There is so much genuine competition, emotion, pride, and love going on here--for the nations and teammates. That's what Davis Cup is about and the 2010 season was a great example. Congrats to both teams for an outstanding display of that.

Normally I would not watch a match with either Fed or Sods, but I watched this one in its entirety and it was worth it. Some important things in the tennis world shifted ever so slightly and I'm excited to see where it goes from here.
On another note, at least we won't have to hear about a calendar slam for a while.

The best part of the match was showing the ATP player's box with everyone sitting right next to each other and Robbie Koenig's comment when seeing Almagro's pretty girlfriend: "It's incredible how being a half-decent tennis player can take your looks from about a 4 to a 9, as far as Almargro's concerned." Hilarious. And mean (true or not).
Also, Xisca and Nico's girlfriend hugged it out when the match was over.

Ugly was a good way to describe this match. It was not too fun to watch. Although Paris hasn't quite been the walking wounded that was the WTA season ending, the ATP certainly hasn't been pretty. Glad Rafa held it together though, I don't like doubting him.
