts like a juvenile.
Muschamp is hanging on by the thinnest of threads. Most turds I know want him fired yesterday.
Homer through thick and thin. Coaches have my support as long as they are employed by Miami. Even as a homer, though, my patience is wearing thin...I'm thinking the staff has this year and next to prove they have "it", unless they sh*t the bed this year, like 5-6 wins.
Sony = any ... don't even know why spellcheck did that
Unless you teleported in from the 1950's in a time machine, if you spend Sony time with youngsters, you would know that words like "gangsta", in this day and age, are harmless.

It would be important to educate yourselves about the financing and logistics of a private, non-profit academic institution before wildly general and uninformed proclamations are bandied about. Understanding this, where the inflows of capital go, and how athletics are funded at a school like Miami, might also be helpful. The significance of shouting "TAX FREE" is nil. I'm sure Soup can educate the readers here.

Quick word about baseball opponent on Friday. Their starting pitcher would be a number 1 starter and ace on a lot of D1 teams in the country. The guy's that good and can single handedly beat anyone. Montana Durapau can pitch.

FACTS? NO DISRESPECT BUT IT ONLY SHOWS HOW MUCH EACH STADIUM HOLDS!WHAT WOULD BE WORSE THEN NOW?A STADUIM NOT ON CAMPUS?TO MANY SEATS?DIRECTIONAL PARKING?STUDENTS THAT DONT SHOW UP OR LEAVE AT HALF TIME AT A BIG GAME?FAIR WEATHER FANS THAT DONT SHOW UP TO GAMES AND LIVE WITHING 4 HOURS?YEA I GUESS IT COULD ALOT WORSE Posted by: canezilla | May 21, 2014 at 08:31 AM The problems claimed above would not be solved by a new stadium. Total and complete logic fail. With the exception of maybe a couple of people, it's the people that never or rarely attend games that are the ones bellyaching for a new stadium. Those of us that actually go, while realizing that there's no replacing the Orange Bowl, are fine with SLS. We also know that now that Ross has basically put $400 million on the table for stadium improvements that helps us. Start winning more consistently and watch the gameday atmosphere improve. Listen to Soup. He understands the financial and logistical realities of a school built stadium (almost impossible) or sharing a 25k stadium with a minor league soccer franchise compared to the benefit of where we are now.

This is a fact. Makes me wonder if there was some cronyism going on here. Posted by: The Dude | May 20, 2014 at 02:19 PM Cronyism always goes on. But this just smells like incompetence from an engineering standpoint. It's science and math and it's relatively straightforward (for construction/design engineers, not lay people). Like the spaceship that crashed into Mars years ago - somebody at NASA didn't make the conversion from the metric to English numbers, and the spacecraft entered the Martian atmosphere at too fast a rate of speed. BOOM

Major engineering fail. Should never happen. It's a big deal stadium for high school, a palace, better than any high school stadium I've ever seen by a factor of a 1,000, but should be a cakewalk for the engineers tasked with making the design a reality. Engineering malpractice.

Actually I did not mean offense, I just strongly disagree. Honestly, you come across as an intransigent zealot who can't stand to be called out. I stand by my position that calling AJ's manhood or character into question, without knowing the inside specific circumstances nor the actual individual, is not only extreme and foolish, it's delusional to the extent you think you actually know the man's character. I don't claim to know his character for sure either, but I do know his acts, deeds, and reputation as a professional. From everything I can tell, it's spotless.

But I think they have the finances to do either... Posted by: CaneRock | May 17, 2014 at 03:57 PM Respectfully, I disagree. They had to beg the fan base like crazy for the $7 million required to upgrade practice facilities and build a new turf practice field. Have you seen the practice fields recently? Shameful! People just don't realize the enormous money disparity between Miami and other SEC teams, FSU, Florida, etc.
