There. Got it straight at last. Now -- someone please shoot me. Please. I heard the most terrifying thing ever come from my mother this morning. She said, and I quote, "The problem with all these people in the government now is that they're too intelligent; they have no business trying to run a country." Hand to God, she said that! I don't know. I just don't know. I miss being able to watch what I want to watch since she also got laid out of work with a similar back injury. I haven't watched The Daily Show or Real... Hey, wow, I went and did it after all. You know how every time we start a new account at a new social network, we tend to brush off the motivation as 'well, it was gonna happen sooner or later anyway,' or some other such similar twaddle? Yeah, well, no, not gonna play that tired game. I am here out of my love and admiration of Wil Wheaton, and I refuse to be embarrassed by this confession. That 'kid' was like my future reincarnation or something on ST:TNG. I was exactly that 'kid' in school. I had a biology teacher... Continue reading

Works In Progress -- aren't we all though?
Wee, editing 'sample posts'! Pfft. Anyway, I'll get one of my posted art pieces popped into here as soon as I reclaim one from Photobucket or something. Continue reading

I swore I would stop failing to let people know how fantastic I think they are, as I failed you in the 80's by never sending in fanmail. I thoroughly believed you were worthy. It was my own opinion that I didn't believe in. Well, Wil Wheaton, know this -- every episode in which you appeared in this most recent season of The Guild was a true delight. And I have to say, at least it wasn't Clara getting the guy Codex was fated/doomed/Chosen to be with. That 'naked under that kilt' question had me even more worried for her marriage than her drunken make out session with the stunt guy. You know, she may be a little, um, difficult to follow at times, but Paula Abdul definitely had it right about opposites attracting. :P
the guild the guild the guild THE GUILD THE GUILD THE MOTHERFRAKKING GUILD
I, uh, had trouble coming up with a title for this post. Sorry about that. So season Three of The Guild wrapped up this week, and if the feedback I'm getting via Twitter and e-mail is any indication, we can make a note here: HUGE SUCCESS. Felicia has a post at her blog where she talks in a spoil...
Oh, on the Trapped in TVLand episode? I loved Dean's comment about what kind of guys wear sunglasses at night.
CSI: D&D
This is a little bit of gallows humor that I whipped up and sent to Scott Kurtz and my friends at Penny Arcade when we all knew that Aeofel was dead, but couldn't tell anyone else in the world. It seems pretty stupid and clunky now, but at the time, it was as hilarious as it was cathartic to me...
*ahem* My first TV crush was Pavel Chekov, actually. So, is 43 old by any chance?
you may ask yourself, "how do i work this?"
I stayed up way too late last night, waiting for Nolan to get home from the Horror thing at Universal. When I was younger, staying up until 3 was no big deal, but making it past midnight is a serious challenge, especially since my stupid brain insists on waking up between 7 and 8 no matter when ...
Is it weird that every time anyone on the podcast said 'fey step', I had to actively remind myself that they weren't saying 'face death'? I'm talking as far back as series two, when Aeofel was the probie, the new hire.
I'm saying this for the last time: HIS. NAME. IS. AEOFEL!
I've been pointing out new episodes of the D&D/Penny Arcade/PvP/Me podcast on Twitter, but since the third series draws to a close today, I thought I'd catch up, and then share some thoughts on the final episode. My last post took us up to episode three, so... Episode Four: In this episode, the...
Well, after a third listen, I can find humor in the event now. So you know, I'm working on a portrait of Aeofel in pastels, and I'll show it to the world soon as it is done. My best possible tribute to the fallen.
(And yeah, the background image on my lj page is my own work.)
