Second in the Kaaya post by SJM. Because of the preoccupation out there with the negative, it's important to note just what levels this young man is achieving - straight out of his high school prom.

Posted by: Ohio_Cane | October 22, 2014 at 03:04 PM You know what else, Ohio? I bet you a stack, this goes on at 100% of the SEC schools, and is probably even way more pervasive than this example. They are experts at hiding illegalities, since we know many SEC players draw booster salaries. Don't get me started on the sham education football players get at FSU, either.

Why 70 if our D has only given up more than 28 points once all season? Posted by: Go Canes | October 22, 2014 at 03:14 PM Great question. I posed a serious comment regarding what I think would be the keys to victory. Maybe I'm wrong, but it would be nice to see what others think would be their keys. Third down conversions on birth sides of the ball are a real problem, but since the offense is/should be playing better, a few more sustainable drives seem like they would take some pressure of the D.

Posted by: Ohio_Cane | October 22, 2014 at 03:04 PM If this is not Lack Of Institutional Control or worse yet, active and premeditated cheating to gain an advantage, on a grand scale, then I don't know what is. To me, this is closer to death penalty territory (though I don't think that should happen), than that little worm NS providing free burgers and bowling shoes.

Tomorrow's game. My three keys to victory 1. Convert 3rd downs and extend drives, more than we have, when not scoring quick TD's. Hopefully 5 or more extended drives, with at least 2 3rd down conversions 2. No Special Team snafus on either side of the ball 3. No offensive turnovers This assumes not playing spectularly on defense, just average

I'm not superstitious, but I'll try just about anything if it means we beat VaTech. It would mean so much not just for the season, but for the next week's game versus NC, the Kelly Tough game. I would love to see a decent crowd there. Whole family's got their Kelly tough shirts. We're ready.

There are things to be grateful for. Seeing that picture of the gator hanging, makes mr grateful for being there when we beat the Gator. That was very very pleasurable!

It's not easy being a loyal fan. Much less easier to run a blog, when you're working 12 hours a day, which I'm sure you do. When I first started posting, Ohio, Mike, Terrance, and lots of other really sensible people posted a lot. I think it was after Louisville it turned really fast into hate ping-pong. I wish those people would post more and bring more balance. But I respect your opinion, and I'll keep checking every so often. Maybe the people that have a really good gut feeling about VT are right and the mood will improve?

There is zero downside to bringing in this kid as a QB, for the reasons mentioned above, and as an insurance policy. It's a no lose scenario for an open scholarship. Anybody that has an issue must be so steeped in negativity they can't think straight.

Coach didn't go. Lebron did. Posted by: BEERicane | June 13, 2014 at 12:44 PM Clearly, you have ZERO management and leadership experience. Real life doesn't work like that. Unless maybe you're in a self induced beer fog, 24/7.

A coach goes to three straight NBA championships, wins 2, and is in a fourth one. So fire him. Straight up ludicrous. I think there's some brain damage at work here.

86, having never been a head coach made him a risky hire by definition, imo. Sometimes the hotshot, demonstrative, loudmouth DC's don't make good head coaches. The major problem with chump, aside from his offensive philosophy, is his lack of emotional control. Going "wild" in very small doses may be effective, but anymore than that and kids just tune you out as being a loudmouth clueless buffoon, with very little to offer other than the tired wildman act. It's easy to lose respect in a results oriented endeavor, like coaching. Kids are good at hiding it, but they they lose respect if the authority figure acts like a juvenile.
Muschamp is hanging on by the thinnest of threads. Most turds I know want him fired yesterday.
Homer through thick and thin. Coaches have my support as long as they are employed by Miami. Even as a homer, though, my patience is wearing thin...I'm thinking the staff has this year and next to prove they have "it", unless they sh*t the bed this year, like 5-6 wins.
Sony = any ... don't even know why spellcheck did that
Unless you teleported in from the 1950's in a time machine, if you spend Sony time with youngsters, you would know that words like "gangsta", in this day and age, are harmless.

It would be important to educate yourselves about the financing and logistics of a private, non-profit academic institution before wildly general and uninformed proclamations are bandied about. Understanding this, where the inflows of capital go, and how athletics are funded at a school like Miami, might also be helpful. The significance of shouting "TAX FREE" is nil. I'm sure Soup can educate the readers here.

Quick word about baseball opponent on Friday. Their starting pitcher would be a number 1 starter and ace on a lot of D1 teams in the country. The guy's that good and can single handedly beat anyone. Montana Durapau can pitch.
