and i PROMISE, the last time I'm doing this. PROMISE. PROMISE. PROMISE. I'm moving, and sheepishly saying so. this is not the right fit for me. i am not doing photography for other people, thus do not need the album feature here. i am not able to post as much, thus i do not want to be paying for this blog. so, please bear with me. i will go back to www.sweetperipety.blogspot.com. i feel this is a postive, welcoming move and hope you will visit me there! i will also share a "share" site i have with shutterfly. there, photo... was so quiet today. he perhaps has a bit of a cold and wanted to spend some time resting. yes, he actually went into his bed for a few moments. but now, he is outside playing in leaves. so there you go.... and he also sincerely likes Ella's best friend, Keturah, but somehow manages to pick on her constantly when she is there. so i think he REALLY likes her. hmmm..... we took food over to her mother after she had surgery and brought Keturah back home so she could visit Girl Scouts with Ella last night. it was a... that i finally put three items up for sale in A Spoonful of Charm! FINALLY! I think it's ready for a new look and a new look it will get. I have more to put in there, but time is hardpressed. I had some WONDERFUL volunteers over at Studio Calico to experiment and play with four kits I will put in my shop. Here is a sample of my favorite kit to be in store this week! Botanical Treasures- includes a variety of kraft cutouts (my favorite thing to make!!), beautiful motifs on 12x12 papers, and more! and as far... Continue reading

National Digital Scrapbooking Day. Now, previously, I wouldn't have had paid TOO much attention to this HOWEVER... It's been what I've been dabbling in for a couple weeks now! And tomorrow I will be putting digital kits and more in my Etsy shop. I can't say that it will be first thing, however, but throughout the day, digital collage pages, digital kits, and digital paper packs will trickle in there tomorrow and throughtout the coming week, guaranteed. I am very excited about this new venture. Here is a peak at a set of papers, complete ORIGINAL design by myself, that... Continue reading

that really felt like a summer one! what a rare experience right now. beautiful. speaking of summer, here's a digital layout i made today using....a kit that i created! this kit will be available soon, as well as another one, in my Etsy store, later this week. there's lots of girly elements in this kit however, here's how it can be used with boys. i added a bit of a whimsical, sketchy feel with the mouse-drawn words, sunrays, stems, leaves, and clouds (which are not part of the kit) but the papers, felted mushroom element, heart brad, and flowers are.... is all I wish to post today. it's been a tough few weeks, with a cough that i can't get rid of and a hairline fracture (rib) from that coughing. praying that there's some light at the end of the tunnel. my sweetie has been off all week so that was great timing to have his help. i am continuously struggling with feeling inferior and not successful...not a good combination when you are limited with what you can do anyways right now. so i thought posting this little thing i drew a week or so back would be uplifting. Ella's... Continue reading

God most certainly created a beautiful day today. This morning, as I look outside, I see trees hushed in brilliant silence while only a quiet wind slips through the leaves. The sound of neighbors cutting grass is soothing, as well as the few birdies we hear talking to each other. Their songs speak of creature joy! And the sun....the sun has decided to grace us with some lovely rays. Maybe not so much warmth as a July Saturday, but the light it brings warms the soul and eyes. Now, only if our hearts can continue with such beauty! Blessings! Continue reading

after a long week. i've been dealing with a cough that has been taking my voice and giving me a run down feeling. we did manage to sneak away to a sweet inn one night, nonetheless. Ella, Philip, and Will David were able to get some truly great swimming time. That WD is quite the little fish! Mommy was able to have a precious block of time playing the baby grand in the sitting area, and had a little audience even. we had two days of school off this week, and at this point, i'm not quite certain if we... Finally, I am revealing a few photos from our hot air balloon sightseeing a couple weekends ago. It was an adventure, for sure, through and through! What a breathtaking sight to see...there were twenty plus balloons lifting off ground. We just made it for about half of them. Traffic was not on our side, or anyone else's for that matter. Blessings, AMY Continue reading

Our week is starting off nicely. We have a couple of subjects done. We have a break right now. Piano lessons later. Will David is a BIG boy today, as he is potty training ON HIS OWN ACCORD, and wearing you know what instead of diapers! He is definitely a smart little guy!! It makes me happy seeing him happy about himself. I have a girls' night out tonight...yeah! And a deadline for More Paper Than Shoes today that I am cutting reeally close to! Here's a drawing of a young girl...not anyone specific, although at times I think it... Continue reading
