D3s – Maybe the best all around camera I’ve ever used. Only problem is weight and bulk …other than that, superb handling and performance. What’s not to like? Lenses good till telephoto …then, only adequate. The 24-70mm f/2.8, 180mm f/2.8 and the 50mm f/1.4 AFS are becoming favorites. 5D Mk II – Simply stunning photos irrespective of camera handling. Love the files and the telephotos are the best. Wide angle lenses not so great unless Zeiss. 70-200mm f/4 and 135mm f/2 are great! E-30 – Love the articulated screen and the body is a great balance of size and weight.... Continue reading

Canon = Always works pretty well. Good for normal to long lens work. Their wide angle stuff not nearly as good. However, with the Zeiss ZE and the Tokina, this can be pretty effective. For sheer resolution, the 5D mkII is pretty incredible. Rebels are great low-end SLR’s and the mid-line 40D is a super camera. Leica = What can you say? There is simply nothing else like it. Best lenses ever made for film …digital use is less certain. Lots of bucks, but a lifetime investment that can be passed on to future generations. Minolta (now Sony) = Liked... Continue reading
